Man. Thor started out serious and got comedic. Ant-man started out comedic and got more and more respectable.
A great trailer. I hope that Scott Lang survives this movie. And he fights in Avengers Secret Wars.🖖
Thor is still respectable tho.
His arc was from a Guy dude muscles defeat villain arc to a Father arc.
And Antman was a criminal arc to Father arc.
Thats the message of these two movies.
@@anti-sjwandsjwannoysme6603 yeah, but the Thor-becomes-a-father arc looked and played out like a direct-to-dvd Spy Kids knock-off that you'll only ever find in the bin next to the cash at the dollar store.. Complete waste of everyone's time, talent and money.
Let's be real their has always been more real actors in ant man than thor aa the lead characters were shared. Thor focused to much on one person instead of a whole cast storyline. Thor should have included Anthony Hopkins character more

Even if the movie wasn’t that good you have to admit this was easily one of marvels best trailers

Well to be fair it's one of Marvel's many talents, make the trailers look good.
The movie was good, but not what I was expecting
The movie is actually good. Dunno what you guys talkin about
this is literally the second best trailer from marvel, after spider-man no way home
The plot teased in this trailer was so much better than the actual film. I kept waiting for the part about Kang offering Scott a chance to go back and do things over so that he didn't miss so much time with Cassie, but it never freaking happened. The story desperately needed it.
But, he did. Hw did you miss that. He offered it in exchange for him getting the core.
No he was going to kill her, he held her hostage, I don't believe he ever said you could get a second chance

Rewatched this trailer and said "This could've been a materpiece"
False advertising big time
logan6262 Don’t get me wrong, I personally feel like this movie gets A BIT too much hate. There’s definitely MCU movies out there that I’ve thought are worse or disliked more for varying reasons. However, the point of your comment absolutely applies. When the ORIGINAL plot leak came out that had Kang escaping the QR while everyone else was trapped, combined with this trailers release, I truly thought this would’ve been a peak MCU film. But then for whatever reason they reshot the films ending in January (and we know that cuz of leaked set photos that match up perfectly with the ending and Cassie’s party) and the rest is history. It’s unfortunately okay at best, when it should’ve ended up being a universally recognized top 10 MCU film. Granted I don’t think the ending change fixes all its problems, as the conflicting tonal issues likely still would’ve been a factor. But at least then we would’ve felt the stakes and consequences of what happened more immediately
@@rileyribble6733 The real problem with this film is the atmosphere of the film. He was supposed to be menacing, but they didn't show any of the menace that Kang made him feel in this trailer. If I could, I would write Kang's storyline because I'm sure I know what the fans need. Kang must be very powerful and not be a weak hero like Antman who completes his journey. I think it could make Kang super powerful if they allowed Kang to kill Thanos. Like, they show us Kang completely taking over his technology while being totally satisfied so they decide to go back to the past or to a time stream where Thanos would be alive with all the infinity stones. And Kang wants to test all his power by killing him. This would give more credit to the character in my opinion...
Imagine the Trailer being better than the Movie

Bro why did this trailer make it seem the movie was gonna be a super intense, serious and emotion filled marvel movie. Swear to god nowadays marvel trailer are better than the final products
Yeah, the people who edited and made this trailer deceived us into thinking this was really gonna be a great threequel.
Another example of the trailer being better than the movie itself.

Just like Security Breach when it was first released
It's the person who wrote it. Jeff Loveness.
I hope in another universe This movie one of the best movies of marvel. Jonathan never fired
And marvel never went to disney+.

What's wrong with Disney+?
Man. Thor started out serious and got comedic. Ant-Man started out comedic and got more and more respectable.
Edit: Aight. I left for an hour and this blew up. Lol. Anyways.
Edit 2: I see that my original comment has been misconstrued. What I meant was simply in reference to the character arcs for Thor and Ant-Man. I find it fascinating how different Thor is in his solo film and The Avengers movies (minus Infinity War, Endgame) and then in the other Thor films. But Scott Lang progressively matures and still maintains his "funny guy" edge. From Ant-Man, to Civil War, to Endgame.

Re-watching this trailer after seeing the movie is upsetting. A storyline about Ant-man making a deal with Kang to get back the time he lost with Cassie is such a more interesting and emotional movie than the one that we got.
It isn't in character at all though
It was literally the same thing tho? It was far better than what the "trailers" showed
@@captainsprinkles6557it is if kang is seen as a good guy at first
@@rivalflash4569 Everyone and their grandmother will see the plot twist coming. I mean Kang has been set up as this evil dude for the past 2 years. Scott would’ve been ridiculed by the internet if that happened.
He did, though. That's why he went to get the thing in the first place. Then, he found out what he would DO with it. The story never changed. Kang changed the deal.
The fact that Quantumania initial drafts were super serious story with consequences and this trailer shows that.
I bet if they stick to that script this movie would be a 5/5 star.
I like the role reversal here. In Endgame, Scott was gone for five years and needed to be caught up on the current situation. Now it seems like he and Loki are the ones who are gonna be warning everyone what's coming

Originally, Scott saying in Endgame "So is Back to the Future just a bunch of bullshit?" being my favorite line from him. But him saying here "I don't have to win. We both just have to lose." is now my favorite line from him. Those are the words of a true hero. It's reminds me of when Tony told Steve they would lose and Steve said they would do that together. I wonder if Scott will have a line similar in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
I hate how the trailer pitches a different movie that didn't happen, Scott wants more time with his daughter to be a better father and Kang offers him a deal to do so and the rest is Scott dealing with the repercussions. This was a super interesting pitch that i was excited to see... Meanwhile the actual movie is all about Janet while Kang forces Scott to help him by strong arming him - just an ordinary villain doing ordinary villain things. Many major lines from this trailer aren't even in the movie. Movie was still okay, but it would've been better with its original pitch.
I stopped watching trailers about 5 years ago - changed the way I experience movies. Loved this movie and now coming in to see the trailer after the fact. So much would have been spoiled with the trailer (or lead to think something different). Try it on the next big movie - avoid the trailer.

But it won't be a battle he can win or probably escape.... only thing I feel like he may do, delay and lose but not without making Kang lose something
@@marclestrange 🤓
I will watch ANYTHING Johnathan Majors is in. Even if it’s Marvel, which is sooo not my thing. I believe he’s the best actor in film today. He’s such a good actor he’s hypnotic! Please please please keep his career alive because I can’t get enough of his talent! This level of acting comes along once in a decade!
Honestly this plotline is good to get in on. If you havent already, watching the Loki series would give good context about somethings that happen. Make sure you watch to the very end of the movie too!! ❤ welcome to the fandom. 😊
Wow a marvel movie actually WORTH the intro title card since endgame. Worth the watch absolutely loved the world building and imagination
Theres were a lot of movies after endgame worth watching.
@@liplip-yr8vx ms marvel? Thor love n thunder? Multiverse of madness? Yeah no. All garbage imo
@@TheV8Pumpkin those were decent movies. Also shang chi, black panther, and no way home to.
@@TheV8Pumpkin eternals was visually the best movie of phase 4 , doctor strange also had a great directing style. Maybe just you don't like Sam raimi. And yeah , it live up to its title. It had multiverse (27 universes)with 616 and 818 not included. And madness also you can pretty much see how wanda was being in a state of madness . can't forget Shang chi , it had the best story (movie)in enterity of phase 4.series were also good. Loki was the most important for the future and most people (along with me)liked it. I LOVED it. Moon knight was the best origin story since captain America the first Avenger. It also has the best bgm in years.
there’s a lot of stuff worth it afyer endgame black panther 2 shang chi wwbn gotghs ms marvel moonknight and more
Yes. More of this please. No unnecessary forced jokes. Serious, down to business, emotional. Love it.
They're hiding MODOK and Bill Murray. It's gonna be in there. Lots of forced Boomer humor.
Yes 👍🏻 exactly 100%
I disagree. Part of the reason why Marvel studios has been so successful is because of blended approach of having emotion, comedy, action that all feel like they belong in the movie.
Infinity war and End game are the perfect examples.
Sure Thor war and thunder was a bummer but don't forget, people loved the comic approach of Thor Ragnarok.
Too much seriousness is a thing of DC universe which are much more darker in their depiction of superhero adventures.
@@DanishSudan I agree. And this one does have thay humor. It's shown in the previous trailer.
What I meant was it doesn't seem like love and thunder where forced jokes ruin the story send emotions of the film.
@@DanishSudan Yeah, Marvel studios hasn't been successful because they have a monopoly on superheroes (besides Batman and Superman), it's because they made Ultron a stand-up comedian.
I am actually filled with goosebumps. This film might be the last time we see Ant-Man, and Kang begin his rule on the world. The end of a legend, the beginning of a dynasty.
Ant-Man is love💚
Ant-Man was resigned the contract goes throughout the Kang dynasty, he's not going anywhere. But he's gonna take a beating and a Massive loss.
With Kang introduction there's the whole multiverse fiasco meaning there's more Ant-Man to be seen even if he's killed in this one.
@@DoomVonVictorand possibly have PTSD like Tony did from the Battle of New York?????
he will survive. I searched up Avengers Kangs Dynasty and Ant Man is there.
I just rewatched Quantumania again. I noticed in Act 3, the Wasp was blasting through many Kang's spaceships by flying through them to help Giant-man (Ant-man). I didn't know the Wasp could go binary like Captain Marvel, that's pretty awesome.
I think it's because of the wings.
@@joseavilasg Pretty amazing she could fly through spaceships as a weapon. She has to be in human size too flying through them and flying next to Giant-Man. And when she later came back through the portal to save Scott from Kang, she's in human size too as the Wasp blasting Kang.
@@furbl4345 Yes. That's what happened.
This trailer was way better than the actual movie itself
FINALLY, something to make us feel for the MCU again!
What's MCU?
The MCU did in fact learn from their mistakes
@@markjudemaata marvel cinematic universeeee

You guys don't feel
“I’m sorry Cassie” gave me goosebumps! 😢😩 Now I’m ready for this!
feeling bad for ant-man now
It’s ok, she will be apart of the young Avengers after taking Antmans place.
The peak of Marvel is infinity War and Endgame.
Majors narration was on point .
Yea the tape they played in court was just bonkers.
“I don’t have to win… we both just have to lose” That line gave me chills. I’m so hyped for this movie
Oh, I immediately thought “sever the nerve”
Suletta Mercury: NO, you DO NOT! ( PALMSLAP ) Come to save you, Scott!!! ( smile with bloody hands )
Also Suletta Mercury : Happy birthday to you...
Yeah and they just basically gave away the whole movie and ending in the trailer lol
Are you 11
But is Scott able to lose again and again and...huh, why does that sound familiar?
You know I love how the first trailer had the style of the first two movies, but this one shows just how serious the plot is getting
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. T'was fun while lasted.
I'm actually scared for Scotts's safety, no, for his EXISTENCE.
Trailer is wayyy better than the movie. Such a shame. Trailer actually looked like it would have a good storyline and some interesting visuals
Iron Man 3 - Tony loses his armors (built another one before age of Ultron)
Captain America Civil War - Steve loses and abandons his shield (till Tony gave it back to him in Endgame)
Thor Ragnarok - Thor loses his hammer (ends up using it again at the end Love and Thunder), Asgard, temporarily his hair (grew back in Endgame) and right eye (got another one from Rocket), his father, his Warrior 3 friends
Avengers Infinity War: everyone lost half of the universe (until they were brought back by the end of Endgame)
Spider-Man No Way Home: Peter loses his aunt (to death) and everything (his relationships with everyone)
Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania - Scott didn’t lose anything but his helmet gets briefly broken while dueling Kang before defeating him
While a bunch of people are talking about the cool visuals and Kang, I’m loving Scott’s character motivation here. The idea of lost time is something that’s been with the character since his first appearance in the MCU. Losing years of his life, years with his daughter, to prison was bad enough, but then to lose five years during the Blip just made things so much worse. It’s easy to see how Kang could manipulate that, and how this can result in a satisfying character arc for Scott, not only for this movie, but for the whole franchise to date.
I’m not sure whether this was intentional from the get-go, or whether it was just making the most of plot points from previous movies, but either way, it’s coming together nicely.
I'm loving the way you broke that down. There wasn't a single joke in the trailer either, which is interesting for the modern mcu.. it would appear that they mean serious business with this one and I'm 100% here for it.
He lost way too much time. Lost time w/ his daughter when he got locked up. Lost more time when the snap happened, she went from a young girl to a high school about to go to college right before his eyes.
Interestingly enough, Coogler's original plan for black panther 2 had Chad been alive was T'Challa dealing with the 5 years he lost and then having to deal with Namor in the middle of all that mess. That sounded like an emotionally heavy film too which I guess we were not destined to see
@@muffinman3052 Im quite sure that its because mostly about Kang. He is the next Big Bad after Thanos. And that purple guy didnt had any comedic tone
He's doing all this just to get 5 years back? Dumb
"I don't have to win. We both just have to lose"
Those few words sent shivers down my spine
Bro please don’t kill this man off
Very much reminds me of hickmans FF with Valeria telling Reed it isn't about trying to find a way to win. It's about trying to find a way not to lose.
me too brother me too
I just hope they don’t kill my favorite character
@@Charcoaledmarmalade he will die actually
I come back just to watch this masterpiece trailer.
Jonathan Majors stole the show as Kang the Conqueror!! 🔥
While many have underestimated him, Scott has proved time and time again that he is no “small” hero. Something tells me that he’ll surprise everyone yet again in this film. Really hyped!!
I hope so bro, hopefully he has something up his sleeve 🙏
Same I don't think he's dying here, the arc he's on seems to be about accepting the time he's lost and moving forward to stay in Cassie's Life. So when he says that badass line I think what he's losing is what he went to Kang for. He's losing that chance to get all that time back by destroying whatever is the key to getting Kang out of the Quantum realm. Of course I could be totally wrong about this but that's the vibe I'm getting, you don't need to kill Scott to have him lose. Although I do think we are losing someone in this movie and that's Hank.
Yes the way he entered into the quantum realm and made a comeback he was the one who actually brought everyone back. This movie seems to bring back Marvel's soul
He dies at the end of this film
"Time" and "time" "again".... we saw what you did there.
"I don't have to win, We Both just have to lose."
That line right there says it all, a Hero who's willingly to sacrifice everything for the greater good. A TRUE Avenger!
doctor strange
Iron man bruh
Evokes memories of "Dormamu, I've come to bargain"
Something tells me that somebody is gonna die
Just please don’t kill off Ant-Man Marvel 🙏🏻
Kang stole the show 🙌🔥🔥
How the Trailer better than the entire movie
Not gonna lie, I'm actually shocked they're making Antman a very serious movie now. I like it! 👍🏽
Is just for the trailer, remenber age of ultron had dark tone trailers too
You're right, esp. since Thor went from serious to campy, a clever reversal for Ant Man to go from campy to serious.
@@cheswajda9803 Thor was always campy lol he was the original comedic relief of the team before Guardians of the Galaxy were introduced
