- 1991 documentary about the London Fire Brigade. Camera crews filmed at Kingsland road fire station and 2 of the programmes were about the work of the Euston Emergency tender and the Cannon street rail crash. Sorry the quality is not great on some of the video but this is elsewhere on youtube.
I remember this, I was green watch when they filmed this.. good memories
I remember those times brilliant blokes most are dead from cancer..no ba...it was considered soft..plus starting appliance full of smoke from the engines..I served in a company of heroes..best blokes I ever worked with do anything for u
My dad had served 35 years with Hong Kong Fire Service and glioblastama (brain cancer) took him away from us at 64, only 9 years after he retired
Takes me back ..we never wore BA in those days most of the time god knows what fumes we breathed in
Same with my dad, he started in 1975 and retired in 2005.
My grandad used to work on ships coming from West Africa and if they ran out of coal for the steam engines they would throw sacks of peanuts into the furnaces. They burn very well due to their high fat content.
My dad's going to love this 😀
Two-tones need to make a comeback
Mhmm (there is plenty of two tones on #Clonmelemergencyservices they mainly do turn out videos)
Kings land became a faith school!!says everything!!!
Cooling a burn from the stinking water in the tank. Those where the days😅
Do you have parts 2 and 3? Thanks for the videos.
Gary Robinson yes i do have them and will get them on soon
Are episodes 2 and 3 on here?
Where you on one of the watches at Kingsland John?
A LFB firefighter "and we gonna miss london's burning " 😅
Station now closed
Colin Bell yes sadly so along with the other stations that were unnecessarily closed. :(
john linden it’s a sorry sight to see so many stations . So many other things where the budget could be cut.
It’s bad that only extremely large and fatal incident make MPs notice and the the day to day work.
nice job

I think a couple of these firefighters got the sack after this documentary was aired. In what they obviously saw as mere high jinx, in one of the episodes (perhaps this one; I couldn't watch it all because of its poor quality) they were seen having play fights, smashing mugs and generally acting unbefitting of a London firefighter.
YelpBullhorn ignore the troll commenting, he’s been slating the LFB for months for things that aren’t their fault.
Gencturk92 your reply tells me everything I need to know about your level of intelligence, your understanding of firefighting, and your personality. Jog on.
@@Gencturk92 Bouncy castles!!!! You muppet, comment on things you have half an idea of or be quiet.
Yeah it's true most of them were suspended and sacked from the LFB for their bad behaviour and destruction of LFB property and blatant lack of H&S especially when one guy was stabbing the other in the back with the large knife and put then chopping board under his shirt.
There is a toxic culture in the LFB, it's better than it was years ago but it's still full of bigots, racists, misogynists and just general incompetence. Their incompetence consistently gets found out by the public on high profile jobs, grenfell for instance.
Interesting documentary. Though some quite outdated points of view/attitudes displayed by some of the blokes even by 1990's standards.
Carol Harrison. Didnt she take baby to Job Interview.
Knock off make up
