I can't get my birds to eat anything other than seeds, millet and lettuce so I provide a vitamin supplement in the water every few days as well as the cuttlefish and mineral block. Any suggestions on how to encourage them to at least try what I give them please? Or just keep trying? Thanks
Yess... My budgies used to does the same !!
Here are some following ways by which you can encourage them to eat veggies & fruits :
1. At first you should provide them food in the morning.
Why : because in the morning they will be hungry at most and try to eat whatever you give them.
2. You can sprinkle some seed on the food you provide them.
Why : so that when they try to eat the seed which you've sprinkled some taste of that food will also goes in their mouth and then they'll try to eat more !!
3. You have to provide food in small pieces.
Why : because budgies are usually scared of things that are bigger than their size.
You can try giving them
very thin slice of cucumber 🥒
Grated carrot🥕 or cucumber🥒
Mashed boiled egg
And very thin slice of fruits like apple, pear, etc...

Also make sure not give them too much or don't keep veggies & fruits for longer periods in their cage !!
Or else it will lead to DIARRHOEA!! ✨️
