Congrats! After seeing your vid I decided to go exploring in the areas you were in, since I don't play the map much. Ran into a 5* pheasant first, then found a 5* boar. Then later on in the part of the map near your albino, I found a 5* fallow and what a 4* fallow which I hope makes 5*. These are my first 5*'s on this map. Congrats on all the great hunting and keep come with the great content!

I've never played The Way of the Hunter game because I'm addicted to Call of the Wild, but I admit that the panorama of the landscape of this reserve is very pretty and looks quite similar to Call of the Wild. I like the music in the background is when you killed the deer in the river with the crossbow about 20 minutes from the video, what it is the title of the music played?
I wish they told you all that stuff when you start the game lol, I did the same thing taking out a 1 star young deer thinking it was bad, then it turned out it was fking 95%!!! At the time I had no idea what that meant but I think it was literally later that day I learned in a video and was kicking myself for that ever since lol. Still the highest number I ever saw in the game (only been playing a couple weeks though).

I don’t know what they could do to WOTH to make if more immersive. I started with WOTH then Learned about COTW. And the 2 things that have me playing COTW more so than WOTH is the chance of a rare animal or diamond, and the immersion, the ambient sounds just keeps me immersed. Much more so than WOTH. I hope they can do something to make that better
I’ve been playing trying to get perks so I’m ready for the new bow but after I crawled prone for 7 km I got sidetracked and have been discovering every little piece of nez perce,getting rid of all the shadows that cover the map😂😂don’t think I’ll do it for another map but for some reason I decided to do it
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The 350 needs a serious buff. Irl it's essentially a short action equivalent to the 35 Whelen, which is known to rival the 300win mag in terms of power. And looking at some loaf data I'd say a 200gr bullet at 2900fps or a 225gr at just under 2800 should have way more power than it does in game
I have a Remington 600 and no way can you get velocities like that without a long barrel and loading long. I'm running 225s around 2400 from the carbine barrel with a compressed load of powder. Still significantly more power than a .308, and that will drop red deer in COTW? Game ballistics are always wonky af. They try to game-ify it and balance things and it screws everything up.
@randomidiot8142 barrel length for the load data I'm looking at is 20" so yeah little bit longer than a usual carbine barrel. Looking at the Barnes data for it. But I definitely agree game ballistics are weird. Like how the 45-70s in classic are amazing and the 45-70 in cotw is barely better than the 30-30
@@davidhowe7844 Barnes runs a tad hot. I needed 300 rum brass for a project and all of the once fired factory brass I got has very noticeable ejector flow. I don't know what pressure I'm actually at in the 350, but I'm not flowing into the ejector yet. Then again it's not exactly fun to shoot as is and more power comes at a steep price. Games though.. wish they'd come up with a better system for ballistics and not try to gamify everything. Yes, some are going to be clear winners and good all rounders. Let it be. It is what it is. Let us try new options because we want to and not as something to do with level progression where stats have to go up. Hunting unlimited 3 had a mechanic that punished the use of the magnums with really bad sway after the shot, and lighter recoiling guns didn't have that after effect so you could get easier follow ups. That seems practical. I'm more willing to shoot my .308 quickly than my .500 Nitro or .500 Jeffrey.
kind of good thing they didn't make the wild boar with realistic vitals because irl that would be a straight up gutshot. congrats on the 5 stars and I'm curious to see how big that albino stag gets
i shot 2 albino reds with a genetic type of 90% one was a 5 star and i missed up and shit the other at a mature 2 star back when i didn’t know the game as much
If I’m understanding you correctly, all deer are the same way. But really they have antlers in velvet at 1 year old, and then shed that velvet at about 1.5 years old. Is that what you’re saying or are red deer different?
Yes that's correct, I'm thinking that the devs just rounded it up a year for some reason, not sure why it seems to only be red deer, because as you said they can get antlers in their first year.

I got an albino stag too and was 1 star mature during one of my hunts from this week on the Romanian map.
