    Amazing review Shaheel and Ali! Loved the "Expired Generation" joke there 🤣.
    Ali I have a quick question for you, I get your point that the used Civic is a much better option than this City, in this price range but what about the fuel consumption? Don't you think the City has a much better fuel average? What about the 1.2 CVT variant? Have you guys reviewed that as well?
    One last thing, please tell us about the sound system as well when reviewing the cars. I wanted to know about Aspire's sound system but you forgot to show the demo or talk about its sound in detail.

      My personal preference would be a Civic over City because for me a good drive is more important than fuel consumption difference. We have not yet reviewed the 1.2 but will soon do that hopefully

    Greetings from India 🇮🇳 gentlemen. The Honda City ( Sold in India 🇮🇳 between 2014 - 2019 ) featured in this video 📹 was the base variant of the 6th generation Honda City ( minus the infotainment system ). We had rear AC vents on all variants ( V, VX , Z and ZX ). We had six airbags, ABS, EBD, VSC, traction control system, self-levelling suspension, reverse parking sensors, Driver's and front passenger seat belt reminder chime, child seat 💺anchorage ( isofix ) and alloy wheels ( 15 inches shod with 195/80/R15 on the V and VX and 16 inches shod with 195/65/R16 on the Z and ZX ) standard on all variants. The higher Z and ZX variant was equipped with sunroof, front ventilated leather seats and perforated rear seats, lower profile bigger tyres ( 16 inches alloy ), parking camera and sensors and much more. The 6th generation of the Pakistani 🇵🇰 Honda City featured in this video is the mix of pre face-lift and midlife face-lifted variant of the 6th generation, like tail lamp ( halogens ) and basic halogen headlamps to give a few examples. I'm posting 📫the link for the 2017 midlife face-lifted 6th generation of the Honda City for fair comparison. czcams.com/video/yzNHuT3YKBs/video.html P. S. We have BS6 1.5 ltr. Petrol and diesel engines only. All cars in this segment do. And as you rightly mentioned The Honda Jazz ( Fit ) hatchback in India comes equipped with an BS6 1.2 ltr petrol engine and an BS6 1.5 ltr diesel engine in India and in the international markets. I'm also posting the link for the 7th generation of the Honda City which was launched on the end of 2019. czcams.com/video/ZI0w6izG744/video.html . You both have a good 👍 one. Cheers.

    21:50 My opinion is:
    If option of 0 meter car I prefer 1.6 Altis X. Because there is segment difference between city and altis, Corolla models don't have any faults, parts are cheaper and have excellent resale.
    If option of used car so Ali bhai and my opinion are similar.

    • @1999myself1
      @1999myself1 Před 2 lety +9

      Altis has literally zero features. Sirf thori si width achi hai bas aur kuch b nahi h usme. Na smart entry na push start na cruise control na DRL na rear ac vents na auto climate control na CVT na retractable mirrors na eco mode. Aap race b dekh len this city easily beats 1.6 in acceleration as well. City ka rear legroom utna hi hai, aur boot space zyada hai.

    • @UsmanSheikhVEVO
      @UsmanSheikhVEVO Před 2 lety

      Exactly segment segment hi hota bhai, ye City, Yaris global platform ki gariyan nahi hain, ye bs ASEAN regions mein sale hoti ya maximum latin america mein
      inhy european ya north american NCAP ko comply nahi karna parrta is liye features zyada hony k bawajood in mein koi safety ya mazbooti nahi ha.
      Baqi jo log features k liye segment down karty, bhai sahb alto ags mein retractable mirrors b hain.

    • @1999myself1
      @1999myself1 Před 2 lety +3

      @@UsmanSheikhVEVO pehli baat, city is tested by japanese. do u not trust japanese safety? also, yaris and unbelievable sales in US, UK and europe and gulf countries and japan and malaysia etc. safety wali baat aapki koi weight ni rakhti.
      secondly, alto me retractable mirrors wali baat, is tra toh altis na len aap audi a4 lelen. size category aik hi to hai

    • @UsmanSheikhVEVO
      @UsmanSheikhVEVO Před 2 lety

      @Heem
      Bhai pehly correction lo, sirf width nahi, 11th gen corolla ki leg space bhi 6th city sy 100mm lambi ha.
      Yaris or city mein bs 50mm ka difference ha and in practical terms it brings a huge difference but u ignored another 100mm corolla has over city 6th gen? Kamal ha.
      Dusri baat k which countries are part of ASEAN, go read up on it. it is "ASEAN" not "Asia"
      3rd USA and UK mein Yaris Hatch jisy japan mein vitz kehty, Yaris sedan in USA is a rebadged Mazda 2.
      Jo yaris sedan Pakistan, India, Indonesia or Thai mein aa rahi ye separate platform ha bhai. Ye to latin ncap b pass ne kar saki, abhi last month hi results publish hue hain.
      You are asking me whether I trust Japanese Safety? Well I do if the models pass major markets yes. If the model was originally designed just for ASEAN markets then I have my doubts.
      JDM cars are a subset of vehicles produced by Japanese vehicle manufacturers., USDM, EUDM are produced by same manufacturers but on different standards. Corolla is a platform that is successful worldwide so yeah my trust is on strength of corolla.
      Mery paas 2020 city ha bhai, rear end hui thi, corolla waly ny maari, us ka bumper compound hua, meri city par dekhny mein bilkul minor sa dent the boot lid par near keyhole, bumper ka paint tak unscratched. Lekin jab bumper. Utara to nazar aya k sparewheel well ka laddu ban gya hua ha. Matlab metal sheet itni patli k plastic ka bumper us sy zyada impact seh sakta. 😂 Ye feb ki baat ha phir ma ny corolla book karwa di thi. Wasy city abhi paas hi ha, chassis or trunk subframe repair kara diya, boot lid ka dent wasy hi ha. But ma baaz hi hu ab city ki safety par trust karny sy.
      Gari ki achi handling aap ki apni galti bacha sakti (e.g. speeding, cutting)
      Par gari ki mazbooti ap ko dusry ki galti sy b bachati ha.
      4th
      ye har ek ki apni preference ha k wo features kharidta ya segment, my reply was in agreement to original comment. Retractable mirror wali baat is liye ki k 660cc hatch par jao to city sy b zyada features mil jaaty.
      I agree with original commenter k segment drop nahi karna chaheay, baqi aap A4 ka keh rahy, agar A6 base vs A4 with a few optional packages ho to bhi A4, A6 sy nechy hi rehti ha.

    I think in your final verdict, u may compare it with altis 1.6 as an option because both fall in the same price bracket. So for me, I would rather opt for a brand new altis 1.6 over this city or a used civic. What's your take on this?

    • @BBOverDrive
      @BBOverDrive  Před 2 lety +11

      Yes, although they’re not in the same category but there are 2 main factors to consider.
      1. Toyota is likely to introduce its new generation of Corolla in 2022.
      2. Whilst Corolla is better for carrying more people, City has better fuel efficiency, as new City has CVT whereas Corolla Altis 1.6 has 4-Speed ECT.

    • @mehsummughal

    • @raoimran491
      @raoimran491 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BBOverDrive But pls bear in mind that this so called "new" city is also a generation behind plus the new generation Corolla in Pakistan is definitely going to be a hybrid one hence will be way beyond the current price tags of Corolla.
      Btw don't u think BRV should also be a consideration for someone considering to buy this city, as there's a very little difference in price but the utility it offers is way more?

    Recently bough 1.5 aspire, honestly despite the relative high price plus old gen expectation, it has shown great performance mashAllah.
    Things which are missing are sunroof + TC and VSC in features. Overall build quality is decent and def not bad in terms of Pakistani locally built model. Handling and suspension are much above expectations. Plus points over yaris/Alswin would be cabin size, trunk size, resale, parts and certain features.
    Overall best option for 0 meter (Altis 1.6 is only better if you can compromise on features and it costs a little bit more, werna it is def one segment up so naturally more preferred)
    If you can opt for used then Civic X/Grace would be better option however both cost atleast 2-2.5 lacs to up more. (City aspire is 32.3 lac with registration, civic x 2017 avearages 34.5 +- nowadays

    Nice review! Please check cabin noise insulation with Ac/heater/fan/music turned off. That is what all vehicle manufacturers do. Secondly, please keep in mind that there are several formulas for checking decibels. Please read up on the specific scale that is used globally to measure it in vehicles. I am pretty sure you can download the relevant meter from the net. It is simply impossible for a Toyota Corolla to have 89 dB or Alto to have 99.3 dB noise at 60km/h speed!

    • @BBOverDrive
      @BBOverDrive  Před 2 lety +1

      We use Z-frequency weighting for the measurement of Decibels. This is the actual noise that is made with no weighting for human ear. We want to give a realistic comparison therefore all cars have their a/c or heaters turned on.

    • @AizadSayid
      @AizadSayid Před 2 lety

      @@BBOverDrive I am afraid that this is not the globally accepted industry standard for assessment purposes! You'll end up with almost the same ratings for all cars. S class and 7 series are close to 63 decibels @100km/h nowadays while small sedans with uncontrolled NVH are in early to mid 70 db @100km/h speed.

      If u want more spacious cabin and better looking car go for city. I own both cars (cvt variants) drive wise both are almost same. City feels a bit more clumsy but feels more premium. City's back seat has more space then even Corolla. This generation is very successful and still being sold along with next generation in India. Yaris with more options was altogether discontinued in India.
