- A heartfelt scene between Jim and Dot as Jim returns home for the first time since his stroke and John Bardon's real-life stroke. There's a scarcity of Jim post-stroke scenes on YT so I thought I'd upload this. Thanks to BoB.

I loved Jim so much. Such a wonderful man. God rest his soul, John Bardon.
He was a racist alcoholic bully his CHARACTER deserved everything that happened to him but rip to the actor who played him
@@hueyfreeman1983 he changed into a better man
@@rick182z yeah I liked him when he changed
John Barton was such a good actor. In spite of his illness, he nailed it whenever he was on EE.
Heart breaking. John was in good health before his stroke. Life can be so utterly cruel.
He wasn't acting here: his stroke really did make him that way
Yep he had suffered two by this point that is why he left the Soap for a bit in 2007
@@Stephen_Reid I know he had several strokes in real life but after the first stroke was he acting in 2009-2011 or did his stroke really make him this way ? I meant the first stroke, not the second and third
@@ronki23 it really made him like that unfortunately
@@Stephen_Reid so he had a 3rd stroke by the time he left Eastenders? Because he died offscreen long after his actual death
@@Stephen_Reid the strength of that man acting
Good old Jim legend
What a legend!

Wow, Jim's return got a doof doof (or is it spelt duff duff)? Cool.
Yeah well he was a much-loved character and without a doubt deserved one.
@@DoctorVision Oh yes, absolutely. Jim used to be my favourite character in EastEnders. I don't care if he gave Max a hard time as a child and used to be a racist (like when he was opposed to Carol marrying Alan). He became a much more loving character when he got together with Dot and less racist when he became friends with Patrick. I loved the humorous friendship between Jim and Patrick. After John Bardon passed away and Jim therefore had to be written out, I showed less interest in EastEnders.
What I think is, when Jim came back into it after his stroke, the tearful moments he used to have were mostly John Bardon's own. Like when he first came home and saw Dot and was kissing her and everything - yes he's acting, but I always felt that to be really authentic - like he was really happy to be back at EastEnders from where he was taken away prematurely and because he couldn't speak properly, he expressed his delight through tears of happiness.
@@DoctorVision It certainly has a nice touch.
Please do you have August 21st 2009?
I'll have a look but I won't be uploading too much, bear in mind.
