Should I use PostgreSQL or MongoDB for my new project?

Comparing apples and oranges, that's why I often hear from developers. A modern inexperienced developer is heavily influenced by Twitter "heroes", CZcams "heroes" and is very often a victim of making technical decisions, or thinking about them, as if they are a matter of opinion, and not a matter of function, or using the right tool for the problem.
