That's taking things too literally. "Don't be worshiping graven images." applies directly to you not worshiping graven images. You could theoretically write a story about a man who does worship graven images...or read about one without breaking the commandment. You could argue that playing a game is somewhere between reading and writing a story. In any case, I'd say that it's in the very least, a gray area, especially if you weren't RP-ing as yourself. God might still get theoretically pissed at you for making a character that looks like you and proxy worshiping graven images through them, but otherwise it's fine. In any case, I'm as christian as they get, but I really don't think the ten commandments are some ultimate "get out of Hell free" card. There's a lot more in that book about being moral than a ten point list. In fact, if you do need the ten commandments, you are already a pretty crummy person. I, for one, don't need to be told not to steal or kill or fxxk the neighbor's wife. She ugly anyway.

The "immodesty" patch simply reverses this. That's right, a mod for Skyrim that actually REMOVES nudity (Of course the male versions aren't touched...) The modesty feature also tends to conflict with other mods and make every female NPC look like a burn victim.

If you want to know the "lore" behind this, the three sons of Anak (Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai) were giants who lived in the land of Canaan. Moses sent twelve spies (including Caleb) into the land to scout things out, and eventually drove them out. I'm not sure why Goliath is in here though. He's probably related to Anak, but he wasn't around at the time when the spies were doing their reconnaissance (or at least not mentioned). No idea what the chimaera cubs are about. The inclusion of Damascus steel is also pretty funny, since it has absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. It was a type of steel forged from Wootz ingots that originated in India. Eventually the technology spread to Damascus through trade and the city formed an industry around producing weapons. It gained a legendary reputation when Europeans discovered it, because at the time their metallurgy wasn't as good.
Even though it's kinda overindulged in a weird way, it's kinda cool how the mod has some lesser known backstory as the main attraction with the Giants and such.

Especially considering many christians today dont believe in the ancient creatures and myths that were once a part of the religion. And yeah there really is a lot of unexplored stories and options for Christian mythology. It's not explored very often and when it is, you usually couldn't tell it has any connection to Christianity. It would be fun to see stories about the leviathan or the really weird angels. Part of the problem is that a lot of the mythology that isn't angels comes from other religions. Demons were just an adaptation of other gods and spirits from other religions. The word was daemon, Greek for "spirit" and didn't mean good or evil. Just a spirit. Angels or, Angelos (άγγελος) in Greek is a masculine term and they reproduced with human women to make the nephilim. From what I remember back in my modding days, most mods can easily be ported to Special Edition by simply opening the mod in the Skyrim Construction Kit for SE, then saving the mod. By opening and saving the mod in the SE construction kit, it converts it to be used in Skyrim Special Edition. I believe this method worked for like 90% of most mods. A few larger mods would have some troubles with this method. iirc.
One of my favourite Mod combinations is still the Crusaders Knights - Medieval Armors Mod and Conquest of Skyrim CKMA already adds 3 Knightly Order Churches in, but sometimes you just wanna conquer Skyrim for the Teutonic Order They have lore-friendly options too though, with the Order of Akatosh and the Knights of the Nine, so any Holy Order takeover of Skyrim is possible there.

Bro, The Tombs of Anak was a book by Frank Peretti as third in a series of four known as The Cooper Kids Adventures. Fantastic books and I would recommend them all. The Door in the Dragon's Throat, Escape from the Island of Aquarius, The Tombs of Anak, and Trapped at the Bottom of the Sea.

The Children of Anak were a reference to the giants in the Promised Land in the Old Testament, whom some theorize were related to Giants before Noah's flood (Nephilim). There was a funny meme about how Jesus would be a dragon born. Him talking with the scribes and pharisees was speechcraft, healing the sick was restoration, raising Lazarus from the dead was conjuration, his transfiguration was destruction, and him chasing people out of the temple with a whip was 1 handed. Oh yeah, changing water to wine was alteration. I read a book about the Nephilim, called Genesis 6 giants. It talked about allusions to the Nephilim in the Bible, in books deleted from the Bible, but also parallels in other mythology as well. The 2 that stuck out to me were the 7 foot Egyptian that had extra digits on his hand and the other alluded to "Lion like men." This could mean they were hairy, fierce, or brave....buuuuut if it means fighting a giant, middle eastern sabre tooth looking character, well that spices things up. I think there were bible verses about some Nephilim getting hit by hornets. If you read the book of Enoch, it goes into detail about how the ghosts of the giants would become a problem after they died, being forever hungry and at odds with women.
Honestly this makes me want a half-lore accurate half-Christian lore mod where god wages a war against the Mannish races because human races (minus Redguards/Yokudans) are descended from an ancient race of giants from Atmora (note this is one theory and there is some evidence to suggest that humans may have originated from Tamriel, some colonized Atmora, and then came back). In the Bible, some Angels (“Watchers” I think) were tasked with keeping track of humanity. Some of them fell in love with humans and had children, which is a sin because angels aren’t supposed to love humans romantically, and those children were giants. Those kids were ultra powerful and also sinned a bunch. I can see a cool story here, where Jesus declares war on all humans and the modern era giants because their ancestors were half-Angel half-human beasts.
I mean if you want a real insane journey, I'd recommend playing through Morrowland: From Heaven to Hell. It takes a bit to get it working but I can personally attest to its sheer... well, it's unique to say the least.

my guess as to how this mod works, sight unseen, is that it disables all of the Divine's buffs, and spells(except maybe some healing ones), and adds a new shrine in the form of the christian cross, which confers both the only buff(and only easy and free way to be rid of diseases) but probably an overpowered buff too

Though I've said before you can always make the argument about it being a metaphor, which in some circumstances is actually fairly likely. I don't remember where but I heard someone speculate that the many eyed wheels were a metaphor for God being able to see everything everywhere. I don't know how truthful that might be but it seems plausible. My personal opinion is that many of the angels are likely hallucinations. Their descriptions are not that far off from descriptions of the effects of psychedelics. And you don't need actual drugs for that to happen. Moldy bread, heat stroke, dehydration, and fever could potentially cause serious hallucinations. It's not unthinkable that whoever wrote that just had a particularly weird dream or was hallucinating

If you want to know the "lore" behind this, the three sons of Anak (Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai) were giants who lived in the land of Canaan. Moses sent twelve spies (including Caleb) into the land to scout things out, and eventually drove them out. I'm not sure why Goliath is in here though. He's probably related to Anak, but he wasn't around at the time when the spies were doing their reconnaissance (or at least not mentioned). No idea what the chimaera cubs are about.
The inclusion of Damascus steel is also pretty funny, since it has absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. It was a type of steel forged from Wootz ingots that originated in India. Eventually the technology spread to Damascus through trade and the city formed an industry around producing weapons. It gained a legendary reputation when Europeans discovered it, because at the time their metallurgy wasn't as good.
Damascus -> Crusades -> Bible, would be my guess as to the steel's inclusion. Thanks for the lore explanation!

Especially considering many christians today dont believe in the ancient creatures and myths that were once a part of the religion. And yeah there really is a lot of unexplored stories and options for Christian mythology. It's not explored very often and when it is, you usually couldn't tell it has any connection to Christianity. It would be fun to see stories about the leviathan or the really weird angels. Part of the problem is that a lot of the mythology that isn't angels comes from other religions. Demons were just an adaptation of other gods and spirits from other religions. The word was daemon, Greek for "spirit" and didn't mean good or evil. Just a spirit. Sucks too cause they changed other religions and myths in the process

My guess is that you were supposed to equip the blessed armor to defeat Anak. It probably has ridiculous defense or defense that provides immunity against anak. The horse was also probably intended to provide immunity as well.

Angels or, Angelos (άγγελος) in Greek is a masculine term and they reproduced with human women to make the nephilim. It doesn't really exclude them from the possibility of taking a woman's form for a task though even if it's not mentioned. However they don't really have a gender in the way humans experience gender and they can't reproduce with one another and aren't human.

From what I remember back in my modding days, most mods can easily be ported to Special Edition by simply opening the mod in the Skyrim Construction Kit for SE, then saving the mod. By opening and saving the mod in the SE construction kit, it converts it to be used in Skyrim Special Edition. I believe this method worked for like 90% of most mods. A few larger mods would have some troubles with this method. iirc.

One of my favourite Mod combinations is still the Crusaders Knights - Medieval Armors Mod and Conquest of Skyrim
CKMA already adds 3 Knightly Order Churches in, but sometimes you just wanna conquer Skyrim for the Teutonic Order
They have lore-friendly options too though, with the Order of Akatosh and the Knights of the Nine, so any Holy Order takeover of Skyrim is possible there.

The Children of Anak were a reference to the giants in the Promised Land in the Old Testament, whom some theorize were related to Giants before Noah's flood (Nephilim).
There was a funny meme about how Jesus would be a dragon born. Him talking with the scribes and pharisees was speechcraft, healing the sick was restoration, raising Lazarus from the dead was conjuration, his transfiguration was destruction, and him chasing people out of the temple with a whip was 1 handed. Oh yeah, changing water to wine was alteration.
I read a book about the Nephilim, called Genesis 6 giants. It talked about allusions to the Nephilim in the Bible, in books deleted from the Bible, but also parallels in other mythology as well. The 2 that stuck out to me were the 7 foot Egyptian that had extra digits on his hand and the other alluded to "Lion like men." This could mean they were hairy, fierce, or brave....buuuuut if it means fighting a giant, middle eastern sabre tooth looking character, well that spices things up.
I think there were bible verses about some Nephilim getting hit by hornets. If you read the book of Enoch, it goes into detail about how the ghosts of the giants would become a problem after they died, being forever hungry and at odds with women.
Honestly this makes me want a half-lore accurate half-Christian lore mod where god wages a war against the Mannish races because human races (minus Redguards/Yokudans) are descended from an ancient race of giants from Atmora (note this is one theory and there is some evidence to suggest that humans may have originated from Tamriel, some colonized Atmora, and then came back). In the Bible, some Angels (“Watchers” I think) were tasked with keeping track of humanity. Some of them fell in love with humans and had children, which is a sin because angels aren’t supposed to love humans romantically, and those children were giants. Those kids were ultra powerful and also sinned a bunch.
I can see a cool story here, where Jesus declares war on all humans and the modern era giants because their ancestors were half-Angel half-human beasts.

I mean if you want a real insane journey, I'd recommend playing through Morrowland: From Heaven to Hell. It takes a bit to get it working but I can personally attest to its sheer... well, it's unique to say the least.
The mannequin brings me back to the part of the soul cairn where one is just lurking around as a minor scare/potential reference to the glitch of them moving around in houses.
my guess as to how this mod works, sight unseen, is that it disables all of the Divine's buffs, and spells(except maybe some healing ones), and adds a new shrine in the form of the christian cross, which confers both the only buff(and only easy and free way to be rid of diseases) but probably an overpowered buff too
