Amituofo 🙏 The Thirteen Patriachs of Pure Land Buddhism text says: Buddhabhallika was a Brahman Buddhist Monk who traveled from Nepal to China to pay homage to the Buddhism Holy sight at Wu-Tai-Shan Mountain. Upon his arrival,he met a transformation body of the Manjushri Maha-Bodhisattva, and he was asked why he had come to China without bringing an important Sutra called " UNISHA VIJAJA DHARANI" because this sutra could benefit greatly sentient beings in this Dharma Ending Age. Knowing he saw a Great Saint, he promptly returned to Nepal but it took him many years before he was able to return with the Sutra in Sanskrit. Eventually, he and another Chinese Buddhist Master translated this sutra, and it has been said once the translation was completed he went into the Wu-Tai-Shan Mountain and was never again seen. It was believed he was accepted into the Manjushri Maha-Bodhisattva's congregation of Enlightened Saints. Since Great Master Fazhao saw him,this confirmed he was accepted as a disciple of the Manjushri Maha-Bodhisattva's. "Namo Amituofo"🙏🙏🙏

I prayed before I went to sleep and I dreamt I visited "pure land" I think it was pure land with Bodhisattvas and dhamma and practitioners and everything was beautiful and pure bliss. I was lead to read the Tipitaka and the dream. Can you talk about if dreams are connected to the spirit world or what do dreams like this mean?

Question: If a wrongdoer/crimininal who wish to be reborn on Amitabha Buddha's Pureland and sincerely confess and repents his/her wrongdoing/crime before Amitabha Buddha, then will he/she be reborn in Amitabha Buddha's Pureland?

I’m a Theravada Buddhist and I’m interested in Pure Land Buddhism, but Theravada texts mention that Mahayana was invented after the second Buddhist council. Therefore I’m afraid to fully embrace Pure Land Buddhism. Can you please clear my doubt?

is it the Buddha words or is it the teachers interpretation in the commentaries?
I read the Chan method Ksitigarbha sutra n I also practice nianfo aka Amitabha name chanting as much as possible,
ok.

Theravada method n Chan Mahayana method are almost similar bcoz both emphasised on Precepts observation n sitting down quietly tamed your mind meditation type n while in meditation they focus on their own breath etc.
Pure land sutras are different type than Chan school n their meditation method focus on Amitabha name instead , I believe so.

the Sutta n Mahayana Sutras all type can helps us in merits accumulation but based on my own experiment , nianfo is more powerful bcoz good n bad karma will speed up.
