Really enjoyed this. I lived in Rome when I was in Jr High. Always one of my favorite places.
Which Jr High ?
@@keifferlindsey965 I went to East Rome Jr and one year at East Rome High in 1981. When we first moved to GA we lived in Lindale for a year.

Seeing East Rome High with Coach Weisman’s old blue truck is a trip. Huffs made the best cherry coke’s. (soda fountain style) The old Shrimp Boat & Miller’s at Riverbed Mall. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching James. I graduated from East Rome High in 1971. I'm familiar with all of those locations.

Huff Pharmacy! My brother and I used to get Hot Wheels, comic books, and hamburgers in there.
Thanks for watching. I used to walk past there on the way to school at East Rome Jr. High. I went in there many times also.
Have a fantastic week,

Did you ever try their hamburgers? They were some of the best I ever ate.
They had the best makeup counter!
amazing trip down memory lane special times of yesteryear🌷can you please explain the story behind the picture of the man in the wagon being pulled by goats and what does his sign say. I can’t make out the last few words🌷
The sign reads "Prepare to meet thy God". He was a traveling preacher and I saw him pass through our home town several times. People would drive for miles to come see him. He was always referred to as the goat man. This is a link to the story about him.

I'm thinking by this video you live in Rome Georgia. There's one picture you got on here of a store in a shopping center than me some others have been talking about about here lately and we have been trying to figure out which grocery store was in that shopping center. The picture in this video is stories Lumber and Supply Store on Shorter Avenue. There was a clothing store super discount, drugstore Higgins shoe store and the barbershop in that shopping center and I cannot remember the name of the grocery store. I used to work at super discount and I would help sometimes at the grocery store but I cannot remember the name of the store. I'm thinking that used to be an A & P. Thank you very much
Cornbread Thanks for watching. I don't know the name of the store, but I know someone that might remember. I will contact them and reply back to you tomorrow. Thanks...Calvin
Southern Country Living thank you very much
I was able to confirm that the grocery store was an A&P store. The clothing store was Macks and the drug store was Enloes. Hopefully I spelled these right. I hope this information helps you. Have a great day...Calvin
Southern Country Living thank you very much I sure do appreciate it and God bless
Guessing by this you have a lot of old pictures of Rome. Would you have one of East Rome Elementary School? No one seems to have one. I also use to walk by Huff's Pharmacy on the way to East Rome Jr. High and would stop in for a cherry coke.
I don't have a picture of that. I have walked past Huff's pharmacy many times also.

Troops I ,beloved at the battle of ressac Georgia!!!!!!! I,m not sure they may have been released??? It was brought up at family reunions, Noah Parris was in the 1,st AIA.
