Thanks for the great detail to make up for their lack of good documentation.
I am charging mine up now and it was not obvious how to even open the remote antennas which were locked up on mine.
I'm pretty sure the antennas are fake, but there is a video on how to replace the video antenna to extend your range.

Thanks for your wonderful reviews! I just received my F11 yesterday. Don't know if they play soccer (football) with these boxes because mine was all banged up too ... but the packing was great and everything works. Mine went on back order but I texted the chatroom of the support dept. and it was resolved immediately and shipped the next day to USA. Took about three weeks to get here.( I would have ordered from USA but the options I wanted were only available in China. )
The videos I took yesterday looked more like 720p, but it was in the shade. Could not tell the difference between SD and iPhone pix. Looks like it works much better with an iPhone than with others. Except for the gesture modes, the features seem to work on mine.
Also, seems to hold very well in the wind, and it blows here every day!
I enlarged the manual by taking and printing a picture of each page. :)
it is a $150 UAS so it is a good one to use to "get your wings". It is an amazing bargain! ;)

hi rx344, just a quick ?. I do not have a smart phone, but can this still be used without a smart phone, thank you sir.
Yes, you can fly this and record video without the need of a cell phone, however you would need to connect to the drone through its app (with some mobile device like a tablet or cell phone) just once to remove the beginner mode and distance restrictions… To my knowledge, that cannot be unlocked without at least connecting with the drone’s app. Once it is unlocked, It can be flown long distances without the need of a mobile device and of course, you will lose waypoint features and the live FPV video feed if you do not use a mobile device, but ultimately yes, you can fly this around and take pictures and record video just using line-of-sight and no mobile device…

I have 1 question on this drone battery. On manual book say its Li Ion, but battery states it a Lipo. Looks like Lipo to me but how to balanced charge/store charge the battery?
These batteries charge through a micro USB cable… They don’t require any sort of balance charger or anything to that effect, just simply a micro USB cable…

Yes, you will need a phone (or mobile device) that supports 5G WiFi. The app for the drone is available for both Apple iOS & Android...

Good day, any idea if it's possible to switch off the GPS for flying indoors. Been searching forums etc but can't find any info. Nothing in the manual. I know it's possible the sjrc s70w but not sure if this one does it.
Yes, it’s actually quite simple… Just keep the headless mode button pressed until you hear a beep and see the lights change on the drone, that will disable GPS mode and if you keep it pressed again, it will re-enable it (as explained at 12:00 in the video)...
@@rx344 thanks man yeah found the part on your video that explained it but our customer had left by then 🙈 he wanted to see it fly the shop before purchasing but we battled to disable the gps. Very informative video though, thanks. Just got our stock of this drone here is South africa so we're a bit behind you guys, still educating ourselves lol.

I saw some frame skipping. Is this video from the live transmission or sd card?
Unfortunately it’s all directly from the SD card… Perhaps the reason for the frame skips is that the camera on this records at 25 frames per second…
rx344 If I were to take off the drone near a cliff, during RTH back, can i cancel RTH before it lands so that i can regain control of the drone again and move it to where i want it to land?
Yes you can, you simply press and hold the return to home button again…

Yes, but it seems like this box from SJRC is more delicate than their previous drones (perhaps to cut costs bit)… The cardboard is a lot thinner on this one than some of their previous drone packaging…
Very nice and thorough review. however it DOESNT work with just any micro usb cable. i dont know the reason, but the battery and transmitter, from my experience, only work with the provided cable.ive tried many other cables i have, but they dont work. wish i knew what was so special about this cable.

Yes, most of these budget drones do have fake antennas just for looks...
It's fake. But really really good entry level drone. I highly recommend it.
I'm pretty sure the antennas are fake, but there is a youtube video on how to replace the video antenna (for $1.40) to extend your range.

how do you disable the beeping noise while shooting video?
I’m not aware of a way of doing that...
Chauncey Stewart I watched a video awhile back that stated if you start video recording on transmitter then it beeps but if you start video with app on phone then there won’t be a beep.........I’m waiting on delivery of my F11 so pls confirm the beep/no beep for me Thx.
Good point, I will check it out… I know activating the recording from the transmitter will always have the beeps, but I have not tried with just using the app… it may not beep in that case… In any case, the beeps are not too bad, they actually let you know that you’re recording and remind you to stop recording (as a lot of people corrupt their video by not shutting off the recording before turning off the drone)…

Hi, I have 250 dollars, which drone you recommend to buy? I am a beginner but really good with that type of stuff
If the camera quality and smoothness is important to you, then a good bet would be to try to get a DJI Spark (with controller) on sale or perhaps a slightly used/refurbished DJI Phantom 3 Standard or Parrot Bebop 2. If it is not a priority and you’re looking for something simple to start out with (that flies decent), then this one would be fine or perhaps you can try the MJX Bugs 2W or 5W, or the JJRC X9 Heron...

How do you scan the QR code for the app? Scanning apps don't seem to work?
Download a QR code reader app (that uses your mobile device’s camera)… I use: ‘Red Laser’ and it works fine…
How long was the shipping process?
Depending on the shipping option selected, anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks.
One more thing to mention...please take note of the: ‘starts shipping’ date(s) on the ordering page... Even though it may be available for purchase now, the shipping process won’t commence until the ‘starts shipping’ date...
Will this work with a Iphone5s?
I have not tried with that phone, but I will confirm that it works with iPhone 6 and newer…

Yes it can, the phone is optional… It is only necessary if you want to see the live video feed (FPV) from the drone…
Is it compatible for Huawei Nova 3i??
It should be, considering that it is a fairly new phone (with most likely 5G WiFi support)...
What phone gives the most range?
Well the chances are better with the newer, more expensive phones (as their reception is probably better), but most 5g capable phones should do well...

Great drone, great flight, good review, sir. It worth its money for the high definition video, gps and 25 min lasting battery.
Thanks. Personally, I think it is... A well-built, foldable, brushless, GPS drone with HD camera & 2 extra batteries for just over $200 is a worthwhile deal... If the camera quality at this price is not favorable, the option to place a small RunCam or FireFly exists (since its brushless motors are powerful enough to handle it)...

Yes, initially it is set to: ‘beginner mode’ which limits the distance & altitude the drone can fly...it will also start at the slowest speed & you can later increase that & the max distances as needed...

Of course a DJI Phantom 4 Pro is much better… But it’s also much more expensive... For just over $200 you get this one fully loaded, while a Phantom 4 Pro will cost you close to $2,000…
and yes, the flight time and range of this drone (at this price point) is excellent…

That’s a difficult one... both are very good drones… I guess many people want to try to get the smoothest footage possible, so they may tend to gravitate towards the JJRC X9 Heron (due to the fact that it actually has a gimbal on it)…

Great, thanks...it’s a tough choice (they are both very good)...this one is compact & foldable, but the Bugs 5w has a better camera...I heard MJX is working with SJRC to make a foldable Bugs 4w later this year...that would certainly be something to look out for....

I guess if I really had to choose, I would probably go with the Bugs 5w mainly because it has audible feedback on the controller (beeps) when the aircraft is either too far out of range or low on battery and that small detail is important as the pilot can rely on that and is aware that they should bring their aircraft into closer proximity…
