The King's Indian Setup, combined with the Pirc Defense, is a very easy Chess Opening especially for beginner to intermediate players. But even Grandmasters play it. We will learn the easier version tho. It will help you improve at chess, win and strategically and tactically dominate the game. If you want a higher rating, watch this guide on this opening. Oh and Subscribe. - Zábava
As a black indian i see this as an absolute win
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
💀
You miss a king 👑
Tf bro lol
You've single-handedly turned chess into something I enjoy. 100% serious. I always used to play chess with my dad and that was a good time and all, but whenever I looked up strategy it was always like reading a PhD thesis-- super dry and dense (with a tinge of elitism as well). The way you present chess makes it into what it's supposed to be: a GAME. I like having all these little missions. Makes me understand the actual game plan, what makes it work and what makes it not work. Thank you
This is so true. Whenever I'm in a chess slump I watch one of these videos and start having fun again
Yeah. As someone that recently took on chess, i really enjoy that now the content is widely avaliable without the elitism related to it. It's really refreshing
So true never underestimate him, he is the best chess teacher ever!
Ye
The kings Indian can be played against most openings, but what you failed to realise is that it takes skill to play this opening.
Allowing the opponent to gain a lot of space from you is really hard for beginners to deal with.
So DONT PLAY THE KINGS INDIAN I DID IT AND SUCCEEDED THROUGH HARD WORK, BUT ITS EASIER TO JUST LEARN MORE OPENINGS.
"This isn't real life, you can't just ignore problems" (6:57)
The genius sarcastic phrase! I'll remember it
I'm late but yes. This will prob f me up for a week or so. I'm going to bed.
😢😮
King's Indian is good for online games, but for OTB games, I would rather suggest playing the King's American where you just pull out a glock. It has a 100% success rate.
The King's American Attack
A glock is all it takes
what silencer, what mag, what scope, what camo, what technuiqe, when do i use it.
😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome
4:29 You are about to see the most straightforward attack on King since 1793☠☠
Too old 😅😅😅and we are learning
Real 💀💀💀
Without the music, it was less exciting, but far easier to follow the instructions. The right choice for a rather detailed video!
this!
THIS!
THIS!!!
this!
that!
As a chess coach (2100 FIDE, 2500 online) I find it extremely instructive how you make learning an opening easy to learn. You advocate some very bad plans sometimes as a way to cut corners which is totally ok for beginners. I will definitely get inspiration for my lessons thanks to this
Also a great way for beginners to learn from their mistakes.
Chess coach?
@@ijaffy.6958yeah
No one cares what your FIDE rating is.
@@ijaffy.6958yes, chess coach. Google is your friend
Your teaching style is excellent. Explianing the general intent of pieces and positions is so helpful and i almost never see it presented so simply.
I'm 1850 lichess and been playing the kings indian for about 4 years. This is one of the best KiD videos I've seen. Distilling the complexity of this opening into 11 mins is remarkable. Great job
This channel is the perfect example of quality over quantity

@@Jesus-wi1ttGothamchess doesn't work for me
@youknow227 right in the first clip he ended it with the pawn attacking his knight. Y would u sacrifice a knight for a pawn
@@Dc-kk9bdIt is a forced check bro , white king have to take the queen which preventing your enemy from taking your knight and plus, now your enemy can't castle after taking your queen
Yes I.. haha😂
I honestly look forward to your videos as they are legit so easy to understand. The best part is that I can effectively play the opening without memorizing hundreds of different variations.
Thanks chesspage1.
Only in KID, d6 for everything is more difficult than it is showed in video
@@trolfejs829d6 for all e4 actually. Also, facing stronger opponents who even know how to play Bayonet-Attack properly has never been easy. 🤷♀️
Jesus Christ your attention spans are that fucked 😢
As a classical music maniac, your choice of music mostly pertains to classical or instrumental background-ish music, which isn’t distracting from your well-explained contents at all.
I’m learning Kings Indian & Caro Khan rn and your vid’s helped a lot. Many thx
It is Kann, not Kahn
i needed this the only black opening i knew was caro-kan
FINALLY ITS OUT ITS BEAUTIFUL
You are my second favorite channel (#1 being Top Chess) and you explain openings in the best, skmplest and the most comedic way possible!
I appreciate you a lot for giving out these lessons. It has helped me a lot to improve in chess. Also, for the ones wondering, GM Hikaru played that game against GM Wesley So.
I came here to thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
I watched your video a couple of hours ago, and applied your simple method whenever i got black pieces and as a very noob player to chess this works like blessings. This really creates a strong defense and your attacks are very safe and easily manageable. Thanks
Bro this is perfect after an all nighter
Thank you for pointing out the Neutralizing tactic. Please continue to highlight tactics that are beyond the pin/skewer/fork. I have learned a lot about tactics from your channel. Thank you!
The best chess channel. You got me into chess. Even if I suck. Missions and goals are so helpful to understand compared to "learn your openings bro"
This is by far the best chess opening explanation I have seen, the causal way is just so good and this way we can easily have a good understanding about the opening before going too deep in it ❤️
Bro this guy actually makes chess videos funny and interesting. Every time I watch another chess CZcamsr they explain like everyone automatically can read their mind. Thank you
7:52 he sacrificed THE ROOOOOOOOOOOOK
Your guides are great :)
Also I think less music works better since it makes focusing on the moves easier, but that's just me. Ty for the guide!
After every instructional video you make about a opening you make me want to play it. Good job!
The King’s Indian Attack is my favorite opening. It can be so complex yet so simple. Plus it can be used any game
Thanks for making a video on the King's Indian Setup! I never really knew how to play the middle game and I really didn't want to memorize a mind numbing amount of variations. Hoping to see more great videos coming out! Keep it up.
Hands down the most entertaining chess channel I have ever seen. This is superb! What a great way to teach.
thank you so much for this! i've never seen a video on chess opening as cool as yours! that was fun & informative! thanks a ton!💕
Been looking forward to this one! I’ve had yet to see anyone make sense of this opening, and I’ve really wanted to learn it because of how versatile it is. Please keep making more of these.
I always wait for his videos it is a masterpiece!❤❤
Dude this is by far my favorite chess video ever! Keep making these funny & informative videos!
Lol ! I loved this - the humour, the graphics and the mind boggling chess broken down into 3 logical steps. Great job - I'm still laughing and will replay this gem over and over 👏👏👏
I really enjoy your opening vidoes, cuz u dont only show an opening moves, u also explain role of each piece toheter and midlle game plans. Seriously, medile game plans are very importand during openings.
Been playing it for over a year and came to the point when I could give those numerous checks to my opponent but still having a hard time of mating as I am by far not Hikaru. The opening is amazing for bullet chess, where you know exactly your first moves and mostly safe no matter what.
Loved this! I think I focus a little but more in the middle of the video when you’re getting to more complicate stuffs because the lack of music, but i think putting more music back at least in the first half of the vid will make the video more fun and retaining the charm of your older vids
I have literally never commented on a CZcams video before, but your videos are some of the best, funniest content out there. Thanks for bringing a smile.
“Catapult your wife” 😅😅
I found this opening pretty deadly at low elo.Often people even dont develop their white knight, so you can just Bb2 and take free rook. Thats tope and thanks for the guide, nice!
Amazing content. Sense of humor and real chess information is great. Do more please ❤
This video broke down the complicated concept of a whole opening into bite-size pieces: Amazing😊
You make chess theory learning actually easy and fun. Thank you for your work
Not the first
Totally yea
@@A_PERSON771 Yez
congrats
@@iblivs21 thanks
i loved the explanations and missions with the humour and memes. perfectly balanced and on point, it really made the learning boring part a lot more fun and enjoyable for me... great video
I've never seen a video explain an opening so well. Thank you!!!
**Quantum/ Computational Chemist here. And yes, I agree with the hypothesis about Kings Indian variation vs Quantum Physics.
0:14 actually you forgot about the knights variation, east indian attack - 🤓
Probably the best opening video I’ve ever watched, started playing rapid around 500 rated and was struggling with understanding and trying to memorise different opening lines. But this video made it so simple and clear that I always play a kings Indian now. Currently at 1200 after about 9/10 months and can’t wait to keep growing as a player.
I have watched chess for quite a bit, but your video's actually made me go and play it. I like your video style a lot. The long video's but also the shorter ones. Great humor etc.
This game was played between Wesely and Hikaru in 2015. Wesely was a strong opponent whose rating was 2779 ELO but Hikaru stormed him with 6 Brilliant moves resulting in a very centralized checkmate of the white king
Below 1 hour gang 👇
Out of all the chess tutors I'd watched in YT, your the most entertaining one, you make your videos a bit funny and not plain boring lectures which is why I'd subscribe and watched your videos, hope you make more videos
I LOVE this channel! The brilliant wit and concise informative approach are the perfect combination.

TNX ,I've seen videos about this opening before but I didn't really understand it because there are so many variations, now I understand because of you
This is the best chess channel, I kept myself focused on this video during all the time, and the best thing of all is that I'm training my english skills (I speak Portuguese) thanks for existing dude

In your case I feel, you really want to share your knowledge and really understand the way of thinking of lower rated player. You're channel can be easily my favorite chess channel and probably other's too.
I learned for more about King's Indian / Pirc defense in this short video than ever...
Hello! This is a great video, thanks for sharing! I like the way you are explaining all different possibilities and as well for emphasising the important points of this opening. Thank you again!
I just found your channel and it’s amazing. Immediate favorite. Thank you!
Thankyou chesspage 1. Your're funny and instructive at the same time. I didn't find anything wrong with the music. I encourage you to always try new things tho 💯💯

I just discovered your chess videos and they are a delight to study. Thank you for creating them.
Amazing explanation! Deserves more views~
You made it look fun and of course we are learning. Many thanks
I always struggled to find a solid and ejoyable opening with black. After trying out the King's Indian setup, my win ratio improved significantly and I had a lot of fun while using it. Thank you so much for this video! 😁
this one will be a legendary video,! great one mate!
I like it when There is music. :-D very clear way to explain chess. And most of all, fun. Thank you
Idk about music as this is the first video I have seen by you. But this is hilarious and fun. You keep it entertaining while also pointing out common questions and stuff. I like this style. Subscribed!
This is my favorite chess channel, please keep making great stuff like this!
The music was a big help in this video. I usually get annoyed with lots of computer generated voices, but the music kept some personality in the video and made it enjoyable
I improved so much after only two videos from you
thanks a lot
my games become so much more fun now
As a beginner, I enjoyed this video. I wish you had elaborated more on what it means to be able to attack. (And I definitely prefer tutorials with no music--too distracting!) May God bless you for your work! :)
so loving it rn... thank you so much been 6 years not able to pay chess..
then i saw this very helpful
As someone developing their interest in chess, this video was both brilliant for a beginner but also very engaging and hilarious.
Great work mate, just subscribed to your channel!
ooohhh yeeeaaaahhh first the caro kann and now this, the two openings I am learning as black
thanks a lot for this saucy content!!
This was such a great video, I'm not sure if it really needs the music, I can see why you questioned using it or not, keep it up!!
