    Wonderfully instructive.
It's amazing how little dust there is in this work environment. I visited a design lab in Pasadena that worked with similar machines and there was plastic dust and shavings all over the place. I wondered what sort of health issues the employees had to worry about.

@rr7firefly You suffer a painful death if you refuse to protect your lungs.. Very important to wear protective gear, respirators are always ignored. I'm a welder-CNC type designer and without exception wear safety equipment. Of course places like that might make them sign their life away.

I don't want to critique the success of Morphosis, they are respectable and hard working with their profession. In my opinion I can't relate with these spaces. I tend to see them generic and trivial since everybody is able to produce similar result. The feat of technology allow us to design difficult set pieces for our project but at the same time we throw away simplicity and cheat ourselves with the seduction of form.
Architecture should be about the quotidian space where we can relate instead of being a dream of Hollywood or a science fiction stage. Yes, parametric architecture, algorithms and the 3d printing and laser cutting allow us to be more analytic with our proposals. CNC among other tools are academic since they test our theories about space with sequential models. We can achieve more with these advantages however we are are cheating ourselves because we depend more and more on computers, technology. We leave out our hands, our tools and the drawing.

+kummer45 Interesting but I disagree, I think the use of technology in no way disarms us as artists / architects. Just as one learns to drive as if they were walking, we are able to manipulate technology in such a way that it is organic and empowering, it only takes understanding.
