  • If a worker is constantly clearing condensation off their glasses, it can lead to worker distraction and removal of eyewear at the very least. If a worker has to remove their safety gear for any reason to do their job, it’s the wrong PPE
    Let’s put this in perspective: What do you think could happen if a worker can’t see clearly when they are working with dangerous machinery or in dangerous environments?

    Hey hello i just read an article started this year about anti fog chemicals, they seem to have high levels of pfdfa s or somethijg like that, that are linked with cancer, tyroid diesease, auto immune disease and blinding, what do you say?

      We sell safety equipment my friend so our goal is to educate those looking to minimize fogging to the best of our abilities. A good 360 degree anti fog coating manufactured to the glass is the best way to make that happen. My apologies for wasting your time with our free video but thank you for watching.

    Safety glasses are definitely important, just a shame some cost ridiculous amounts of money when you buy the branded one, but when I found out Softgle Comfort, I will never go with branded one. This is exactly the product I am looking for at the right price. #SoftgleComfort

    Since schools are now opening up, i have to go to lab for my chem class, i bought anti fog googles with air vents but they don't work. I also have to wear a face mask making it more easy to fog. Any suggestions?

      Most anti-fog coatings don’t work very well. The best way we’ve found is to use a good 360 degree coating that it impregnated into the glass/goggle. We’ve had really good luck with this one. www.radians.com/products/radians-lpx-iquity-goggle

      I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking here. Are we concerned with grease from the grill spattering into your eye? Most likely you’re going to want something more sealed more like a goggle. Thanks for watching!

  • @archibaldvonlictonpooper5703

    I work with a lot of acids and would like something that could potentially stand up against the occasional drop on the lenses. And fogging is an issue as to wipe the lenses I have to leave the line and take off my gloves and then wipe them.

    • @QuadCitySafetyInc
      @QuadCitySafetyInc  Před 2 lety

      Are we talking about occasional drop of acids on the lenses? If so, it would be helpful to look at an SDS sheet. My assumption would be that you should certainly be in a goggle. Thanks for watching and we would be happy to help get you into the right eye protection.

Some lens manufacturers do offer coatings more resistant to fogging. As for safety glasses I would suggest trying out the PIP Recon 360 coating. Yep, it’s really a trial and error in your environment sort of thing. Most antifog coatings are applied to the outside of the lens and it slowly wears off when you clean them. You need something also applied to the inside and it’s baked into the lens. Good luck and thanks for watching!

      Washing up liquid. Apply a very small speck on the lens(both sides) then wipe with dry tissue.
