I just signed up for NORDVPN. It was very easy and it appears to be pretty easy to use. I got the 1T of Cloud storage and that is very easy to use and allows me to share folders and files of encrypted material. Thank you so much for introducing us to this VPN service. Of course I used your link to sign up. You're a good human and you give us great videos to watch. We live vicariously with you. Keep up the great work Brudda! Tank you so much
man, you are single handedly doing more for Scottish tourism than our own tourist board!! Your content should be on mainland TV as well as CZcams - pro quality. Simply brilliant.
Hi Erik. I watch your videos with my eight year old daughter. We haven't been sailing but, thanks to your channel, she now wants to learn - so we're going to start classes together in Palma de Mallorca, where we now live. Be sure to let us know if and when you pass through. She would love to meet you - and I'd love to buy you a drink. Happy sailing and thank you for the inspiration.
It’s rare to meet a really adventurous explorer. Wonderful videography is a joy to behold. An engaging character is so attractive. Excellent editing is a must for first class videos. To find all these attributes combined in one person is a rare and spectacular delight. Thank you Erik! ⛵️ ❤
It was fascinating being with you as you approached Castlebay at relatively high speed in fog, wind and rain. Your sailing skills, use of instruments and a mixture of courage and caution have never been more apparent than in this video.
Greetings from the west coast of Canada. Long time follower here. Erik, your cinematography and narration is first class. Thank you very much for everything you do and for taking us along.
Fog while sailing is something I respect a lot. I once got caught in the fog while sailing in the German Wadden Sea and the fear of running aground was enormous and at some point the fog was so thick that we anchored...
Loved seeing Castlebay again. At the southern tip of the Hebrides, its a place myths, mysteries and legends where time stands still. Thank you Erik for the visit.
We’re going to follow in your footsteps (wake) as soon as we can…. Keep the NBJS videos coming! Fascinated with the kit on Tessie, pausing the videos and zooming in to see her rigging and gizmos!
Rum is such a beautiful place I must add it to next years adventures. Jenson and I are planning going down the Caledonian canal and hitting the west coast for a few weeks in Merlin next summer, so really need to check Rum out on our trip. Thanks for another great video Erik its greatly appreciated all the effort you go into to keep us all entertained.
Erik, I enjoy your vlog immensely. If I may provide a suggestion: A technical video on how your run your lines. It looks like you have a lot going on in the cockpit! 😊 I'm sure it all makes sense and undoubtedly, you have a lot of experience in what works and what doesn't work. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. I think it could help out a lot of fellow sailors.

Great one Eric 👍,that fog looks scary ,even though you have radar and a chart plotter I think I would be worried about colliding with another boat or being run into by one , I dont think you can ever get bored by Scotland , the splendor , history and architecture are never ending expect you know the story of the famous Tobermory Galleon ☺
random fact @jes i live in southern victoria southern south western, to be more concise 4 hrs east is the capitol of our state, Melbourne it has a suburb called St Kilda beachside, i've never known why this is most probably why 🫡
08:40 .. "so I prepared for the gybe" than bang! Erik style 😀 Sir if I might the way we do this is take in the main sheet quickly centring the boom as much as possible and when the boom finally comes over we make sure the sheet is not locked and pay out the sheet very rapidly trying not to burn our fingers... smooth as baby no bangs on the rig. also cheers to another great trip and video!
We‘ve been sailing very close to you during the same time. And we’ve visited the same spots. So it’s wonderful to see your videos with the brilliant drone sections. It brings back wonderful memories. Thank you very much!
It must be your skill as a sailor, but it seems the waters always cooperate with you, as long as there are no tidal streams anyway. I’ll bet there were a few ghosts in that Castle! 😊. I’m really glad you had your heavy sailing gear while exploring the island. The dinghy ride could have been breathtaking in a different way. What a beautiful venture. Thanks for taking us along! ❤❤😊🌬️🌊👏🏻🎟️
My favorite video so far! Very nice! hard work in the rain, shows us some technical or secrets and also beautiful scenery. Congrats! can't wait for the next one!
Erik you are such a wonderful sailors and your biat is do beautiful under full sail. I have an Ericson bluewater sailboat and want to do these trips. I have ALWAYS singlehanded and just love being out there by myself. I'm completely refitting my boat for her next big adventure. Should be complete in about 2 1/2 years. Lots to do. ❤
I visited Rum as a child. My parents friend was the caretaker for Kinloch Castle and we were lucky enough to stay there for a few nights. The Castle had an organ and a full size snooker table which my brothers and I had fun playing on. It’s so sad that no one has been found to take on then maintenance and care of the building.
Erik, the continuous videos you show us, the places you take us. In my next life i am going to be ´you´..😊. At 11.32 i saw the house i could live in at Castle Bay, with the small white beaches and no other people around. Taking a swim there evry morning, no matter the weather, just being with nature. (then going back in the house to warm up at the fireplace ofcourse)☺ Thanks again for all you do.
Born and bred Scotsman in Oslo, learning new things about the homeland from a Whisky sipping Norwegian..... Properly enjoying this adventure, even more so than the previous installments.
I spent a couple of nights in Castlebay in 2018 or 2019, having sailed out there, and had better luck with the weather than you did Erik. Wonderful place and people, had a very enjoyable evening drinkng with local fishermen 👍
Thank you for the interesting videos and travel... Many people have the same dream, but not everyone succeeds; watching it live, you also make a small trip.
Erik, just watching the latest instalment of your amazing adventures. Thank you so much. It’s nice break from the Rugby World Cup, currently taking place in France.
I was lucky to spend a week on Rum in January 1973, well before any ugly cabins and visitor centre were installed. The phone-box's phone number was "Rum 3".
if the youtube algorithms were based on the quality of photography and content you would never need a share or a like, this was fantastic. Erik, sir, you define the target that others must only dream of i can only thank you...
Thank you for showing the world the real unspoilt beauty's of my homlands am planning to sail home in my westerly yacht in november from the south coast of england a miss thay beautiful land scape so much am going up the easy coast and plan to spend the winter up there a live on my boat hate the land and all its complications ur an inspiration ❤❤❤
All that way for 2 hours geez! Visited Kinlock Castle and Rhum years ago - it was only built to last a few years and needs alot of money for upkeep - it was up for sale for quite a while. Love the inner hebrides and the whole west coast of Scotland it's so beautiful (in the sunshine!) Lovely video!
Rum will fix everything, Erik that that shot of whiskey looked interesting. Hope your health is better, seems like you got it under control. best of life Erik..
Your enthusiasm for life is infectious , Erik and I commend you for it! Tusen takk ! My Jockinese brothers have a word for that dismal weather you encountered and that word is Dreich. (rhymes with creek) "dreich an adjective, meaning Bleak, miserable, dismal, cheerless, dreary." Also a discriptor for some of my east coast of Scotland friends who, like that weather, are an acquired taste! Enjoy your whiskey, mate, you`ve earned it ! Slainté! Fair winds big guy .
I like your idea to clean up the front of the boat for the dinghy. It looks to me like a much more practical boat organization for the expedition routine that you are conducting. In weak wind conditions, you are not really using the spinnaker but motoring instead. And when you are using it, it looks like a futile exercise, which makes more work than develops a useful effect. One more time, thank you for sharing your experience. It is a joy to watch, an inspiration, and good stuff for self-reflection, not only on the matter of sailing.
Thanks Erik. As always, your production is smooth, great video. It's so special to be able to see a confident & experienced sailor putting thid stuff out on CZcams. You deserve all tgr success. I'd say Netflix would be foolish not to offer you a contract!
I don’t usually comment videos. But just have to say that you make real quality content. Always watch your videos when I wan’t to calm down and relax. Keep up the good work and I wish you the best!
Masterful production, Erik. A marvelous adventure and a story well told. I like the way you cheer the camera with a shot of whisky. The drone shots are spectacular. I notice you don't film the little pubs and eateries you stop at in these small villages. It would be nice to meet a few locals and see what the menus are like. But, with or without eateries, your work is truly exceptional. Thank you!
Wonderful video as always . You show more natural beauty then I have seen from 'professional' videographers Your Iceland series was just amazing and I can't wait to see what Scotland holds. Also I like you taste in whisky..🥃😄 Fair winds!
Always such awe-inspiring views in your videos! It was actually really neat to see Bara. I remember this being in a movie and loved the scenery (funny in the movie they joked about the weather as well). I remember the castle and views of the town, but really neat to see it in real life (through your videos of course) vs a made for movie. It was also so cool to have the clouds part and the sun out for you to have and share with us the views around Rum. What a Castle and greenery!!! Hope they do the necessary renovations so people can walk through again. Wish you and your family the best and can't wait till next episode!

I like when you speak in 3rd person, telling us what Erik is doing..
Erik, your videos and photography are probably the best on CZcams. It’s always a highlight when you post another clip.
I absolutely agree!
A man, a boat, a drone, and a dream we all have…couldn’t agree more

It was fascinating being with you as you approached Castlebay at relatively high speed in fog, wind and rain. Your sailing skills, use of instruments and a mixture of courage and caution have never been more apparent than in this video.
That wasn't fog, it was low visibility because of the rain. High speed in fog is stupid.
@@waterboy8999 I was going on what Erik said.
@@markbennett9787 don't, he's full of crap. What sort of idiot would put on his merch No bullshit just sailing? He's full of it.

Another beautiful production. Thank you for taking us where we won't sail ourselves.
Your appreciation of the opportunities you have to see wonderful places is infectious.
Yes, Rum was truly spectacular.Looking forward to seeing Scotland as I have some roots there, well done!
