Comic fact: in the comics Dale was still alive and he was the one who was being eaten by the cannibals but Bob did a good job recreating the lines in the comics.
I Love Savage Rick in his murder jacket lol (The name TWD fans gave to the coat Rick wears that he stole off the Claimer guy that he strangled to death in the bathroom)
I love you guys have a strong moral compass when it comes to the decisions they make in the show. I get emotional watching this show cause it is really sad.I love this show cause they connect you to the survivors from Atlanta regardless of the choices they make cause we started with them. Imagine we didn’t know them and they would be the villains to us cause that’s what it takes to survive in their world.
Comic Comparisons: As I said before in the comics it’s Dale whose leg gets chomped by the cannibals It’s worse for Dale because his other leg had already been lost (where Hershel gets his leg amputated after being bitten in the show happens to Dale in the comics) So now he’s missing both his legs The rest happens the same Dale reveals he was bitten and screams tainted meat just like Bob. However the scene where the group takes their revenge goes differently in the comics They don’t lure them to the church and ambush them there (they do stay in Father Gabriel’s church) But the killing doesn’t happen there However Rick does say the line they’re fucking with the wrong people instead the group actually tracks them down in the woods and meets them It’s there when they kill them in the same fashion as the show brutally and as bloody as possible.
Remember at the trough in terminus, Rick was explaining what was in the bag and he said a red handled machete- “that’s what I’m going to use to kill you”… that was why in the church he said “I already made you a promise” and then used the red handle machete…
Remember what I said back in Season 2 Dale was originally suppose to survive until this episode he was originally going to die here but sadly we all know what happened behind the scenes that led Dale to die early on in the show Bob took his place which I thought was very well done Bob was a cool guy and good member to the group I sure wish Dale survived until this episode because personally I thought it woulda been better if Dale got his comic death on the show to this day I still love and miss Dale.
Right.... But The Reason Dale Left In S2 Is Due To The Fact His Best Friend (A Producer) I Think Was Fired After S2 Was Written & Half-Way Through The Show. I Know Hershel Left Due To His (Cancer) I Believe He Had Was Getting Worse & He Wanted To Spend That Last Bit Of Time With His Family, Up Until He Passed Away In 2018 😢
Rick is adapting to this mad world... He has changed in order to continue to keep all his family safe from the monsters dead And alive... Changing and adapting with the Conditions of the situtations that are forced upon them is how they Survive... Rick and the group are doing great at adapting to the conditions of this mad world Without becoming monsters themselves,they stay true to who they are in keeping their Humanity but still fighting and killing the Evil among them in order so that the evil do Not kill other innocent people that they may come across... These things I mention in my opinion is why and how this show is so Awesome... TWD Series shows us that it is possible to keep your Humanity as Dale mentioned in season 2 but adapting to the conditions around you to Survive... Doing the Right Thing is very hard to do everyday,it's a choice in being human or choosing the easy path to be selfish in becoming monsters as the terminus people... Being selfish and evil is Easy to do everyday.... Rick & the Group are Heroes 👍😎
Daryl and Maggie speak briefly about Beth in 5x1 at the opening of the show while they are in the train car just before the termites come for them. He is telling her she got taken but was alive when he saw her last.

This season is amazing but what always bugged me is how unconcerned Maggie is of Beth. Seems like a huge oversight of the writers.
