Grondeuse à Wilfred - Devon's Tune of the Day 051

  • Here's a much loved tune from yesterday's source, Vermont Franco-American fiddler Wilfred Guillette. His "Grondeuse à Wilfred" has been recorded a lot because it's just so weird. He really hangs on the notes for an unusual length of time. He tunes his fiddle to the "grondeuse" tuning of ADAE, so I do that too here. Gotta do the foot percussion, or podorythmie too, that's necessary. This tune is a favorite in my family for sure, and I hope you'll like it too!
