None of the people criticizing William and Kate for not helping Meghan never ever call out Harry for doing nothing. It's not William's role to help Meghan , it's Harry's role as husband. And he said he was ashamed to get help. Harry was ashamed of his wife? He had a therapist himself on speed dial as we found out in his book. But he didn't help his wife and unborn child she was going to kill. But it's the brother in law who's the bad guy.

This narrative about not helping Meghan makes me crazy. In the Oprah interview, Harry admits he told no one in the family about Meghan's mental health problems. Why do reporters never bring this up? What exactly was the family supposed to do if they knew nothing about her problems? The now Prince and Princess of Wales had 3 children under the age of 5 or 6 at the time as well as their own responsibilities supporting the Queen. They had no time to babysit Harry and Meghan and the expectation that they should have is ridiculous.

I believe they inflicted Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, as well as William and Catherine to terrible bulling and unwarranted aggression that would have deeply affected this family's mental well being. I imagine with William's children being older that George and Charlotte have also endured some mental stress as their family came under attack by an Uncle. Harry knew the "don't complain, don't explain" policy and he and his wife used it to take full advantage of a heartless aggressive attack on his own family to try to force them into compliance with what Harry and Meghan wanted, and wouldn't accept when told "no".

Nothing is more painful than a betrayal and an emotional death. With a physical death, you go through a grieving period but then you hold on to the happy memories with that person. With an emotional death, you cut off entirely someone you dearly loved.

They both loved Harry and I'm sure they both still do, but all of this came about when Meghan entered the picture and with all the things she's done & said, especially the Okra (intended) interview, the treatment of the grandparents about not getting any visits or to see their grandchildren (which I am beginning to think are actually adopted and are kept away because of paranoia of DNA testing), the disrespect of MM talking about her stupid bowing to the Queen, just all of it has most likely hurt the Wales', maybe even beyond repair. Truly, Catherine and William made a great effort to do it low key and actually told the people they met with they wanted to hear their stories and they wanted to know ways they could help. They were truly empathetic. Harry and Meghan on the other hand, sat on a dais that was all white w/a sun ray logo in the back ground surrounded by bouquets of white flowers and in marches Meghan dressed all in white in and outfit very unbecoming the venue. As expected, she spoke about herself. Very disingenuous on their parts. Truly they have no class or shame. They are using people to get publicity and if this doesn't prove it then people that have not previously acknowledged their behavior should have seen it on display this last week. Not to mention their hired Uber car extravaganza driving around the block to the event from their hotel. Really??

I always felt so bad for William in this family debacle and wondered how hard it must be for him mentally to have essentially lost his brother. After all they’ve been through it must have all been crushing for him. I imagine he’s devastated by it all.
I imagine the same. It's his only brother, they were close, they shared the memory of their mother, and when William married he and Kate made sure Harry was never left out or made to feel like a spare wheel: those three genuinely seemed like a happy group. I am sure it was envy of what William had found in Kate that made Harry so desperate to marry and find the same.
He thought he had found that in Meghan, and that the foursome could work. William, ever more cautious, was concerned about him rushing his fences, and if he was tactless about it -- or even if he wasn't -- his caution put Harry's back up. And how right he turned out to be: Meghan talked a good game at the engagement interview, and made a good start to her Royal life, but quite early on she discovered that 1) she wasn't "getting paid for this"; 2) she was never going to be Queen Bee in the hierarchy.
After that it was all exit strategy: "mental health" problems, other ego issues, using Canada -- as if that quiet and unimpressionable country ever had a chance to sustain her ambitions (the tipoff was that they went to Vancouver Island, not to Toronto, which she knew well and which was both a media centre and a hub). No: the intention was Hollywood, and in British Columbia they were almost there. And she, anyway, ain't coming back.
And then to lose his grandparents and his concern about about his father and stepmothers health as well as his inlaws and of course his and Catherines three children. Harry has removed himself and his troublesome wife which must actually be a relief not to have to deal with their lies.

I love how Richard takes the angles he does on all the stories about M&H - polite, but getting in a good punch of truth too. Jo is a very willing accomplice, I notice, when necessary. What a strange question! Everyone suffers and has down and difficult times. Mental health should also be about neurodivergents and brain dysfunctions or changes to it. Before anyone piles on me, we have a lot of family trauma with this, not willing to share. So I am guessing Catherine and William have their down moments but are focused and I do hope they look after their mental health too.
When Prince William and Princess Catherine go to an event, it's about the people, NOT THEMSELVES, Princess Catherine has shared about the difficulties her brother had, but there is no demand that they share personal stories,.

I think the one thing that is clear is that he is not going to be welcomed back as long as he is involved with That Woman. She was not welcome at the Queen's deathbed -- explicitly -- and she was not made welcome any other time, and now she doesn't even bother to turn up when her husband is in England. If the marriage really is a success, he will be fulfilled by it in his American life. But there are the children, who bear Royal titles and do not know their grandfather or uncle (or any other family except Doria). It's a mess.
When a fully grown person needs help (it takes to admit you need help, and no one can make that decision for you), they pick up the phone and call a mental health professional of choice. In the 21st century it's easy peasy, especially when you have the funds to pay the fees. Even when you're broke, there's low-cost counselling available. I'm not even joking. It's not the last century when the need for some form of mental health care was stigmatized, and many times disregarded as a 'weakness of character' and simply left untreated. 😢
There was always going to be an issue with Harry and his role in the Monarchy, marrying Megham just accelerating it. Thank God for Charles and William that Harry's exit came under the reign of her late majesty, Queen Elizabeth. Because of the death of Diana, Wm and Harry became global celebrities, similar to Caroline and JFK, Jr in the US. Harry received attention and privileges that no other UK prince or princess had ever received because the horrible tragedy and the subsequent popularity of the boys. Harry is only finding out now that his worldwide fame is all due to his association with the Royal Family and his mother, the iconic Diana who he has totally tried to hijack her legacy for his own personal gains and brand. I don't ever see William having a close relationship with Harry again. esp. after what he put in his book, and I think the UK and world would understand and support that, Harry tried to tarnish the reputation of the UK Monarchy as his grandmother was celebrating her 70th year of reign. How despicable!

There was NEVER a 2 hour chase around the streets of Manhattan in NYC, by the Papp's. Impossible, cars are bumper to bumper like every other district in that state. The police were chasing to save them, in their dreams, the police turned off and went a different way to another incident, saw the video on here the other day. As for all the paps and people waiting to greet them this time there were just half a dozen photographers there, no one else took a blind bit of notice of them, just a glance to see what the fuss was about and went off about their daily business. The Harkle's are living in cloud cuckoo land, no body cares.

There is only one single good thing for me that has come from MeeMee and her wife, Harry, with their downfalls. I've become obsessed with H&M and their lies, grifting, entitled, self-centered behaviors for about the last 9 months. In watching this train wreck, I as an American, did not know very much at all about "royal life" I've always been a big fan of Diana, Princess of Whales, and her boys, but never understood what the monarchy does. Because of the Harkels, I have learned so many wonderful things about the Royal Family! The good that they really do for people is amazing! I've become a huge fan of the Royal Family nowadays. I look forward to reports every day on where they are and what they are doing! Prince William and Princess Catherine, of course, but also Princess Anne, Edward, and Sophia, have all simply taken over my heart. 💖 They are such lovely people and are properly using their statuses to do good things! I have so much respect for the real Royal Family!

Oddly, ive never watched the crown. Could never understand how people believe it as reality when noone knows the conversations people had behind the scenes, thought it a bit seedy. Also cancelled Netflix when that nonsense so called documentary was released, couldn't watch that or support a company that put it together yuck.

Of course it is an individual choice. I am well educated, well informed, and have met some of the most senior Royals several times at social occasions, even had one of them to lunch at my house, and I adored the series, have watched it three or four times over.

I watched a special Gayle King did on Meghan and she said a group was supporting her on twitter. I signed up to support Meghan Markle on twitter. As an American I was happy she was joining the Royal family and proud of her black heritage. My mother taught me the color of your skin doesn’t matter it is your character that counts. I wanted the group on twitter to look at her education and not attack people they felt were racist. I thought the squad was targeting people unfairly. They attacked me and bullied me so much I had to delete my twitter account. I never in my life felt such hatred. These people hated me. Why? On Oprah Meghan’s said,”rude and racist are not the same.” Meghan was insinuating that any criticism towards her was because she was black and therefore racist. This was a lie and I saw the hate that this belief caused. I no longer support Meghan Markle because it is not the color of your skin that matters but your character. Anyone who divides people to where they are hating on each other is not a good person! I don’t consider them as Royal anymore. Why do you treat Harry & Meghan as if they represent the Royal family?
