@@c-man9441 Huh, well that's stupid. I mean we have big showcasers anyways, no matter how big the impact is. One thing I feel like is gonna happen, and I'd like to happen, is if games made by frot hasn't been made by others, of course in their style.
To me, nothing is more satisfying than actually seeing your character eat & drink consumables instead of just going into an inventory pausing the game, and taking the food and drink from there without the animation, and only hearing the sound effects it's a small thing but you know.

CW taking place in the 80s hence all the perks being in cans is a really nice touch
And the fact tzat inflation also made the perk machines diffrent
Before juggernog was 10 cents in bo1 but inflation happened and now juggernog is 40 cents

I think they did a good job with the redesign on the machines and the perks in general. While they strayed from their classic look, they still have a really likeable and neat design that still somewhat maintains the look of the original perk machines and have the same jingles we know and love. (Or hate)
Also I'm not so against the idea of perk cans. Their designs are pretty cool and the animation isn't half bad.
It would be awesome if they were real! And best part is that they'll cost the cent is says on the machines

Yeah, on Mauer Der Toten when I was being chased by a horde, i decided grab it so I could have a shotgun and I saw my points going up because I was getting 'trap kills' so I looked behind me and saw the guns working and I was like *"What The Pingas?! That's Awesome!"*
I found it out by accident, i was just casualy being chased by zombies and i decided to buy deadshot to clear a cammo challenge
When the zombies started to die one after another i guessed myself "do those weapons actually work?

I actually love the perk machine redesigns for Cold War it gives them all much more personality. I also love that the gave Death perception it’s own perk machine. Tbh I just thought they were going to port one of the machines over from BO4 and call it a day.
Tbh, I quite prefer when Treyarch was using the glass bottles......
But since the Juggernog and Quick Revive songs are still there, everything's more than fine.

No its from the aetherium crystals in the room that always cause crackling/geiger counter sounds. The machine is just in the same room as them

(Well Who's Who and Vulture Aid probably aren't gonna be added because Tombstone and Death Perception got them beat so one of them is probably gonna be another new one like Elemental Pop)
Electric Cherry, Whos Whos and Vulture Aid wouldnt make sense since those are abilities already implemented in other perks in this game (Elctric Cherry being Elemental Pop tier V, Whos Who being the base ability for Tombstone and Death Perception having an altered version of Vulture Aid) as for Widows Wine, Winters Wail would make a bit more sense but they could just fuse the two.
Its really interesting, if you slow down the video and look at the top of the can, you can see that the can has the old pull tab style of opening but they are animated as if they were modern soda cans where the tab stays on the can

I feel like speed cola would have the most pleasant taste, or qr. They’re both sodas, so i’m kinda left to assume that it’s a lemon-lime kinda taste like sprite. quick revive might taste like blue raspberry
I know it's been a year, but in case you haven't heard, Quick Revive supposedly tastes like Fish.
Probably my favorite bit of lore behind the perk a colas is that they all canonically taste like ass.
With drinks like speed cola being spicy apparently and quick revive tasting like pure fish juice.
Speed Cola is stated to store a slight amount of cocaine, hence why the characters say they feel jittery and off the rails
it's kinda sad the machines look different than from their first version but atleast they stuck with the original music that came with it :)
They redesigned the machines to blend in with the 80s setting

Does anyone else pan the camera up when they drink a perk, or is it just me?
I was quite surprised by the new introduction of cans rather than bottles! It was definitely a step out of the comfort zone, since we've been using bottles since the beginning, but it was a welcome change!
I miss the old animations though. Comparing it side by side, you can see that it doesn't make the screen blur for a bit, then fade back to normal. I liked that feature in the older COD, especially the attention to detail, since he'd have to stop holding the gun to actually open the bottle and all that. Cold War did some attention as well, like being able to hear the can clatter once you've discarded it.
Though one thing that annoys me is how easily he cracked open that soda can with his index finger. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a little challenging to perform? Especially one handed?
If you slow down the animation the can is shifted to the side with the ring of the can facing the player. After popping it open they turn the opening towards player. I can open cans like that too, just takes a little bit of practice. :)

I tried opening a can of carbonated water the same way the character does, and it’s really freakin hard to do. It’s impossible to do it fast. The devs and their shenanigans.

For all we know, there could've been a flavor re-design in some, if not all of the perk-a-colas.
