  • Hey everyone, in this video we take out the headlights in the 2019 Ram Rebel and show you the steps it takes to do it the right way, and we explain the reason we tore apart a perfectly good truck for a mod that well we didn't end up putting in after all. So at the end of the day here is how to remove the grille and headlights in the 2019 plus Ram trucks.

    Just hit a Deer a few days ago with my 5th Gen Bighorn 4x4. Lets just say I get new headlights along with an all new front end. As for installing a Light Bar in the nose grill you must FIRST find out if you have a Servo Mounted Front Air Damn (it drops down at 39mph) under the nose that attaches to that section of the grill.

    • @HammerdownMotorsportsUSA
      @HammerdownMotorsportsUSA  Před 3 lety

      Rebels don’t have that and even so where my light bar is it would not be in the way of that

      @@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA I wonder which models do come with the Servo Activated Retractable Air Damn? I saw that Light Bar too and was curious if anyone had installed one yet, to see how it looks.

    to add the hidden lightbar behind the lower grille, you will have to replace the current grille with part number 68334531AD ( if you have the front sensors)

    I agree it should be plug and play no cutting necessary as for the bumper they make an awesome winch light bar combination bumper you should look into

    So, considering you've already torn the front end apart. I'm hoping you will be able to help me with an issue I'm having. I just recently bought a 2019 Ram Rebel, that was unfortunately used, but extremely low mileage and the price was right. I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but when you look down the front of it, there's a decent little gap between the grille and the hump on the bumper. On the passenger side, the gap is correct, but going towards the driver side. The grille gets closer to the bumper. I can take pics or a video and send them to you somehow, but I don't know how to fix this. I was hoping I'd be able to get in touch with someone who's familiar with the 19 Rebel for some help!

    I like all the mods you’ve done on this rebel except what you were trying to do now. I’m a truck driver and I can honestly say that the rebel has one of the brightest led day light running lights on the road. But I’m glad you didn’t cut your headlights

      @@cobymedic with a lot of time, a steady hand and a Dremel tool possibly could have modified the original. Not worth the effort in my opinion. Swapping was not hard just a bunch of plastic clips and the two sensors mounted in it. I did it without removing anything just reached up from under.

    I'm simply trying to find a good video that explains how to take off the grille. I'm attempting to install amber lights in the grille and I need to remove it so I have space to work but it is extremely difficult. Is it absolutely necessary that the white plastic piece pop off? I've tried and don't want to break anything.

    Great videos and I'm trying to get through them all. I am at a bit of a crossroads however. I really like the new Ram and am between that and getting something used for the time being just because I need something just a bit bigger. I have a 2010 Tacoma which has been great but I have three kids now and need to tow a boat which the truck can do but with protest. The issue is what to do next. I can get a brand new Ram and keep it for a long time, but it's expensive or I can get something full sized and used but it's $20k plus less. How much do you like the new Ram versus getting something a few years older is you were to keep the truck, as I have, for the next 10 years? Can you justify getting the new truck or getting something a few years old but has worked through a bit of its depreciation?
