Here I am in Kings Cross helping homeless Charley on his 24th Birthday. Charley has been homeless for 6 months now and I wanted to give him my gift of healing and dynamic holistic massage. Homelessness is a real thing and although there are charities that offer some kind of help, we as fellow human beings, can help immensely by first not ignoring them or pretending they are not there. They deserve more than being treated like outcasts, trash or invisible. Stop lying to your self. SEE AND FEEL WITH YOUR HEARTS ♥️.
I often go out and help the people I come across but today I really wanted to show you that every little does help. We all go through bad patches and it makes a world of difference to show a little love when it is desperately needed. It’s not about money. It’s not about what you assume people like Charley’s life story is for him to be in his current situation. No, it’s about NOW. It’s about reaching out with compassion, love and connectedness in the present moment. BE A GOOD INSPIRING EXAMPLE. The rest will evenutally join in and folllow. Be brave and be the change you seek. If you can’t spare change, say “hi, how’s it going today?” Have a chat. Talk about your self, have a conversation. Share some time on common ground. Maybe give them a book, food, a teddy bear, a jacket, a blanket, a pair of shoes, a warm drink, a smile, a hug 🤗. Or maybe you can lend them your phone so they can make THAT call some body has been waiting for. It's that simple. Show some love ♥️. Don't wait for some one else to do what you can do NOW. Just found your channel and not only do we share the name Kai, I strongly relate to the thoughts and insights you talk about. Ive been down on my luck for the most part of my adult life, im 33 now and only 2 years ago I really began to listen to my inner self, being totally honest with myself and through that I was able to break free from my ongoing problems with drugs and what not.
The journey has just begun and I have had highs and lows but have not fallen back on my old thinking. Like you said in this video that you had not looked back, I feel the same.
But I just barely got away with my life and have had some pretty bad health consequences of my past actions which haunt me both psychologically and physically but im fighting to get stronger.
My biggest hurdle to deal with now is the feeling of stagnation in my life, I want to move away from the city i live in and really start fresh but its hard and with all the baggage its even harder at times.
I will watch more of your videos, you seem like a wise soul and a really positive person and i feel your videos can give me inspiration to move on. Thank you and keep on doing good in this world!
Hey Kai, I am 42 years old now. It wasn't until 2011 when my life turned around for the better but now, from where I am percieving my life from, I can see in hindsight that every thing had to be for me to be where I am now. Sounds obvious but it is true for all things. It might seem hard now for sure, but what I did was kept telling my self that my life didn't have to be the way it was then and slowly but surely, things started to get better. Small steps in the beginning. Small gradual steps. Never looking back. At one stage, I stopped talking to and seeing anyone I knew from my past that I knew was keeping me back. As you know now, the journey to CHANGE and MOVE ON starts when we become completely honest with ourselves. At first, I started to look at my reflection, eventually it became to me looking inside. The layers started to come off. All the bullshit, lies and shame I had been suffocating and drowining in started to shed off one by one. I even went through the stage when I would say exactly what was going on through my mind to the point it sounded like utter bullshit and nonenese. I didn't care. I just wanted it out. Then the nonesense became poems, songs - creative things - FREE FLOW. I had found a tangible way towards self-liberation. Slowly but surely, I also knew then and you are also very aware of now; that without our body and good health we really can't do anything of substance, we can't manifest our dreams and aspirations in to reality if we can't physically do, grow or nuture them in to frution. So for me, I said fuck all this shit, and returned back to my family roots of Qigong.. I went back to my motherland and found a temple where monks helped me. Slowly but surely, with good sleep, good proper food, good no hidden-agendas and catch 22 care and peaceful surroundings, my mind and body started to unify and became in harmony again. The thing that sparked this proper change in my life was when I for the last time, commited suicide in 2011. When I came face to face with death, I finally recognised and realised that I had ONE LIFE TO LIVE AND ONE LIFE TO GIVE. All or nothing. It was then when I wanted to LIVE. Yeah, life might seem like a roller coaster ride, with dips and dives, flying high than diving low but I now know many of us who are close to death know this: ALL OF THIS IS ONE WHOLLY EXPERIENCE.
You're only 33 - you're still a spring chick in my eyes bro. You got plenty more life to go. Plenty of healing to be done. Plenty of blossoming and becoming to be. Be completely, no-holds barred, 100%,don't give a flying fuck what others think - completely honest with your self and ride this wave - see how far you can go - LIVE THE ADVENTURE - BE THE ADVENTURE - unitl you can't see or even recognise ups or downs - just going with the flow - because I promise, eventually, you are going to be following your heart, with no time or space for fear, for you to become your living testament, your LIVING PRAYER and CELEBRATION of YOUR LIFE.
The only thing holding you back is your self. Tell your self to rise up, follow your heart, be fucking honest to your self, get up and GET BUSY LIVING or be forever regretful slow painful - suiciding.

After being homeless myself for nearly 2 years it was great to see somebody helping in a way he knew would give him some comfort. I'm lucky enough to have a job and a home now, there is hope and best of luck to Charly in the future.

As a massage therapy student, i appreciate this so much. You've helped this man in ways money cannot, he probably has so much pain not having somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down all of the time, and the human touch can be so healing. I think when i'm licensed i'll offer a free massage day for the local homeless, inspired by you :)

I like this healer!!! I was homeless for 5 years do I know and try to give out clothes and money every now and then....because homelessness is Brutal on the Mind!!! Brutal!!!! Liz I’ve met a few people like him over the past few years, it’s a sort of hippy anti establishment phase. Their morals are sound but their ideals unfortunately are not practical (cuz they are kids and we all aren’t the wisest when we are kids). Plus look he is relatively well groomed, clean, has decent clothes. It’s not like he came from the streets, he’s closing to be there either due to ideology, or frequently due to bad decisions I.e. drugs/alcohol/problems with the law etc... - but I’m sure if he wanted to he could clean himself up and work at McDonald’s or in recruitment.

As someone who has been homeless twice I understand. Life is rough, it rears up and kicks you in the teeth (sometimes when you think you're doing great) and smacks you down to the ground. I can honestly say that seeing this has helped me emotionally. I'm not homeless now but it's good to actually see people who care.

@@philbecker4676 definitely sad that people's natural selective biases leave out so many wonderful souls. Doesn't mean one should only focus on the "bad looking" ones - if you aren't severly mutilated then anyone can look aesthetically pleasing given proper care and love.
Where I live in Florida we have a lot of homeless people. They wander the streets trying to survive. Near me is a public park where many of them hang around. I don't have a lot of money but sometimes I can help. When I can, while grocery shopping I pick up a few cans of food with tops that don't need a can opener and leave them out on a picnic table or bench. It's not much I know but I'm not the only one. Someone else leaves a bunch of bottles of Gatorade. Others leave bottles of water a also cans of food. There's one lady who makes sandwiches and hands them out but I usually am not able to drop by until after dark when most of them have left to go find someplace legal to sleep.
Same at where I live in Kissimmee/Orlando.

Human touch is so powerful. It heals the body and mind and soothes the soul. What a wonderful gift this man provided. While helping those less fortunate with money is helpful, sometimes just stopping to say hello and having a little dialogue with a homeless person can mean a lot. They are often dismissed in our society as lazy and worthless. Many fall into these kinds of situations through no fault of their own. We don’t know the circumstances that got them there. I’ve always liked the saying, Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. This world would be a much better place if we all lived by this. Stay safe everyone! ✌🏻

I came upon this video on my recommended awhile ago and when you said “How would you feel if no one acknowledges you everyday?”
So I was walking into a gas station to pull out money from the atm, I saw a homeless man by the drive in with a sign. As I got in and I thought about this video and when I left the station, I decided to go to him and said “Here brotha.” And handed him 5US dollars. He teared up and asked me for a hug cause he really needed one and as I went for a hug I can smell alcohol. It didn’t matter to me if he used it for alcohol or not. As long as it can help him with whatever he’s going through for a bit then I’m glad I helped.
So I thank you for this video brother. Keep doing what you do and inspire others to learn and care a little more. 🙏

I cried a lot during this and even coughed very deeply once, so I was definitely feeling the massage too on my chest. I have a lot of grief and this helped release some of it, youre so kind and Charley seems so nice. I hope you both get all you deserve in this life 💙💚

I see comments about not wanting to give money. Give them something like an all-day bus pass so they can at least be mobile. It's the little things that count. It's not about money.

Whenever I see homeless folks I rarely have gift cards etc available. If I can I try to give something. If they might spend it on something bad well thats on them. But I won't withhold 5 bucks that someone might spend on food just because there is a chance they might not.
You want proof that modern society is extremely superficial? All the top comments talk about this homeless guy having model looks, not about the act of generosity or the message the Masseuse was delivering for 41 minutes.

It's because of videos like this that have opened my eyes to give to the homeless. Before, I was brought up with the belief to ignore them and not to give money to them because they'll just spend it on drugs and alcohol. Give them food instead of money because many really will spend it on drugs and alcohol. I have seen so many beg for money and then immediately go into the liquor store for some cheap bottles.

I can't imagine how good this would feel to this guy. First, that someone cares enough to do it, but just having someone help you feel good and relax. I would think being homeless would give so much tension in a persons life. This guy is a Saint.

It’s a great shame, but as somebody that works alongside care networks, local authorities, homeless charities, and social housing providers, I can say with confidence that (in the UK at least), homelessness (despite the desire of the public to think otherwise), is in part chosen...
He’s obviously suffering mentally otherwise he could quite easily utilise several services that would have him off the streets within a couple of hours, I do it 100 times a day.
@@ww680 this is often times the truth its pretty much the same here in the States as well.
That was real cool of you to give the dude a massage for his birthday. I feel like most people probably wouldn't even given him the time of day. I agree 100%, one of the worst things is to feel invisible or completely ignored when you're surrounded by so many people. It's a unique feeling of loneliness.

Wow this guy has such a nice kind generous character as far as I can c. He really warmed up Charlie both physically an spiritually .it's really touching. So we pray God blesses this guy in white who appear 2 b Muslim an is very inspiring 2others.

My mother had an accident with her back when she was younger and for as long as I can remember, she'd ask my sister and me to massage her. When I was a child I literally pushed my whole body weight onto my arms and hands for it to make a difference. I also used my fists a lot because my thumbs would get sore pretty quickly. It's only recently when for a team-building exercise we had to massage the person in front of us, I realised how much strength I really put (because the person in front of told me I didn't need to do it so hard) and also that usually you're not supposed to feel the muscles moving when massaging. I was really surprised when I was massaging this girl and I couldn't feel anything. For the first time, I felt a back without tension and it's very different!
This video was very pleasing to watch and very calming in some sense!

I can respect that you practice what you preach, Kai. Too often videos of people helping the homeless on CZcams feels like self-aggrandizement, but you have consistently talked about loving your fellow man, and I know you're using this as an example and medium to spread your message. Much love.

This guy is absolutely amazing and should be given a medal. What he is doing for this young homeless man is priceless. He’s not only giving him a needed massage, but he’s talking to him like a human being and listening to him. And giving him good advice as well.
I don’t think I could do this. Nor could most of us. I hope that at least by watching and liking we contributing in some tiny way.

Your such a nice person. I was homeless addicted to heroin and crack. I've got my 3 years consecutive 5 years in recovery. Drugs and homelessness don't make someone a bad person. Thank you for helping him and thank you for being you.
