    Just got a RAV4 Prime a few weeks ago and I love the ideas I’m getting from you channel to add some personal touches!

    Thumbs up, I installed mine 2 weeks ago. I also installed yellow film over the fogs.

    Unfortunately my ‘22 XLE has a different grill so it’s going to be a little bit more work

    Hmmm….meh…coming from owning BMWs, it’s like putting the M badge on a non-M car…I guess it’s more of a question than a comment…I think it does look good and adds a little flair to the all black grill, but do TRD Toyota owners look down on those who add TRD logos, etc… to their non TRD Toyota? My last Toyota was a 1986 Corolla 5speed 4 door, so no TRD model available!!! LOL

    Hi! Quick question, I have Onboard 3.3KW charger on my Prime. I was wondering if it would work on 240V outlet?

    • @EVDude
      @EVDude  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes it will. If you use a level 2 charger with 240V and 16A it'll be faster than 120V. Instead of 12 hours on 120V it'll be around 4.5 hours on 240V

    Hi there. How to use the Plug AC120v on (rav4 prime), mine isn’t working. Can you give me some tips Thankyou in advance :)

      It's really hard to help without knowing the symptoms. What doesn't work? When you plug it in nothing happens?

      Urely guessing here, since I had problems charging mine at first. In my case, the circuit with the 120v outlet I was using also powered several other things. I could start charging, but the circuit breaker would trip within 5 minutes.
      I solved the problem by having an electrician install a new dedicated 20A , 120v circuit for a new outlet in my garage. At the same time, I got a new 50A, 240v circuit installed for level 2 charging (once I get a level 2 charger).
      There is one other option though with no expense. You can reduce the charge rate (amps) pulled by the car. I believe instructions for this adjustment can be found in the owner’s manual. It will mean longer charging times though.

    What does the badge represent?

    • @EVDude
      @EVDude  Před 3 lety

      The tricolor (Yellow orange red) refers to the TRD (Toyota Racing Development) times. It used to be displayed on Toyota's racing trucks in the 80s O believe. Now there are different colors to match everyone's preferences.

    But congrats on the people who step out of their comfort zone for their first "mod" if you wanna call it that
