These Journalists get paid by the West to try and elusively paint Imraan khan as having less than absolute conviction and love for his country. The West is so threatened by him . What they don't realise is Pakistani have finally woken up from their slumber and realise no country can thrive if the army is in power. Imraan Khan is by the people, for the people. And to show you the extent he is loved all over the world, we south Africans 🇿🇦 are praying Pakistanis fight for Imraan khan, democracy, and a corrupt free country.

Wow!! This what passes as news at the Guardian
1.) Imran Khan didn’t come to politics after sports, he came to philanthropy.
2.) He was never initially against the military
3.) The military didn’t detain or harass his opponent (outside of Benazir Bhutto). Nawaz Sharif was exposed in the Panama Papers, Asif Zardari in the Contectna Case, both outside of Pakistan.
4.) Divisive? Saying Imran Khan is divisive is like Mandela was divisive.

Sorry a bit more nuance is needed. Khan is ultimately an idealist. He truly wants what's best for the country. But to get into power, he had to play realpolitik, which in Pakistan means no one gets in without the military's tacit support.
Perhaps there was a naivety on his part, that once in power, he'd be able to reform the endemically corrupt institutions, but found himself surrounded by corrupt power players who wouldn't let him move forward and bring in true reform. This, combined with some bad decisions on his part, led to those in the power complex, who realised that he wasn't as easy to control, to kick him out.
But, as an outsider, armed with hindsight, he is now free to call out the miscreants tampering with Pakistan's democracy. By trying to isolate him, they've empowered him - hence the botched assassination attempt.
This is really the endgame for Pakistan which is facing a severe existential crisis - and Imran Khan is it's symbol. If he survives and returns, there is hope. If he is removed (by whatever means), Pakistan could potentially tear apart, based on external and internal pressures, perhaps into fragmented Bantustans (ideal for it's big Eastern Neighbour), ready to be mopped up by other players in the region.
As it stands, he is the only true hope Pakistan has at the moment for much of the disenfranchised population (without vested interests)

The entire massive, humongous and burgeoning machinery of the Pakistani State, including the military, that was too busy to provide election security, is turning over 24/7 for one purpose and one purpose alone: to suppress the wishes of the Pakistani people. The three obstacles in their way are 1) the valiant people, men and women, of Pakistan, 2) the many honorable judges of its judiciary, and 3) a few daring journalists, including Imran Riaz Khan who is reportedly being tortured in ISI custody at this time. This government and this military have no other purpose. None. There is nothing requiring attention, not the runaway inflation, not the crashing economy, not the sinking (and soon to drown) rupee, not the dying industrial infrastructure, and not an imminent default on foreign debt, which has done little for Pakistan except to fund lavish lifestyles for State criminals. Every institution and every instrument of the State are pushing Pakistan to the status of a failed State. What a monumental betrayal of 240 million people unprecedented in history.

Little bit correction,.. The Title of this video is wrong. The title should be,.. Imran Khan, who is the man gathering the whole Pakistan against militant rule.
Imran Khan stands for the equal rule of law, doesn't matter if someone is a Prime Minister or President or Army Chief,.. in front of law all must be equal and answerable. This is his mission.
Imran Khan is the only leader in Pakistan who has single handedly educate the masses about what corruption is and how it has been done for last 30 or 40 years considering media and these so called intellectuals failed to to so, but his wisdom and choice of words were so engaging, and people now understand the process of corruption.
Imran Khan is absolutely clear about his strategy which is so simple and he never wanted to compromise on it even if his life is on the line. Keeping in mind that Pak Establishment is so powerful that they can do anything to stay in power.
I hope, people have understood the message and they will not allow the powerful establishment to do any harm to Imran Khan. If anything happens to Imran Khan, ... it might take years to get another one with similar qualities. Keeping in mind, it took him 27 years of immense struggle to reach at this point at where the whole nation is standing right now.

Imran Khan is a leader deserving of the Nobel Prize for his role in avoiding major war and his commitment to peace, justice, and democracy. He has demonstrated this through his generous act of returning an Indian pilot to India and his efforts to bring India and Pakistan together through open invitations. His act of peace has the potential to make a lasting and positive impact on the region, making him a worthy recipient of the Nobel Prize.
Khan’s efforts to achieve peace, justice and democracy in the Indian subcontinent are deserving of the highest international recognition. His act of returning the Indian pilot to India, and his initiative in trying to bring India and Pakistan together through open invitations, has the potential to bring lasting peace and stability to the region. It is therefore only fitting that Khan be nominated for the Nobel Prize in recognition of his efforts.
