Hey Scottish guy in Moscow - thanks for starting this channel.
I’m from the UK LONDON, and as you have alluded to, we really don’t know Russia at all, especially since the geopolitical madness of the last 5-10 years where there has been consistent and deliberate dehumanisation of Russia.
I learnt about Russia in secondary school, their tsar history, soviet, world wars, fascinating history. Back then there was no major anti Russian propaganda (back in the
2000-2010)
I’ve always wanted to visit, but then propaganda and wars had to get in the way.
Then the media shut us all completely OUT! Only bad things are propagated to our western media.
It’s refreshing to see British people rejected the “Russia is evil” narrative, and learning by visiting to see the reality on the ground.
Topics I’m curious to see
1) what’s their healthcare system like (I’m in the healthcare sector)
2) what’s their railways/transport like (not so much the metro, but the other options)
3) what is their social life scene like: clubs, bars, restaurants, rooftops etc
4) public spaces? Parks etc
5) how friendly are people? Etc

Hello! If you are interested, let me briefly answer your interesting questions:
1) what is their healthcare system like.
Russia has had a good school of healthcare since the times of the Russian Empire. In the USSR, it received enormous development and the Russians were the first in the world to overcome many diseases, create breakthrough drugs, and achieve success in organ transpontology.
2) what kind of railway/transport do they have? We have a developed railway network, especially in the European part of the country. Because of the long distances, night trains are very popular here, for example: you board a train from Moscow to St. Petersburg at 11 p.m., go to bed and wake up in the morning in another city. At the same time, Russian Railways are the world record holder for punctuality)) We have been envious of German precision for a very long time, but now the Germans in Russia praise our trains and scold theirs. Our public transport is very developed - I have never had my own car, I love getting around cities by metro, trams, buses, trolleybuses, taxis - the level of comfort in big cities is very high. In the provinces the situation is a little worse, but it is improving every year.
3) what is their social life like: clubs, bars, restaurants, rooftops, etc.?
The cultural life of large cities with a population of over a million is in full swing, as in London, New York, Paris, Rome: every day there are new premieres, new exhibitions, concerts, performances. There are a lot of restaurants in big cities. The French, for example, say that in Moscow the level of cuisine and service is better than in Paris. I still don’t believe it, but almost all expats from France say this, which is generally incredible for the French to admit defeat on their field))
4) public places? Parks, etc?
Moscow is one of the greenest cities in the world and the greenest metropolis in the world, on a par with London. We have a very developed culture of walking in parks. All cities have gardens, squares, parks with the most modern infrastructure for walking, relaxing with children, and playing sports. Due to the climate, our other public places are not as developed as in Europe. All cultural and social life takes place indoors in winter, but in summer there are many street cafes, summer theaters and lawns where citizens relax.
5) how friendly are people?
Russians, contrary to Hollywood stereotypes, are one of the most hospitable and friendly peoples in the world! Check out expat reviews or footage from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

When you live in Moscow for a long time, you don't notice how cool it is. You only notice it when someone comes to visit from another country and you give them a tour. It is very cool when you look at a familiar city through the eyes of a foreigner!

I'm a Russian who studied and lived in Ireland. I think you should film a pub crawl video around Moscow. Some of the Irish and English pubs are owned and operated by UK & Irish citizens. Most of them are married to Russian wives :D The video content will most probably improve after each pint!

Show people smaller cities as well. Few expat-youtubers do that for some reason. Start around Moscow as most of them will be mainly touristy and nicely renovated/restored (if we speak about attractions and town centers) and going there usually requires not more than a one day trip.
Or be absolutely unhinged and show real Russia. For instance, take a trip from Sovelovsky railway station to Sovelovo itself (takes around 2.5 hours one way) and check out a town called Kimry there. It's literally 150 km from Moscow but quite shocking in comparison.
Oh, and Saint Petersburg for sure. There is never enough content on the most beautiful city in the World. Especially cos' the season of white nights is on its way (would be glad to show you around some non-touristy local sites here)

Ориентируйтесь на веревочный парк Skytown - он справа.
Перейдя через кольцевую дорогу парка, вы окажетесь возле пав. 27 "Физкультура и спорт". Отсюда сквозь листву видна конструкция экотропы! Вы прибыли к месту назначения

I’m someone interested in possibly moving to Russia, I’m an Orthodox Christian and I speak Russian to probably a B1 level. I spent 9 weeks in st Petersburg and visited Moscow last year and loved it despite the hard winter. What’s a good way to get there? I’m guessing teaching English as I don’t really have many in-demand skills

In Moscow, there are at least 6 Catholic churches, about 5 Lutheran churches, about the same number of Protestant churches, and there are also Baptist churches. there are synagogues and mosques and Buddhist temples

Kind of weird question here, but - I’m going to visit Scotland in July for the first time in my life - what would you advise to see first?)
Also, about the topics for your channel - would be interesting to hear your comparison of Scotland (and maybe other countries) and Russia - both pros and cons.
As I see a lot of foreigners start to tell about living in Russia and telling only good things, and I appreciate it of course, but - we all know there are no perfect places, and of course there are things which are better in the West (while a lot of things I like in Russia more).
But I truly lack some fair, objective view in media or CZcams - seems like everybody have to choose he side and say only good things about Russia/the US/Europe or only bad things.
Would be super-refreshing to hear something honest, sincere comparison of countries and cultures.
Also, we, Russians, like to travel to Europe, but rarely live there, so for Russian subscribers would be very interesting to hear about life in Scotland - again, pros, cons, and specificities:)

i wonder how suddenly there started to popping off these new channels where some random people are just walking around moscow and saying how beautiful it is and how all other nations sucks so bad. Maybe just some new way from Russia to do their active measures.
Wish you success with your channel. Would love to visit based Russia. I've never believed Western BS propaganda about Russia, for me i've always admired it as a highly civilised culture. Though admittedly, i know little about day to day life there so excited to watch your channel. Would love to see general content visiting bars, restaurants, parks, football/Ice Hockey games, Russian food etc. All the best.
I would like to ask you in the wintertime when the weather is freezing do people still get out and about or just hole in?...are there heated swimming pools to keep exercise up through winter months? coming from a land where outdoor living is daily and being stuck inside is torture
people get out in winter , moreover many people love winter more than summer, because lots of exciting activities are available in winter. and yes we do have heated swimming pools during winter season

What are you doing there ?
Just as Russians are bombarded with propaganda, we in the U.S. are bombarded with propaganda as well. You asked what we would like to see. I would like to see life outside the big cities where the average people live and survive. Moscow is much like New York City in the fact it is one of Russia's cultural centers and it is expensive by many standards and you can't really judge most Russians by those who live in Moscow any more than you can say New Yorkers are typical of all Americans in the U.S.. I have been married for 27 years to a lady from Rostov-on-Don and my trips to Russia have been wonderful. The average people in most countries are not like their inept governments.

Where is all the street rubbish? it's too clean? how does Moscow keep it so clean.. what is the recycling like...? how do you manage your garbage?...also you say street crime is so low... why do you think that is? also how is the multicultural diversity pressure managed? surely there are clashes between cultures?... Why are you in Russia? Oh and how have sanctions affected you.
No street crimes in Russia. All the crimes in my country are hidden inside the households (like a high level of domestic and child abuse).

I would like the answers to the big question:
How did you pull off what I consider to be a miracle?. You see, I don't believe it is as easy to migrate to another country, not without lots of money £100,000+ and top career prospects!. I mean, surely if you went there on vacation, and met a beautiful Russian lady and married her, that she would expect you to be fiscally sound?.
I would love to move there, but I figure I'd end up kicked out, or perishing in a cardboard box on some street somewhere.
If you find a job here they will sponsor your visa process. Cost of living is quite low here, you do not have to be rich to live in Moscow. But you must have a job

@@gribushkaGriffitha I have never done drugs, nor have a criminal record but, around my own people I am probably considered unpleasant and harmful because I don't see the world through a western lens and, if my opinions were in the public domain in my country, I would probably be expelled from it!.
I am the kind of person who those around me would probably label as "autistic" simply because I don't live in their "bubble". I see things they don't see i.e. geopolitically.
For example, for every westerner that suggests what Russia did in Ukraine was wrong, my response would be, that NATO did exactly the same thing in Yugoslavia!.
Russia's concerns are no different from American concerns........in Cuba back in 1962!.
But because I see this and they don't, I consider myself somewhat of an outsider.
Combine that with all this Satanic rainbow sodomy and perversion, and I've come to the end of my tether.
