Lovely to see the two of you together at the Leitz cafe!
😉
@@andreampacella 🙋🏼😊
I just bought M11 after years of dreaming. It is my first Rangefinder camera.
How beautiful is it!!!
Awesome :) It's very thoughtful to have a internal memory , it eliminates the requirement of two SD cards in a small body :) Wondering if that 64GB internal memory is also shared as a buffer memory (RAM) ? It will be nice to hear from MR. Peter Karbe about the Incident angle of the new BSI 61 MP sensors in using the old Leica lenses :) New EVF is really exciting :) Lovely Leica M11 :) Wish , they reduce the base ISO in the monochrome cameras as well :)
My man are you gonna drink that coffee or not? That dude looks like he makes a badass cup.
Can’t wait to add the M11(-P) to my camera bag! What a wonderful day for Leica! 🙏🏻
Another wonderful Leica M camera 👍🏼
One thing I (and I am sure a number of others would love and it has been talked about in various sites) is a native M Mount camera with an EVF.
Even if it was released with an older 24MP full frame sensor, that would be a great introduction to many for the M ecosystem whilst keeping production costs down without the rangefinder. This could be a great slighting smaller body and not poach off the main M line due to its specs. It would be a great secondary “M” for current owners
Wonderful, honest and to the point interview. Andreas insight into the Leica philosophy is quite deep!
Yes, deep is his philosophy, no doubt. Profit will the world from his insight!
@@stanb.5261 So so True! I agree 100%
@@ronitsingh85 I was being sarcastic- the main "philosophy' of Leica these days is greed and materialism.
@@stanb.5261 I know, i was being sarcastic there as well (sorry). Yeah I can see my initial statement seem may seem cocky. I was just saying that Andreas is right about what the camera represents, basically like driving a vintage or classic car that demands a lot from you for it to drive right. thats what Leica is for me, quality is second to non, great lenses. Price, not so much which we all agree on. But Leica will do what they want, right, I can complain all I want but I have to respect their prices and their products. At the end of it, i am not the owner of Leica. If one can afford or decide to buy their M system, thats their choice, I made that choice, and yes its a lot of $$, one time buy and I will keep it as long as I can. Lenses will stay with me forever. I use my camera and haven't gotten it to show off or anything. I got into photography with a rangefinder - minolta 7 and slowly worked my way to SLRs and I was hooked to manual lenses. DLSRs. I knew what Leica was and stayed well away because of their high prices. With age I appreciated mirrorless bodies more and got away from DSLRs altogether very quickly. If my work depended on photography, i would use a DSLR, period. My hobby/casual use dictates otherwise. The only body that was perfect for me was Leica's M. Thats when i bought one.
This was very nicely lit. It's a nice image, too.
You’d think for what Leica charges for their cameras they could’ve afforded to hire a sound engineer to mic the speakers
I see a mic on them but my guess is somebody didn't do their job properly 🤔
U just priced me out 11k a little steep
Still love my mp240 & mm246
What a great camera! improved details and a still a "real" M
The various resolution on the sensor and the lower ISO for shooting wide open without ND filter is very interesting update
I wish I could afford one. I know for me as a photographer, the Leica M is my next level of progression...one day :)
Dachte immer, Leica wäre eine deutsche Firma und stolz auf Made in Germany. Of course, I realise that the company has to be globally positioned and the markets are overseas, especially Asia. Nevertheless, it would also be a sign of pride to hold the first meeting in the native language of Wetzlar.
A Leica M is my dream camera. For now I'll be happy to keep shooting with my Q2.
Stefan and Andrea can you tell us something about a new CL? . Thank you very much¡.
I sadly cant afford to buy one but I am still using my M9 with the well respected CCD sensor that I love and gets more use than any other camera in my collection, still a lot of M9 users out there, mine is very brassy being a black one love it.
Would love to see a return of the R-system, please!
Curious, as I’ve heard this sensor is the same as in the Sigma FP-L. Is this true?
I just sold a photo today for 0.01c on 500px at this rate I see myself getting the M11 soon. Does anyone know when the M11-P will be available?
Is the new EVF only recommend for wide lens such as 21mm? I heard you don’t need it for 35 / 50mm lens
This is Awesome!
Ordered 😁
They didn’t like the coffee. Didn’t touch it
So if you shoot it in 36mp or 18mp mode, does the sensor be one more light sensitive? I know your image size goes down but because of the pixel size, the sensitivity should remain same across 60, 36 and 18 mp
This is also my question to ask. How is it related to the auto-ISO set up? Is this a functional control pending on the lenses mounted?
@@wilfredshum3703 Watch reddot forum here on youtube about the M11, they explain that pixels combine accordingly - pixel binning and say its quite a complex thing to execute. That said, it produces cleaner (less noise) then at 60MP. I don't know if the noise is artificially reduced. As long as it looks natural, its ok in my books.
@@ronitsingh85 Thanks. I think this option is helpful when shooting under low lighting conditions with a slow lens mounted on a M without stabilizing features.
the extra battery capacity is so much improved that reminds me of my m240 days... glorifying
I would go as far as saying the MP typ 240 is better than the M11.
@@robiulahmed you mean the battery?
@@riswanc I mean as a luxury product. It has a sapphire crystal LCD screen (as opposed to gorilla glass), a brass body (you can only get brass on the silver chrome m11), and the removable bottom plate.
The new camera may be technically better, but the MP typ 240 is a better Leica.
@@robiulahmed as a matter of facts, i cant agree more with you on this, and a very unique sensor not shared by others allegedly
🤯 61 mp 🔥🔥
The removable bottom plate is a much cleaner design. Now, there’s a seem, a lever and a cheap sticker.
interesting. I wish I could afford one-one day.
I want an M4-2 to be my first, too!
I like the improvements - but after four years of development I would have expected a lot more than this.
A very desirable M indeed. However, I'll keep my M262 for years because : 1- I don't have the money to buy a brand new M11. 2- I really enjoy making pictures with my relaxing and generous camera. 3- Basically, I won't be a better photographer and my pictures won't be better with a M11 than with my M262. That said, when my current camera will be out of order, I'll certainly buy an M11 : in 10 years it'll be cheaper ! BUT, if I may, for the price, the EVF could have been in the box.
5:23 When they start to talk about The M11
Surely only the 50APO and 35APO can be ONLY close to 60MP the rest are no way near so you have to wait and change all other focal lenghts if you go to this insane MP count.
No baseplate, no pants.
😂
This is all soooo very German.
Need more exciting speakers
I bought my M10R a couple of week ago. Thank you very much! That´s how you frustrate customers and lose them
You also own the last Leica M with a bottom plate - original design ! :)
I still use a Leica M8. Your M10R is no worse a camera today than when you purchased it.
It won’t be available for another year anyway
There's no reason to be upset here.
There were enoguh rumors about the new camera. Sorry, if you don't know that you did not really deal with Leica.
I hate to be one of those guys but Leica really missed the beat here not incorporating IBS to this camera
Too bad whoever filmed this didn’t bother to monitor with headphones that all microphones were rolling. Rookie mistake
I received email from Leica earlier about this event with a link. Today I clicked the link and the website said "you do not have permission to view this page!". How poorly can you actually treat your customers? How low can you go? M11 is also a big disappointment! It looks like innovation ended with M10-R and now you are using components of your competitors, not making your own. M10-R and M10M were probably the last great Leica M cameras.
Leica M11 is actually a Sony: artificial color rendition! Faint B&W! Backlighting a 3-part sensor with a fitting blue-shift failed! What a pity! The last Leica M. Leica Image look sold to Sony… What a pity!
Fortunately, I own a M8.2 ccd, M246 monochrome & M10-P (24 mega-pixels).
Absolutely terrible sound, what a failure on Leica's end.
Yeah someone forgot to check with headphones. Nightmare
Sorry but tis video is a poor communication tool. 3.5 minutes into it and its lots of waffle and no substance. Ought to respect your viewers time.
