      @@jakewynn we don’t stamp our feet for two reasons submarines can detect us and we look like toddlers throwing a melt down by stamping feet. And we salute with back of hands pointing out because if u point your palm out you will have rope burns and it is disrespectful to show them

      @@bengriffin4638 it would look like toddlers if you were bad at it, but when it is done in perfect sycronisation, it just looks breathtaking. Especially when it's just a loud bang in an indoor space and you know that they are at attention. Also, not showing your hand is really American so it bothers me. Why not wear gloves when handling ropes? That seems very sensible and would result in less injuries.
