This song hits on another level. The repeated screaming of 'turn the light on' gives me goosebumps. I often try and explain my depression to people like a light switch. When the light is on, everything is good. But in an instant, someone or something can flip that light switch and everything goes dark.. my mood, my thoughts.. and I'm left begging for someone to please just turn the light back on. Fuck.
Keep going, once this switch will be under your control, I promise. I believe in you.
I'm right there with you. I have bipolar. I have multiple switches. Some more severe than the others. Never know how long they'll last.
@Amorous yup. They did an amazing job of describing what depression actually feels like. The screaming and lyrics represent the darkness of depression but the singing and violin show there's hope of defeating it. Hope it gets better for you.
Same here. I've tried everything to rid my brain of it and nothing works. I'm just learning to live with it. The one thing that gets me moving is my dog. I live for him since I can't for myself.

The violin makes this band so much more unique and they don’t just sound like some knockoff of another. Love it, love they’re songs and the effort put in to give us the best, most relatable experience possible. Depression is a bitch but atleast I know I’m not alone in the darkness.

Everyone says that the violin in this band makes the band different than other bands. Don't get me wrong I think it does, but Imminence are so freaking talented that they would stand out either way. The amount of emotion they bring and their rare, beautiful details makes them different and incredible!❤❤

This song is perfect. I've listened to a lot of music and different genres in my life and this is truly a masterpiece and one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's the perfect combo of light and heavy.

You've just not delved deep enough into metal... These guys are great but "Ne Obliviscaris" would put them to shame.
Ne Obliviscaris are don’t get me wrong a great band. But no where near as talented as immanence. Ne obliviscaris are very forgettable and basic when it comes to trying new things. Immanence is so much better a drawing the attention of the listener and making them want more. It is why there is such a big differant in the listeners between the two bands

I just learned of them and I'm beyond blown away. Quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. Erase is absolutely phenomenal and if you haven't heard the acoustic version you're missing out. it's insane how completely emotionally opposite the versions are, and the acoustic version is probably one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life.

I play the violin and it's one of my favourite sounding instruments. So, when I first stumbled upon Imminence early this year because I was going down a rabbit hole of other bands that were in my taste, I was instantly mesmerized by the violin woven into rock. My favourite song is still the first one I ever stumbled upon. They have honestly pushed my desire to do more with my music. I want to do more than just contemplate doing music. Their style won't be mine but they've definitely influenced the direction I want to go. I always wanted to have a similar style to Three Days Grace or Tool/A Perfect Circle but with my female vocals and violin. Some songs would even have the piano, since it's one of the three instruments that I play. They seem to look about my age and they've already done so much music but as Three Days Grace sang, it's not too late. It's never too late.
