Buddhism often describes the journey to enlightenment as a series of steps that are referred to as ground, path, and fruition. Fruition, the result of practicing the Buddhist path, sometime will describe as attaining the two or three Kayas of the Buddha. The Sanskrit word kaya literally means ‘body’, designates the different manifestations or dimensions of a Buddha.
Three kayas of the Buddha, which are Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya. While the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya can be grouped into Rupakaya which became two kayas: Dharmakaya and Rupakaya. In this short teaching, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche illustrated the meaning of two kayas in a very simple and vivid way.
