There's like 4 guitar parts going at the same time in the beginning they'd have a real hard time replicating it. Plus zacky would not be able to do those sweeps

I was in the crowd that day. A guy passed out after falling from a "crowd surfing". I remember watching Synyster´s face worried for this guy, he was about to stop playing. I also saw Matt´s face, he was kind of dissapointed when he saw the guy on the floor and people yelling to each other to find out who was the responsible for the accident.

Luis Armando Trevino we were on the left side. The right side was where all the beer throwing and general dumbassery happened. The worst we got was a very out-of-place mosh pit.

Alkalilee I would agree with you that hail to the king was somewhat subpar compare to records like city of evil. But in my opinion, the stage was a total return to form for them. Great songwriting, great instrumentals, great new direction.

Okay for people complaining about how they don’t play exist in its full length just need to stop. Take what they give you and be happy with it. You know they could choose not to play it at all but hey they do so just be happy man like for real. I was at this show and I screamed then they played exist and higher right after that like damn man that was amazing
Music and Memes I’d prefer they use that time to play one of their better songs and not play a shorter version at all. It’s a pretty weak song as just the last bit imo and I personally felt like it dragged the energy of the show down a ton, especially because most of the people (especially in the front) didn’t seem to know it that well or care about it much. At least the first 7 minutes of this track is energetic and interesting.
Probably my favorite song of all time.

I was in the crowd for this as well awesome stage effects loved the space man awesome concert in general wish there was an actual out tho only the right side had a circle pit going but it was small
Michael Perkins the crowd was surprisingly dead. Most people werent even singing most of the songs, was kind of disappointed on that front. The show was absolutely nuts though

Nah, I think they are just playing it fast. Metal bands do that at shows all the time. Watch any Metallica or Megadeth concert. Live = Fast = More Metal.

Eric Wilhelm it's difficult for bands with shorter songs to fit a 15 minute song in the setlist, especially for the less passionate fans that might get bored.

CrumbsOfficial Yeah an honestly it's one of my favorite parts of the song! But I'd say take out any songs from Hail to The King and put in Exist. Not many people, that I know of really care about those songs anyway... not saying no one likes Hail to the King. Just that not as much as the other albums.
Eric Wilhelm I can agree with that. If they take out hail to the King and maybe afterlife (personally one of my least favorites) I think it would be better but we'll see.

Like many have said, the first 7 minutes aren't there when played live but you have to think about it in a live sense. The first 7 minutes is literally a guitar solo. If Gates trips up at any point it's not like missing a note or two on a solo. You'd be really screwed. A7X has done that with a few of their songs, making them only playable in studio, which is not a bad thing. It's just hard to replicate that monster of an intro which Gates probably played both tracks to in the harmonized parts.
If you search for Martin Ronning on here he covered the entire song, it's amazing. It's one of like I think 4 covers of the song on here. That's how crazy it is.

I thinl he said in an interview that intentionally quit making his voice so raspy...so he could preserve his voice better..because as he puts it "if you dont take care of your voice you'll start canceling shows"
