Well, I got 95% of this video. My skills are improving! I noticed when I started re-watching Gntama that I understand a lot of the show as well now.
Language learning is strange because it does not often feel as though you are making progress more times than not. But occasionally something happens and it is like an epiphany.
Same for me, I started immersing myself a couple of months ago, while I knew a lot of words I couldn't understand even the most basic sentences. I definitely don't understand everything now, but I have improved massively without even really noticing
Thats so cool! Ive been trying to study as much Japanese as I can from here in the US. I'm doing a pretty decent job at picking up Kanji, reading, grammar etc, but what would you suggest for listening comprehension? I'd love to be able to watch something like this and understand 95% too! Any recommendations on sharpening listening comp?
The cleanliness of Japanese rooms always makes me feel happy
the only exception is shinjuku at night lmfao i had a rat cross my waitor's foot and he did not even blink llol
Hello, just wanted to say thank you so much for these amazing listening practice videos! I’ve been studying Japanese in Japan for 7 months or so but soon I have to go back to England. I can understand a decent amount but movies and things are too fast and difficult to understand, so these videos are absolutely perfect for me seeing as I will no longer be exposed to hearing Japanese as much. Please please keep making them if you can and I will watch every time!
Three weeks ago, when I first watched this, I only understood around 30% of it; three weeks later (now), I am up to 80-90%. It constantly amazes me because even when I don't feel like I'm progressing, a few weeks later, when I watch a video I didn't understand, I can see that I've made progress and realize how much easier it is now. Let's continue the path into fluency! I appreciate your videos! ♥
That’s so inspiring! Keep up the good work!
Would you mind sharing your Japanese studying method and frequency?
@@sakurachaan972 Hi,
I learned Hiragana and Katakana and then watched "Comprehensible Japanese" on CZcams, including "NihonGo Learning".
These both alone give you over 100 videos and therefore over 2000-4000 Words to memorize.
I also love to listen to "naru 💫日本語の先生" on CZcams as well as Daily Japanese with Naoko.
Right now I'm learning through Videogames and Mangas.
I do 50 Kanjis a day (Few new, rest is repeats) from RRTK, 1 chapter of Manga (Yotsuba right now) and 3 Videos of my choice (I'm watching Japanese Let's plays - Right now I'm watching: mkのゲーム実況ch
Search for him on CZcams, he's explaining everything he does numerous times and speaks clearly.
I also love to watch "Game gengo" on CZcams. He's Explaining Grammar, Vocabs and even JLPT related stuff through videogames.
I therefore do: "Kanji, 1 chapter of Manga, 3 videos of letsplays / animes" per day, so roundabout 2-3 hours a day related to Japanese.
And it helps :)
I actually just watched Godzilla Minus One the day before you posted this! I thought it was really interesting, and it was helpful for practicing with listening to Japanese. Not only that, I'm very interested in history, and a lot of what was portrayed of post-war Japan is something we don't discuss much nowadays.
My father got into the U.S. Navy in 1946. He was in the Pacific on a Sea going Tug. He taught me his great appreciation for the Japanese people. He said he was happy to give his Red Cross packages to Japanese people, because they were starving. When his ship docked in Japan, the ships dog would run onto the dock, and so many Japanese men chased the dog with knives in there hands. I asked why. Father said, if they caught the dog, it was a meal. Father never said a bad thing about the Japanese people. He taught me never to hate anyone.
2024 seems to be a rough start. I hope that the rest of this year will be a good one sensei, I also pray and hope that the people, especially in Ishikawa prefecture will get through this and come back stronger.
Too many things happened at the beginning of the year.
Thank you, GK-san!
Thank you for putting the subtitles at the top! It's such a thoughtful and helpful design choice.
Im about to move with my family to Japan. Your videos help me so much with the language....thank you so much
Thank you for making videos !
すごい❤❤❤ so clear voice ☺️
Love your videos!
So happy you and everyone you know are well. I did worry about the Earth quake. I live in Ohio so the only quake I ever felt was a 5 on what ever scale is used. I just thought a big truck drove past my house. Thank You so much. I have seen posts by who I subscribe to in Japan so I know they are well. It will only get better? 🤞🌸🌹
Today is my 8th day learning japanese, i'd be lucky if I understood 5% of it haha. Can't wait to keep learning and come back to this video and understand it all!!! Thanks for these types of videos they are very helpful!!
Waw. This voice is amazing. Thank you so much. What a pleasure to hear you. I am trying to learn japanese ❤
Your voice is so soothing. Because your Japanese pronunciation is slow, it is easy to understand. Thank you.
10 years before i was lived in japan...today i watched your vidio ..and rememberd all of memeries ..like to come again ...
It's a very nostalgic video for me. I had been to Shinjuku, Meiji Jingu and Yoyogi Park 15 years ago. Very happy to see those places again. Your descriptions about culture, customs, etc are interesting. Surprised to hear about Omake. In most of the countries we do the opposite - tip. I need to watch it again to improve my hearing skills. Thanks for the wonderful video.
Excellent. Thank you

I think I'm addicted to watching your videos, because when I watch your videos, I don't want to watch anything else..You have got an amazing voice.
Thank you for a wonderful video! I only understood about 10% and about 30% I understood just based on visual context. I need to practice much harder!
Send to my friends. Remember that all difficulties are temporary. Life has its ups and downs, but nothing is permanent. Remember that all difficulties will pass and you will grow from those experiences.
Love support Japan from Nagaland 🥺😊❤❤

Olá Professora!
Consegui aprender katakana.
Hello teacher!
I got the katakana alphabet..
Happy New Year, teacher. Movie theaters are very expensive in Japan. I just watch Netflix at home because it's so expensive
GOT IT!! I understand 80% ish which to my surprise. I don’t know it’s because sensei (you) speaks some common words or maybe i am improving..but one thing for sure, i understand it!! KEEP DOING IT ITS REALLY REALLY USEFUL.
Question: When sensei want to go someplace/somewhere, why did sensei use particle に instead of へ?

11:25 wow. i guess it is "just how it's done" but the cashier actually intentionally made them search for the 3 yen (took 5 seconds + whatever was cut), and took the 3 yen into her hands before awkwardly returning the 3 yen, instead of just verbally waving off the 3 yen and saving the time.
(a little bit late... okay, a lot late).
very good
I saw Godzilla Minus One two weeks ago. I enjoyed it. I understood .03% of what was being said 😅.
I dont see many japanese films, but one thing that stood out to me was how the main male actor cried in the movie. It was very dramatic and loud, like he was screaming. Is this how Japanese men usually cry? It is very different to the more subdued sobs of Western men.
I don't usually see Japanese men cry, so I'm not sure. However, he was suffering from PTSD, so he could cry in anyway, I guess.
It is rare for most men to cry like that. XD
Part of it is Japanese films like to dramatize scenes heavily. This maybe be due to influences from Kabuki theater but I am not sure.
It was an amazing film though. I was lucky enough to see it on release day here in Japan. A literal dream come true for me.
@@guitarsaremyfriendzzz7077 good points. Thank you. That would be cool to see there!
Like another comment said. It was done more for drama than anything. But also by that point in the story the guy had lost almost everything. So was just mentally done at that point.
So sweet your video and work! Thanks so much! What was the name of the sushi belt?
Thank you! The sushi belt is called Kaitenzushi, and the name of the Kaitenzushi shop is ”Sakurazushi”😄
😊I really like your videos, just out of curiosity since you headed to Tokyo so early in the morning ( at least for my standards) I was wondering If you waited for the stroke of midnight the night before or went to sleep early.ln my country usually,it is customary to wait for midnight to celebrate the new year and then wake up a little later the next morning .
Thank you, Max-san, for your support!
There's a bonus footage at the very end of this video after 今日の単語(Today's words) at 13:07. You'll see what we did at 12 am on New Year's Day. Usually, people wait until midnight and say "あけましておめでとう" to each other, then go to bed.
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally It is always nice to see what people from other countries do in various countries , where I live people go to church on Christmas morning and have a hearty dinner on new year eve around midnight, then especially young people celebrate all night long until morning going clubbing I think young people in Japan do that too

Godzilla Minus One is, for me, one of the greatest films of all time.
