    When I was stressed out or burn out , I did hotel stay a couple of days . Staying at home all the time / working at home could be so stressful ! Highly recommend it!

      Burnouts can be really stressful but I try not to go hard on myself and give myself time, sometimes a long nap and binge watching shows seem healthy to me but to know my limits for them I challange myself and set tasks that are supposed to be done noo matter what and go accordingly!

    Your videos always scream *_AUTHENTICITY_* . And probably that's why you have lots of people supporting you. Therapy isn't always linear just like how healing is. It allows us to embrace not just the good but the bad too. Burnouts on the other hand, can be very tricky. First thing I try to do is to avoid anything negative. Second is, I just allow my body to feel it. Because it is normal. I lay down, rest, sleep, cry, read a book, maybe watch a movie (or not)... just allowing my body to recover. Third is being able to say "no" sometimes is important.
    Honestly watching you grow, I would say you're doing pretty well handling burnouts. Hope you're doing better these days! Stay safe!

    I've just recovered from a burnout. I am a fresh grad reviewing for a license. Everything is so difficult because of the pandemic, new normal, and transition in life. I was so anxious if I was doing anything right, and one night, my mind was too exhausted to handle everything, so I was crying uncontrollably. I let everything out, and I felt my weakness. After that, my mind was clearer. A good cry is a must. Don't be afraid to let it out. It will help you breath from the heaviness of your thoughts.
    I also want to tell you that you have the power to change anything in your life; the choices are yours, the decisions are yours, and the life is yours. At the end of the day, whatever happens, the people who truly love you will always love you and support you. We can all do this. ♥️
    Everyday is a chance to live and to learn. Failures and mistakes are part of growth. We should be enjoying this life because this will be our only life. Enjoy the process as this will lead us to the life we want to live and be the person we want to be.

    personally, I found cleansing my room (specifically my clothes) really helps me when I burn-out and REALLY recommend learning some tips from Marie Kondo. More importantly being out in nature, sitting in silence

    When burnt out I tend to step back and away from from people. Maybe clean up my space that gives me a handle on things. I just sit, eat good food, read or watch tv. Discover more stuff about psychology and understanding myself more. These things always make me feel better.

      Gratitude journal: write down five things you're grateful for at the end of the day. Hardcopy or on an app. Five or three. Make it a habit and your mindset will change I promise.

      Focus on serving others. In any job we can think of the impact we make in others life. This plus doing it all with gratitude for our health and opportunities, I truly think will help.
      Sometimes when we have a crisis is a way for our heart to tell us to slow down and reflect a little bit. There are clues and to find them. We need to create the space in our life and reduce the stimulation we get from our fast pace pace and just be more often.

    I've recently come to understand that burnout less about overwork and more about the lack of personal relationships. Especially if you live alone. We take it all on ourselves and don't have that consistent ebb and flow of talking it out, support and interpersonal care. I think, at this point, it's a generational issue. Even though people have always worked hard and experienced high levels of stress, burnout seems more prevalent than ever. You should definitely go home and visit your parents. Your body is actually appropriately responding to burnout - you need your loved ones! Xx

    Look at burnout as an opportunity. Not as a hindrance. Burn out whether physical or mental is a way to truly recognize what makes your soul sing. And of course rest is key. I’m loving your vlogs and you truly bring much joy to my day. You are a gem 💎

    It's not a tip so to speak but I finally realised no-one is going to swoop in and help lift you out of burn out - that has to come from you. My job is and always will be stressed and high pressured and that's not going to change. The thing that can change is me and how I handle that stress. Still working on it but the first step to avoiding burn out is BOUNDARIES. Set strict boundaries and don't compromise on them. They are the start to healthy habits! Good luck! 💖

    I love how you're so transparent with us when you don't have to be thank you for showing us this side of you ❤️ also you can do your favorite activities or be with your friends or you can even journal and workout that's what I started doing when I feel burnt out. I also do self care for myself. Like go get massaged or get my nails and pedi anything to make myself feel better

    I went to NYC for a week for my first vacation ever. I was shocked at the shocked reactions my coworkers gave me when I told them I had never had a vacation and only don't come to work if it is physically impossible or a medical reason. My operations manager said "no wonder you hate your job you're burnt out, you need to take a break now and then." (I felt bad for ever doing so because sometimes I am the only person in my department and otherwise have one coworker in it. He told me to never feel bad for needing a break. your health in all forms especially mental is so important. Though I fell in love with New York. Even my first few days back in my city I was missing NY, and tonight is my first night back at work and I'm finding that it's not just my job I'm burnt out but the place I live too. normally when I have smaller burnout situations working with my hands helps a lot, but when it's artist burnout I need to do something different that still helps me clear my mind and focus, like a jigsaw puzzle or a nice big lego set

      Take your vacation seriously. Travel. See places. Break the routine. Will make you more productive when you get back. Do not let work be your identity. Never, ever give your job more time or effort that what they pay you for. Everybody is replaceable. Everybody. If we think we will not be, is our EGO saying that.ways invest in yourself than what you invest in your job. And a lot of self care because self care is self love. And we all need to work on that. I recovered from CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and it took 4 years out of my life. It was not my case but but out can turn in to CFS.

    Michelle, for exercise I was always told that good stretching and walking is all we need. Walking with one incline and even one stairs if knees are not hurting my Dad religiously walked 4 miles every day. He walked thru neighborhoods and on sidewalks on busy roads. However, you are suppose to not be able to talk and walk. That is cardio walk.

    I just wanted to thank you for your videos, they are keeping me company and sane these days, since I’ve recentrly moved back to uni and all my flatmates are still gone, i’m alone all the time, and sometimes i just feel so lonely and have recurrent negative thoughts.

    Life can get pretty challenging at times. When I feel anxious and overwhelmed I make sure I meditate, read and just take things slow. Put yourself first Michelle and rest when you need to. We all want you to be healthy and happy 💕 I was eyeing that pearl necklace, I want one too ✨️🥲

    i am witnessing a youtuber getting alongwith growing radiating and successful... i get inspired to start something new each time i watch her videos...honestly stressing due to over working and not having time to think out of work makes our personal development stagnant. which is basically burnout and mental stress! but i am making time out , taking therapy, painting canvases helps, doing your favourite hobby does..About michelle s each video has different vibes and some of them are fun loving light and expressively joyful and some are numb and stale normal human living in nyc ! we actually connect to every moods of her and experience sometimes living in nyc isnt about working being rich or always doing something but also taking breaks and handling breakdowns and getting confused and homesickness too !

    as others have mentioned, what really stands out to me are your wholehearted authenticity and relatability. What you said about your therapy sessions feeling draining recently - I totally get that!! I’ve felt the same way about my own therapy sessions at times and still do, but am trying to keep in mind that healing is not linear. Rather than a quick fix, I remind myself that it is more of a process that sometimes requires hard work and facing underlying fears, traumas and patterns which can absolutely feel scary and draining - and that’s okay!! It’s all part of the journey that I’m trying to embrace. I do hope you are feeling better these days and hope you can find the rest and relaxation that you deserve.     I’m a therapist and I always say to clients who feel upset they’re not making quick enough progress or feel worse rather than better is to try and sit with it, though frustrating. Our aim is that through it you’ll feel better, gain better self awareness and we’re supporting you all the way :)). With burnout I’d advise being really boundaried with yourself on how much you’re capable of taking on emotionally and physically. We are the ones that know ourselves best :).

    I always do journaling when get burn out. Release all the thought or idea that I wanna do. Take time alone. No people, no houseworks. Just me and my mind.

    I'm a new viewer/subscriber and I rarely comment on videos but I just wanted to let you know how much I love your videos and just how much they have helped me stay positive.
    I've been feeling burned out as well, down and alone these days ...(last night I was in tears listening to Jessie J's "Who You Are" as the lyrics "It's ok not to be ok" hit me right in the feels)...I've been feeling more unsure whether I am doing enough (especially for my daughter who is 7 months old), as well as for my husband and I just have been feeling so alone since I moved last September, practically halfway across the world to Canada (to my husband's hometown) where I know no one and my family and close friends are all back in Japan.
    However, one random day you came up in my youtube recommendations and since then I've been watching your videos and they have given me so much positivity and whenever I watch them it makes me smile.
    I love how pure and genuine your videos are (not to mention you have impeccable taste in everything! - from fashion, make up, decor, food, music!) and I just wanted to take the time today to let you know the amazing ways you have touched our hearts.
    Anyways, I'm so sorry for the ramble! I hope you feel much better!!

    and as for coping up with burnouts i could say that you’re really doing well! As for me i cope with burnouts by writing my feelings out because i feel like that’s my way of sorting of how i feel, reading books, watching movies and listening to music and basically consuming all the media out there hehe

    I reconnect with nature 🍃 luckily, I live in an island so whenever I feel drained, I just go to the beach and inhale some fresh hair. Also reading by the beach helps a lot. Nature has always been my healer. I suggest you go to a place where you can see a lot of beauty of our nature. Camp with your boyfriend or go to the beach 😊

    Hi Michelle! For dealing with burnouts, here are some tips: 1) Meditate, the Headspace app and website give great guided meditations 2) Do the things that bring you joy. I hope that helps!
