How to Increase T4 Levels Naturally (WITHOUT Medication)

  • T4 is the most abundant thyroid hormone in the body by far. Roughly 80% of all thyroid hormone floating around in your body right now is in the form of T4. It may not be the most powerful, but it's obviously very important to thyroid hormone regulation because your body can draw upon your T4 store to create various types of thyroid hormone as needed.
If you are someone who is trying to optimize your thyroid function for better health or because you have hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's, you should find this information on how to increase your T4 levels naturally very helpful:
    1. Diet: Look for foods that are high in iron, tyrosine, and iodine as all 3 of these nutrients are needed for thyroid hormone production.
#2. Food volume: Not only are the type of foods that you eat important but also the quantity or volume of food that you eat. Avoid calorie restricted diets if you are trying to increase your T4 level. You may paradoxically see an increase in T4 temporarily but this comes at the cost of low T3 which is not ideal.
#3. Thyroid glandulars: Certain supplements, like thyroid glandulars, may help provide the building blocks that your body needs for T4.
#4. Avoid alcohol: Alcohol is shown to be toxic to thyroid cells and even blunts the response of TSH from TRH.
#5. Get more sleep & avoid stress: Both sleep and stress are needed for T4 production. Getting less than 7 hours each night is enough to see a decline in T4 levels.
#6. Increase your intake of essentials fats and omega-3 fatty acids: Supplementation with vitamin D and omega 3 fatty acids may reduce your risk of Hashimoto’s by 22%.
#7. Exercise: Exercise at 70% of your maximal heart rate has shown to have a positive impact on T4 levels and thyroid function more generally.
Intensity is key 70% of maximal heart rate.
While T4 is incredibly important so is T3. If you want to learn how to increase T3 levels naturally then check out this video next: • How to Increase Free T...

I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism last Aug. 2022
My endocrinologist told me to take levothyroxine 100mg. I will take it for 6 months. I have 6 thyroid nodules.. My first check up that was 3 mos. After, i had my lab, and my tsh result is high, so he told me to adjust my levo medication to 50mg.. After 3 mos. I had my check up and lab, still my tsh is high. So he adjusted my levo to 25 mg. he is considering for me to have a thyroidectomy... but i'm hesitant to that.. so we continued my medication and this time i'm taking levo adjusted to 12.5 mg.
My last ultrasound result, he said that my nodules become a bit smaller.. and my tsh become normal as well.. He told me again to consider thyroidectomy. But since i don't have enough money to pursue it.. i ask him what will happened if i will not have surgery..
He told me that we will just continue what we used to do for medication..
My question is if i will consider surgery, does it cure me totally with my hypothyroidism?
    I am 55 yrs. Old..
I hope you will time to answer this matter. Really appreciate!@ Dr. Childs.
