The strange period where HHH was face for absolutely no reason. Went from the biggest heel to a huge face for absolutely no other reason than the fans decided to love him all of a sudden. WWE soon nipped that in the bud with him being behind Austin getting run down 😂
He became a face because of his feud with Kurt Angle through that year... The way that he would always act like a "good protecting husband" made the audiance start to like him.
He was protecting his wife as a heel. He was never a good guy. JR badmouthed her. He got his ass whopped. Rock badmouthed her. HHH whopped his ass. Jericho badmouthed and kissed her, he whooped his ass. Same with Kurt and Benoit. He literally did nothing to be a face. @GabrielLimaHere
@@Speedyreedy1218 Bro, you said it yourself: He was beating down the guys that "badmouthed" his wife. That was literally a "face attitude" right there. He was the loving husband that did everything to protect his wife, even though she was terrible...
@GabrielLimaHere That's NOT a face thing. Defending your wife is not a face thing. He did it in 99 as a heel, and in 00 as a heel. He was booed every time he did literally until the late summer. But he wasn't behaving any different Dec 99-July 99 than he did in Aug-Oct 00.
@@Speedyreedy1218 The difference is that before he was defending her from faces... But when he defended her from heels like Y2J and Kurt Angle, that's when the attitude turned into a "face attitude". Do you get it now?
He was ALWAYS technical. But since the top guys the fans cheered weren't, (Austin, Rock) he had to significantly dumb down his style. When he's having the most fun is when he can tell a story AND be technical. Those matches he has tend to be with Benoit, HBK, Undertaker, Jericho, and Kurt.
Don't sleep on the Smackdown match in February 2000, or the ironman match on Raw in 2004, or Vengeance 2004, or the Raw in 2005 two weeks before WM21, or the one November 2005 for the Eddie tribute on SD.
Post the full match. This was a classic. A rare time where Vince actually let two technical wrestlers...wrestle technically.
Love heel v heel matches.
Gold

I remember this. Triple H was very technical here
He can be as technical as he wants to be, just like his match vs Daniel Bryan too

Супер бой.
For mine this is the best match these 2 had against each other.

This actually great match I wonder what main event was the PPV
The main event of the PPV was The Rock vs Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship:

This should have main evented.
What is the name of the move in the thumbnail?
Death lock and bridge or more popularly known as the mutalock

What a match. Glad HHH got the w
Stupid mtohfkers like you the reason, he took WWE to gutter.
He deserved it.
He worked his ass off (every year), but especially this one.
Never knew they fought back in 2000
me too, but i got more surprised when i find out that Triple H was a babyface in their feud
@@wrestlingkingdom2022 a baby face in 2000 is also surprising and chris is older than hhh wow....
@@wrestlingkingdom2022 Triple H was more of a tweener at this point. Not really a face
Triple H was Benoit’s very first opponent in wwe months prior
They had like 5 matches this year televised.
And as usual the guy that can't wrestle won
he could wrestle
@user-qc6mf9ox2z No he really can't
@chuckbuskee Sure kiddo
