George Northwood: How to go from bedhead to blow-dry | Get The Gloss

Our hairdressing hero George Northwood shows us how to go from messy bedhead hair to a gorgeous, voluminous blow-dry.
Step 1:
On dry hair, lightly mist a small amount of Redken Root Lift, £10.45 (tinyurl.com/keqluvc), throughout the hair.
Step 2:
With a large ceramic brush, George uses the Hershesons Ceramic Ion Brush 2, £30 (bit.ly/Y0s09I), around the hair and blow dry it section-by-section. Use the brush to set it in place like a roller. Make sure that you twist the brush around when you take it out of the hair to leave the curl in the hair while it curls and sets. By brushing through, you’ll make the curl disappear.
Step 3:
Blowdry the front of the hair pulled forward and flat over the forehead and temples. Round out the ends with your ceramic brush to create a sweeping fringe look.
Step 4:
Finally, shake the hair through with a hairdryer to rough it up. Then lightly mist once you have it in the desired parting with some Pureology Colour Stylist Strengthening Control Hairspray, £14.25 (bit.ly/ZbL3z3).
