- UTM or Universal Testing Machine it is used to test the tensile strength and compressive strength of materials like steel bars and Concrete samples. We will post a different video explaining the parts of UTM and its uses.
Masonry trowel use for mixing small volume of concrete mixes uses in the preparation of concrete samples.
Slump Cones measure the workability of a fresh concrete mix. The slump cone test is performed for acceptance purposes, to record mixture characteristics, or as an indirect method of determining the water/cement ratio.
Concrete Sample Molds are available in a range of shapes and sizes designed to meet specific needs and comply with many ASTM and AASHTO standards. We have here Concrete Cylindrical Mold and cube mold used to test the compressive strength of concrete and concrete beam molds used to test the flexural strength of the concrete.
And this is the Tamping rod used in the consolidation of fresh concrete specimens in test applications for the slump, air content, and strength it is a stainless steel rods which is corrosion-resistant, with hemispherical tips at both ends.
Vicat Apparatus is use to determine the consistency, time of set, and false set of hydraulic cement, mortar, and grout. (False setting is the to the abnormal premature stiffening of cement within a few minutes of mixing with water. )
Gillmore Needle Apparatus is used to determine initial and final set times of Portland cement, masonry cement, hydraulic hydrated lime, and certain mortars.
Rockwell hardness test is used to test the hardness of materials by indentation this machine here is CD 600 which is a hardness tester it uses diamond indenter or steel ball indenter depending on the type of steel being test.
Soil Scoop use to dig up soil or kapag kukuha tayo ng soil sample sa container.
Digital Weighing Scale is a device to measure weight or mass. Capacity is 600 g with sensitivity up to 0.05g
Mortar and Pestle is for mixing different composition or mixing single material homogeneously.
Drying Oven design for drying large quantities of soils and aggregates samples. May maintain temperature siya to conform with the standards .
Evaporating Dish item used for the evaporation of solutions. Inilalagay natin ito sa loob ng oven with soil sample natin.
Moisture Cans or moisture tins for soil sample drying din siya.
Rubber Mallet kind of hammer made of rubber use to break large mass of sample into the desired parts.
Series of Sieve of progressive smaller sizes . Inilalagay ntin ito sa Sieve shaker when we do aggregate grading.
