And still, he didn't extended it anyway. Like FFVII got Crisis Core and working on remaking.

@@shekki3192 FFVII and FFX were massive cash cows. If FFIX sold as well, then I bet it would have got more games. FFXIII and FFXV were intentionally expanded from the beginning before they got any sales figures, as some kind of strategy to maximize profit that didn't work out as well as intended.

Helloz World I mean IX is great but for example when that part with the play came up right away I thought of FF VI. I liked that better in VI personally. I felt VI was better overall but I also played it back in the 90s soon after it came out on the SNES.

Ah so that they were completeted means that in FFVII dont work magic defence armour, patched on Steam version, FFVIII you dont get Ribbon cause Pocket station its only in Japan, FFIX accuracy bug with Steiner or Beatrix and soo n, really completed games. :-)

I beat this game in just 5 days when I played it. I spent ALL of my free time playing it. Only a handful of games have ever hooked me to that level of extremity. This was in 2002 when I was 13 I think.

Melodies of Life and Eyes on Me are two songs that really stuck on me, as I grew older. While I've yet to finish the games, due to memory cards getting wiped and systems changing, hearing those songs always brings me back. A bit unrelated, but for anyone that hasn't heard, there's a Japanese "version" of Eyes on Me called Summer's Album that I'll also recommend. The album it came from also has a vocal version of VII's Descendant of Shinobi, called A Walk After The Rain which is also another favorite of mine. The singer for Eyes on Me, Emiko Shiratori also sang a vocal version of Epona's Song.
I actually look forward to these PS4 remasters of older FF titles. Small things like trophy support, HD scaling, and the ability to speed up the game itself makes things a bit more enjoyable.

Diego Kazama I think he means smoother gameplay like with higher FPS and stuff. Makes the entire experience feels less "sluggish"
Diego Kazama The remastered FFVII had optional 'cheats' in the game so that you could avoid random battles and speed up movement etc. i think he means that since FFIX will probably have the same thing.
IX was a charming valentine to the earliest FF titles. VII blew my teenage mind when it came out. But my heart belongs now and forever to VI.

I'd say start with Final Fantasy VII as that is also on the PS Store and was revolutionary for the time
FF series have no starting point, choose whichever you want, just avoid XII, XIII, XV, they're trash

Awesome game. This is what Final Fantasy needs, GREAT STORIES AND CHARACTERS, the opposite of FFXV. Play FFIX if you haven't, you won't regret it.

Narayan Castano the character dynamics in XV were one of the only reasons I kept playing it.
Memento Mori yeah, the gameplay got repetitive quickly and the graphics lost their charm after a while too, a lot of lost potential but still a sold game imo..
The four main of XV kept the game enjoyable

Unfortunately Square Enix announced months ago that they lost the original codes of the game, so this title will be the only one who does't have a porting for PS4 and XBOX ONE. The only way is to create a complete remake from the beggining of the game.

just for those who don't know, he's not dead just one of the greatest writer/producer's ever. when he left squaresoft it forced a merge with their rival enix due to his resignation reducing Square's financial capital.... FFIX was his swan song.

I've already played this game way too many times on PS1/PS2 but it was highly worth buying for PS4. Got it yesterday.
Are you kidding me? Of course I'm getting it, already had it for PS1 and PS3. You know what they say, three times the charm. So many childhood memories with this game and still my favorite of the series, by far. ;_;

Oh my god I am actually crying. FFIX is my second favorite mainline FF game behind FF6 and third favorite FF game period. I am so happy that it's on PS4 now. That is such good news. Hopefully everyone will get a chance to experience one of the greatest stories Square has ever told.

The major flaw in this game was the really slow battle speed, but this one has an option to speed them up; so this is just about the best FF experience there is now.
