    Awesome :) It's very thoughtful to have a internal memory , it eliminates the requirement of two SD cards in a small body :) Wondering if that 64GB internal memory is also shared as a buffer memory (RAM) ? It will be nice to hear from MR. Peter Karbe about the Incident angle of the new BSI 61 MP sensors in using the old Leica lenses :) New EVF is really exciting :) Lovely Leica M11 :) Wish , they reduce the base ISO in the monochrome cameras as well :)

    One thing I (and I am sure a number of others would love and it has been talked about in various sites) is a native M Mount camera with an EVF.
    Even if it was released with an older 24MP full frame sensor, that would be a great introduction to many for the M ecosystem whilst keeping production costs down without the rangefinder. This could be a great slighting smaller body and not poach off the main M line due to its specs. It would be a great secondary “M” for current owners

    • @ronitsingh85
      @ronitsingh85 Před 2 lety

      @@stanb.5261 I know, i was being sarcastic there as well (sorry). Yeah I can see my initial statement seem may seem cocky. I was just saying that Andreas is right about what the camera represents, basically like driving a vintage or classic car that demands a lot from you for it to drive right. thats what Leica is for me, quality is second to non, great lenses. Price, not so much which we all agree on. But Leica will do what they want, right, I can complain all I want but I have to respect their prices and their products. At the end of it, i am not the owner of Leica. If one can afford or decide to buy their M system, thats their choice, I made that choice, and yes its a lot of $$, one time buy and I will keep it as long as I can. Lenses will stay with me forever. I use my camera and haven't gotten it to show off or anything. I got into photography with a rangefinder - minolta 7 and slowly worked my way to SLRs and I was hooked to manual lenses. DLSRs. I knew what Leica was and stayed well away because of their high prices. With age I appreciated mirrorless bodies more and got away from DSLRs altogether very quickly. If my work depended on photography, i would use a DSLR, period. My hobby/casual use dictates otherwise. The only body that was perfect for me was Leica's M. Thats when i bought one.

    So if you shoot it in 36mp or 18mp mode, does the sensor be one more light sensitive? I know your image size goes down but because of the pixel size, the sensitivity should remain same across 60, 36 and 18 mp

      @ronitsingh85 Před 2 lety

      @@wilfredshum3703 Watch reddot forum here on youtube about the M11, they explain that pixels combine accordingly - pixel binning and say its quite a complex thing to execute. That said, it produces cleaner (less noise) then at 60MP. I don't know if the noise is artificially reduced. As long as it looks natural, its ok in my books.

    A very desirable M indeed. However, I'll keep my M262 for years because : 1- I don't have the money to buy a brand new M11. 2- I really enjoy making pictures with my relaxing and generous camera. 3- Basically, I won't be a better photographer and my pictures won't be better with a M11 than with my M262. That said, when my current camera will be out of order, I'll certainly buy an M11 : in 10 years it'll be cheaper ! BUT, if I may, for the price, the EVF could have been in the box.

    I received email from Leica earlier about this event with a link. Today I clicked the link and the website said "you do not have permission to view this page!". How poorly can you actually treat your customers? How low can you go? M11 is also a big disappointment! It looks like innovation ended with M10-R and now you are using components of your competitors, not making your own. M10-R and M10M were probably the last great Leica M cameras.
