- I've been building the Revell (ex Matchbox tooling) Flower class on and off for 3 years.
More or less out of the box, though there's some aftermarket (wish I'd known about Micromaster 3D printed parts much earlier lol).
Edging closer to the finish line now.
brings back fond memories of building the matchbox kit probably late 80's I would guess. at the time my largest and most expensive kit build. looks good
Beautiful job James, thanks for sharing.
Looks great, nice work.
Looks great James.
I started building two in tandem about two years ago and have converted both to radio control.
I have just started to continue building them and the hulls are now ready for paint.
After painting I shall glue in the portholes and ballast the hull.
After that I shall finish constructing and painting the superstructure and they'll be ready to hit the lake.
I have had four of these kits and I have built three of those. I currently have three including the Matchbox original which is also an RC conversion (not done by myself).
Did you paint the decks and superstructure by hand or did you spray it with aerosol or an airbrush?
Looking forward to seeing more progress
👍
thanks
