  • As promised, here is part two for your viewing pleasure! As a recap from part one, my late teacher Ted Greene turned me on to Scotty, who is an awesome guitar player, as you will soon witness for yourself. In 1986, Ted gave me an incredible VHS tape of Scotty Anderson playing at the NAMM show that year. It is STILL a WOW experience for me! Like all VHS tapes, being of magnetic nature , degrades over time. My goal is to preserve this great video, archiving it into three parts and share it with my subscribers. If you haven’t yet subscribed, please do so. Yes, there’s much more exciting content coming.
Here in part two, Scotty is playing his electric chicken-pickin’ set at the ALL LICKS, I mean, ALLPARTS booth, promoting a guitar built entirely of parts from that business. There is less light here and I am not real keen on the tone of the small unknown amp these two talented guitarists are plugged into, but Scotty’s chops still shines through.
Again, I need YOUR HELP! I am creating a song list of three Scotty plays here and need song titles. I will update them as they become available. I need all three! ALSO, if you know the name of the other guitarist in the booth, I’m would like to post his name and give him a shout out! Scotty? I will update this as time permits until all the missing info gets filled in and becomes complete. Consider this a work in progress!

"Scotty Anderson ... he is so exciting to listen to, even more to watch, has a 'million' ideas and leaves other guitar players shaking their heads in disbelief ... If he's not one of the greatest guitar players in the world, nobody is." Ted Greene interview (Just Jazz Guitar magazine, Issue #23, May 2000, page 61)

Great playing Scotty always brings it. Since old blurry footage looks like he is playing a slightly fan fretted guitar lol Thanks for sharing ;-)
