It only started in 1966, when a gunman in the tower at Univ of TX in Austin murdered a number of people below. Since then, the number of mass murders has slowly increased until now it's almost a daily occurrence. And almost all of them only happen in America, a nation that has just 5% of the World Population. And you can't say that Gun Control is the problem because guns were easier to get before 1966 than they are now. Each of these mass murders is just a symptom of an underlying Morally Sick Society. I hope he is sorry. Nothing will change the damage he’s done and nothing should mitigate the consequences he faces. Being sorry doesn’t and shouldn’t entitle anyone to a get out of jail card. The only ones who should even benefit the slightest from his apology are the loved ones of his victims, who hopefully can take at least the smallest comfort in knowing this man acknowledges the wrong he enacted. But that comfort still doesn’t bring back their loved ones.
