Exactly....love is love no matter the gender, we are all clumsy, tense, excited when we feel something for someone, straight or gay, there is no difference, so kiss whoever you like (of course in mutual respect) and fall in love with person, not of that person's gender ...

Our team didn't expect this short film to be loved so much. Thank you for liking this work a lot.
I am a writer and team member who provided this script.
This story is based on what actually happened to me as a teenager.
We tried to proceed with the same script and filming composition, but we recognized that it could change little by little as the three couples practiced.
So we thought about ways to maximize the emotional line that actors wanted to express. The three directors recognized that the work was an omnibus, and we were able to bring it together with a lot of consideration for each other.
In plays and musicals, it is common for several people to play the main character. However, in the case of movies, this is not common, so I made a new attempt.
In this work, the kiss scenes of the three couples are slightly different. In the end, this work is an omnibus work, so although it is the same script, I tried to express the process of gradually developing the flow in the work through that part.
So what we wanted to say was,
All love is made by meeting people regardless of gender. So the name of the main character in this work is ambiguous in gender.
Various interpretations and appreciation of this work made us so happy.
This much interest and love will be a force for us to enjoy our work in the future. Thank you so much.

This is a really cool concept and I love this execution! Smart of you to release these separately and together. The three different couples performing the same lines and having them play out slightly differently was really fun to watch. I particularly loved that the three kisses were so different!

I love how this trio of short movies makes a point by exploring how we react (or don't react) differently to the three scenarios. I'm thinking that these couples are friends at school or maybe childhood friends that were mutually interested in each other but never acted on it (but certainly thought about it many times), until this moment while waiting for the rain to stop. The small variances in the script and how they are filmed makes watching all three of them interesting. I'm slightly partial to the final guys, because of how well they created an atmosphere of nervous feelings and sexual curiosity, with a lot of attention to details, like how they looked at each other sheepishly afterwards and laughed cutely at how nervous they both were.
low key the girls version is the happiest? like this kiss is so soft in a "hold on" and then they are getting closer for another kiss?!?!!? the hand holding???? i am in love thanks. but admittedly the best acting is in the last version, those microexpressions! the little gestures! the shifty eyes!! i loved it. i wish for the het one they wouldve kept the dynamic of the girl getting shy last minute in a more expressive way.

여여페어는 뭔가 다른 두 페어보다 거리감이 있는 느낌이라 더 오묘하네요 ㅋㅋ 뭔가.. 동아리 친구 정도? 둘이 있으면 살짝 어색한 관계같은 느낌? 진짜 간보는 느낌이라 재미있네요. 남여페어는 친한 친구가 반장난 반진담으로 했다가 연인되는 느낌인데 여성배우님이 너무 매력적이에요 이미 상대 마음을 알고있다는 듯한 웃음이 😍😍 남남페어는 짝사랑이다가 한번 고해서 진전하는 느낌이에요 ㅋㅋ 남남페어에서 짝사랑이라고 생각하고 보니까 흐름에 따라 관계 주도권이 넘어가는게 재미있네요.

Rainbow crowd here. I agree. It was nice to see the girl flex and the boy be shy and not stereotypical like Kdrama with the overly strong girl type/dorky boy type. I think the balance was very nature and lovely, especially when he just blurted out "Kiss!" On the same note, I wish girls in gl were allowed to act more aggressive on screen like bl. I mean, I've kissed girls and many of them are WAY more aggressive than what we see on TV. Patriarchy crap- women in love cant possibly be sexual or aggressive passionately bc we are all delicate flowers, even to our own female lovers.🙄🤦 But the les couple was super sweet. I just wish we could have some straight up hot girl kissing. 😭😂

Very interesting acting exercise. Kudos to all involved. I viewed the individual posts first and therefore ended up watching them in reverse order from how they are presented here (so re-watched in this order prior to completing this comment). I'm reacting to this on several levels: from that of a viewer seeking entertainment, that of a long-time RomCom fan and relatively new BL fan enjoying the chance for comparison-contrast, and that of a writer who always wondered how she'd feel about writing scripts (i.e. losing control over my dialog).
As a viewer, I was definitely entertained by each version. As can be seen in other comments here, the large (and growing) BL audience has lost interest in "mainstream" romantic stories and so can be harsh critics of scenes involving such hetero coupling. I may be a victim of this influence. After careful consideration, I have to say that both the GL and BL versions felt more authentic than the hetero version presented here - perhaps because hetero "meet cute" scenes have become too common of an experience (?).
Out of the three versions, the actors (and any bts team members involved in the artistic choices made) in the BL version managed to create more dynamic tension (tense, release, tense, release, 180 tense, release...) leading to a more satisfying climax. This was a product not only of the actor's chemistry but the use of nonverbals involved. Also, though the change of pursuer was a theme used in each version, the complete 180 in attitude of the original pursuer in the BL version when he became the pursued was absolute enough to make me pay even closer attention. As someone else commented, he appeared to be a flirt who could "dish it out but not take it." The pursued, for his part, seemed much more comfortable after he became the pursuer. In the end I had more of a feel for the relationship these two may have had before this moment in time and how it would be after (as compared to the other two couples). The simple nonverbal of jostling each other on the steps while talking about the weather showed friends checking in to see if their relationship was still steady. The smiles/laughter after the kiss expressed relief that they had manged to affect a change in their relationship without damaging/losing it.
In a similar vein, in the GL version, the final smile of the pursuer/pursued seemed victorious enough to make me question the character's show of shyness before the kiss since she eventually got what she'd been after.
Though as a writer I can be very protective of the exact wording I use, especially in dialog, I think now that would be more in the case of writing that is meant to be read. Watching this exercise makes me think I would prefer that my written dialog be tweaked or even thrown out as long as the essence of the scene I envisioned while writing managed to come to life. I'm wondering if there was a different director, cameraman, and/or editor for each version as well as different actors. In other words, what are the behind-the-scene differences besides the choices made by the actors themselves? I'd love to see the directions/scene notes provided to each couple, and even an actual bts "making of" video showing the choices being made.
Again, kudos to everyone involved and please keep up the good work and keep sharing!
I get a little scared that anyone in my life will somehow see if I comment on something BL-related, even though they don't have access to my account (I'm paranoid), but I have to make an exception here.
Your comment really made me think. Especially considering I wrote two scripts back in High School that meant a lot to me (still do). They are still some of the best works I've ever created, and I worry I will never top it, but that is besides the point.
I've thought also about how I would feel if actors changed parts of the dialogue I had written, and it concerned me as well. Your comment really makes me rethink that. If they keep the spirit of my work in mind, what I want to get across should show well enough.

@@chasingclouds9176 I understand completely, from the paranoia to the pride of accomplishment to the concern over future accomplishments. Writing is often a solitary experience and we expect it to also be experienced in solitary by the reader. Participation in theater is much more of a collaborative effort and requires trusting others with your "baby." (Or you can take the coward's way out like I've done and give your script away, having nothing more to do with the process or ever seeing the final product. sigh.) Ah well, I can still dream of having the courage someday - once the pandemic is over.
Meanwhile, I consider binge-watching Asian dramas to be a good use of downtime during the pandemic. It's research. I'm learning a lot not just about how dramas/romances differ due to being set in a different culture but also how the storytelling itself has been shaped throughout the history of that culture. Furthermore, BL/GL provides an excellent opportunity to study relationships between characters not confined to the mainstream "battle of the sexes" portrayals we see too often. So tell that to your paranoia (or the causes of it) and remember that "love is love" and storytelling is storytelling. There is something to be learned from any and all of it, as a writer and as a fellow human being. ( :

This is a really interesting exercise. The boys, both in the straight pairing and in the gay pairing, interpreted their lines quite a bit more aggressively than the lesbian pairing or the female in the straight pairing. I liked this a lot. It kind of solidified my reasons for my love of BL and yaoi. I get all of the fluffy and romance with absolutely no threat to me as a woman. I can't imagine myself in any of the situations presented in gay cinema, so it doesn't feel dangerous in any way. This is a really nice short.
