Thank you for this. As a little girl, I watched Perry Mason. And, now as young senior, 68, I watch it just about every night at 11:30PM. I saw and watched one episode of the new Perry Mason on HBO. It's trash. It's nothing like the original and legacy Perry Mason. You're not missing anything. I like this trip down memory lane you brought me on. Thank you.

I'm 56 and grew up watching Perry Mason reruns. I love the series and the actors were excellent in their respective roles. I also remember Barbara Hale's commercials for the Amana Radar-Range ovens..."Remember, if it doesn't say Amana, it's not a Radar Range."😊
Thank you for posting this and including the George Floyd memorial street art in Palm Springs.

Hi Soleman, i’m glad you liked the mural, too. I did receive quite a few very hateful comments about it (most had to be deleted), but I’m happy to say that the majority of my viewers and subscribers we’re happy that I included it,. I’m glad that most of my viewers and subscribers are lovers not haters 😊👍

Awe 🤗 I forgot she did those. Thank you for mentioning that. I used to love commercials when I was a kid and when microwaves came out I was really fascinated by the idea. Haha. I was so excited when my parents bought one too.

@@TheGraveyardChannel Keep doing You. Courage over cowardice. There will always be evil haters. Hint: When you ignore/block them, it pisses them off even more..🤣. Trust me, anyone who complained about you losing them after showing the George Floyd memorial street art in Palm Springs, was already "lost" and devoid of any humanity eons ago. Keep moving forward and posting positivity. You make people happy. 😁
I'm a former San Diego and SF resident. In the late 90"s my friends and I stayed at The Hacienda one Valentine's weekend. It has been the former Elizabeth Arden Spa. One of those friends currently lives in PS and I thinking about making a road trip there.
Growing up one of my favorite cartoons was the Jetsons. I also enjoyed the original Star Trek. When Barbara Hale introduced Amana microwave ovens to America via those commercials I was transfixed. I vowed to have one when I grew up. Consequently between my microwave and vintage Broil King, I've never used the electric double oven in my 1957 ranch home. Push button cooking at its finest.
Perry Mason started using Black actors in the courtroom scenes as spectators and jurors in the early '60's. Theres even an episode where the butler wasn't the murderer, but the Black maid was!
      Thank you for posting.

Thank you for the information and the very interesting video. The Perry Mason cast was exceptional. We record all the reruns on all the channels and have the CD’s. There is always something we’ve missed when we watch the episodes more than once! I thought Della was very beautiful. Her personality (at least on the show) was delightful. I’ll bet she was just as nice in person. As for Raymond Burr, my mother loved him. She watched Perry Mason when I was a child and I always remembered Perry’s office and that “Pecky Cypress” paneling. Mom loved the movies he made afterwards as well. It was so fun to watch Della and Perry grow “old” together.....they did have something special. The chemistry between them was something that couldn’t have been part of a script. It just came naturally. ♥️

I don't know if Mr. Hopper was in the stage version. I've read that she and her rival Louella Parsons originally were hired by their studios to do essentially promotional work but unexpectedly both women became powerful and influential columnists. Hedda Hopper had started out an actress but after she was an established columnist did play herself in the movie "Sunset Boulevard".

I used to service Raymund Burr's pool, on Hillside Dr. in the Hollywood Hills in the late 1970's. Since my mom worked at Universal Studios, sometimes she would take my brothers and I to some of the sets there. It was about 1967, or 1968. We were on the empty set for "Ironside." Raymund Burr was the star of that show. I, as a kid was rolling around on the set, the kitchen scene, in Raymund Burr's wheelchair prop for the show. Suddenly Darren Mc Gavin happened to walk by the set, saw us, and he looked at me, bent down, and shook my hand, and said, "hello young man", and then proceeded to continue going to where he was going. I didn't know who he was at the time, but my mom tried explaining, as she would have numerous interactions with the actors there. Great Vlog!!!

Thank you for this. As a child, i waa raised by my aunt. And as a depression era child she only went to school up to the sixth grade like many back then, and she longed to be a lawyer. But due to discrimination and yes lack of education her dream went unfulfilled. She would catch every episode of Perry mason! And as we only had one television i was stuck watching the show and hated until one day i got the law bug. Instead though i became a paralegal
I had kids to feed and thusly could not afford law school but instead i became a Paralegal. I had a voracious love for reading. Thank you for this my friend and thank you for the mentioning of George Floyd the way you presented it! And if you get a chance pick up the early movie serials during the 30's The new Perry Mason is based on those serials, not the television series! Raymond Burr and cast will always be my favorite as they portrayed minorities very respectfully Ivan Dixon in one of his first role and they actually had a black judge once.....i apologize if i may have inadvertently became political. But i had to compliment you for your respect for the cast. But i also wanted to add a wee bit of a context to the floyd mural! This really made my day....at 7:02 am. And one other thing how is your mother! I hope she is well! 😷 stay safe bro!! To be honest was hoping you would do one on this show......my one sadness is that she did not live long enough to see the late 80's and early 90's tele-movie series!

Gail Patrick who was the Executive Producer on Perry Mason told Barbara Hale to wear dresses that were basically knee length. Ms. Patrick felt that the knee length style wouldn't be too dated if the show was to go into reruns.
How right she was. Fifty-four years later after the last show aired, Ms. Street still looks great.
On a side note. What I'd give to have one those classic Thunderbirds that Paul Drake drove or those high end Fords and later, Lincolns that Perry drove!
