Flash the proper vendor/firmware for your device variant before flashing the custom rom. I did that when I first installed custom rom. This time was not my first time and so it was not necessary for me.
Do I flash the same firmware version as MIUI version I have(MIUI.11), or just flash the lastest version(MIUI.12)?
Firmware version and miui version are two different things. You have to flash the latest firmware version :)

Finally unlocked my bootloader and installed twrp for my redmi note 8 on my first try. I'm sweating while flashing the twrp many times, because the twrp that I've downloaded didn't work. So I keep looking for twrp for my redmi note 8 and I finally manage to find it and I downloaded it and go back to installation process. AND IT'S A SUCCESS!!! 2022 everyone!!

Thank you so much for your video. It’s really helpful. I bought a xiaomi phone from China and took it to Australia. I’ve successfully unlocked the BL as you instructed in your video. I installed the India version ROM via MiFlash tool instead of the Recovery. The phone has been working really well until I found a problem: I can’t use the Google pay for contactless pay in stores like Apple Pay because the BL is unlocked. I’ve tried to lock the BL, only to find that I can only relock the BL with the Chinese MIUI version (xiaomi put a regions restriction). So is it possible to bypass that restriction to relock the BL with a different region ROM? Cheers mate.

Without rooting, you'll not have any issues. Rooting is as per your requirement. Do it if it is required else don't.

Thank you. Simple and Precise was what I was going for. Yes you can use Orange Fox Recovery and yes without the vendor, you might end up in a bootloop.

Evolution x can be install wothout any vendor i guess. And the procedure is just same as the video first time I'm going to flash on my k20 pro.
I would recommend you to flash the vendor before flashing the rom. For me, I did not had to flash it before I already had a bootloader unlocked phone and first time even I flashed it.

Install the device drivers. Your phone isn't recognised by your pc.

Huawei as Huawei doesn't allow users to root their phones.
So I got a problem. I'm currently stuck in fastboot mode, i already flashed the twrp recovery file into my phone, it says it's OKAY, no failures whatsoever, but when I try to press the up volume and power button at the same time (The ones that will take me to twrp recovery mode), I always end up with fastboot mode. I tried it again and again, it always ends up back to fastboot mode. Basically, I can't boot to TWRP recovery mode, instead, i keep going back into fastboot mode even though the twrp recovery file is already flashed. If ever, thank you for responding.

@@nonchalan6 yes, in fact I did. But the thing is, you have to accept the fact that you can't install twrp. I found this neat guy on yt, his instructions are not that clear but I still manage to do it by using all the tutorials that I have watched. The only problem here just like I said earlier, you will not be installing twrp, instead, you'll directly "flash" the application you want to install (i think). For example, in my case, I want to root my phone by installing magisk in twrp, but it won't let me since i can't install twrp.

Yes you can. UNLOCK bootloader and install custom recovery then install whatever you want to.

in MI Unlock Status "Add account and device" does not work. It tells me "Insert SIM card and try again". I will not enter SIM card to this phone ever.
Without you inserting the sim card you'll never be able to unlock the phone's bootloader

Sometimes it happen. Did you try booting with custom recovery? After you flash the recovery, try this command 'fastboot boot .img

1. It is quite difficult to root.
2. There is no custom recovery available for Y11.
3. There are no custom ROMs available for Vivo Y11.

Turn on test mode on your window 10 and then install the fastboot drivers.

If you have a Mi phones, then exactly same steps would guarantee you the safest way to install a custom rom. However, there can be chances of bricking the phone in case of any errors.

On Samsung, you will have to unlock the bootloader via the Download Mode and then rooting can be done via the tool ODIN.
