It's not Army-specific. My roommate in Hospital Corps School for the USN was a dirtbag of the highest order.
He would sleep in EVERY SINGLE morning we had class. He somehow avoided any watches whenever it was our duty section day and never showed up for sweepers either. He was the kid who would buy the stereo/laptop/console game/etc from folks who had graduated, knowing he wouldn't be able to take it to his first duty station. He had so much shit in our barracks room! Lol
He literally filled up his phone memory (this was in 06) by taking selfies in front of the mirror, and they he couldn't understand why I wouldn't lend him my phone, so he could take a selfie with it and send it to some rando girl. And finally, speaking of rando girls, he got some shipmate pregnant and literally told her on the phone (I was in the room during this conversation), "Nah, it ain't mine. I don't know why you're telling me this. I'm not going to help you at all.".

I wish I had your faith in humanity, but I had one of these kids. The frustrating part was the unit refused to chapter him for failure to adapt when I called his behavioral issues from the get-go, then stopped me from applying actually effective corrective measures as a specialist and as his sergeant, and _then,_ after I had him _almost_ beaten into a shape somewhat resembling a worthwhile human being if you didn't look too closely through over a year of close and careful work, decided to fuck with him on the regular so as to perpetuate his post-deployment death-spiral, thereby terminating what could have been a mediocre career and dragging down several potentially stellar careers with him because those goddamned fuckwitted fobbits just fucking couldn't not be trash.

I bet that basic training company that caught him got pizza, when I was in basic another trainee from the barracks next to us decided to break into our barracks one night and of course was seen right away and DS was alerted and all we knew is the DS told us to "GET HIM" so we got him but somehow he ended up with bruises it must have been when he got tackled but all I know is that Sunday we got pizza in basic training.

Can we make this go viral and alert JAG about this. This guy needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Basic Trainees and Drills have enough to worry about... He compromised the security of a US Army post, lied to a NCO, and then fled. This guy needs to do hard time.

I am former Army and I now do criminal defense work so I want to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. However, his continuing attitude and actions are inexcusable. He needs to be made an example of by JAG. AC please use your contacts to alert the appropriate members of JAG about this clown.

@@Strutinan I had the pleasure of escorting about 30 privates getting kicked out. With two article 15's under his belt, that's enough to get an "other than honorable" discharge - the worst that can happen without a court martial. Running from the cops like that is likely a court martial headed his way where he'll serve prison time and get a dishonorable. Pretty nutty
