The Hon. Chief Justice Ma s the Chief Justice of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. Over the past two decades, he has held various positions in the High Court of Hong Kong, including Chief Judge and Justice of Appeal. A staunch advocate of judicial impartiality, he has criticised judges who have expressed political opinions during recent protest movements, and is considered one of the most respected defenders of human rights in Hong Kong.

Is that “hmm” we hear as the moderator’s response to the honorable Judge’s answers genuine or sardonic? But otherwise, a sharp and disciplined interviewer has emerged.
Sounded like she spaced out while the honourable Judge was so eloquently addressing her prepared questions.
