  • Yesterday on TV Lord Sumption caused huge controversy by saying a stage 4 cancer patients' life was "less valuable" than others. He joined GMB today to expand on his comments and explain what he meant.

    ITV has now allowed comments on this video. This entire discussion shows why Good Morning Britain is garbage-tier television. I'd forgotten how craven and fear-mongering the broadcast media became during Covid-19, but this has brought it all back. Jonathan Sumption was pilloried by the hosts with straw-man arguments regarding his comments on quality of life. I don't expect Piers Morgan to be a fair host, but then you have Susanna Reid pathetically agreeing with him in the corner. Just utter drivel. GMB then went on to praise authoritarian governments like China for their 'draconian lockdowns'. I stopped watching broadcast 'news' a long time ago, and this video only reminds me of how correct that decision was.
