Subscribing upon this video really helpful 🥰
Hi Welcome to the channel! Thank you!!! 🤗
Have you changed oil a second time? Did you (or will you) disassemble the cover again or use the specialty oil socket tool?
Another very helpful video from y’all! 👍
Thank you! Havent done a second change yet. Might save some $$ and open it the same way with the flat head and hammer 😅
Drive the screw driver thru the wall of the filter? I was worried if I do this and the walls of the filter are thin metal, might rip up the filter but not remove it. Ugh …
I believe this tool may make it easier to grab amzn.to/3RXJJf1 @@nedmorris9794
Hi there! Just hit 40 hours on the generator in our new Omni RS36 and I am going to give the oil change a shot. Thanks for the video! I am also taking several tips and tricks away from some of your other videos. Since we are on the F600, I did the Timbren suspension upgrade, shocks are in the mail, got the WeatherTech shades (love them) and did the slide locks.Tell me where to send the check ;)
😆 Thank you! Thats awesome! So glad our videos are helping. Wishing yall safe and happy travels 🤗
I'm changing oil and filter on my 2022 gen and noticed there is no part number on the grey filter. Onan/Cummins does this on purpose in my opinion. So I purchased the white filter before seeing your video and concluded manufacturer doesn't want you to do it yourself, they want to confuse you into thinking you won't be able to identify the correct number anywhere in a manual or online (the manual is not correct in many areas). Onan/Cummins is still using the grey filter on new gens but won't tell you the original part number (not the 122-0833). The O-ring specs on the white filter are completely different than the OEM.
Yeah, when we went to camping world there was a printed sheet with the filter part#s for all models and thats the filter it led us to. So far no leaks, everything still runs well no issues. All in all its pretty easy to DIY
We have the same Gen. I have an issue with 1 line out of the gen to the automatic switch control does not energize not allowing the magnetic switch to engage and sen pwr from gen to the coach. I keep being told check both breakers on the gen?? This is where I'm confused i can only find 1 breaker at the top left of our gen and the breaker switches in the house on the main breaker\fuse box, But i can't find any info about a 2nd breaker on the gen . Any Thoughts. Oh And THANK YOU FOR THE TIME TO MAKE THIS VIDEO IT WILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY WHEN I DO THE OIL CHANGE ON OUR GEN ONAN DG 6000
Hi thanks for tuning in appreciate the support! For our rig the 2nd relay was located in our stairway before the distribution block near where our bmi was located. It was about the size of a quater. Hope this helps
That did not look like the correct filter... Make sure it doesn't leak. There is a tool for the filter that fits over the end, like a socket. They don't generally work very well, though. The strap wrench, or the smaller metal ones, are probably better. I must admit I laughed pretty good when Kevin blew the hose right of the pump! That was great! Love you kids... Take care. Rick
Thanks! Yes all good no leaks 👍. 😆 Lol we had a good laugh too 😅
How is the ride in your motor home? I have a Ford f450 and it was great, but after a few thousand miles it shakes really bad. And it’s impossible to keep the tires up front from wearing wrong. I really want a magnitude but worried about the Ford platform. I will say Ford drivetrain has been nothing but awesome. Tons of power and very reliable, just turns out all superduty’s fall short with something up front. I was wondering since yours is a f550 or f600 if you have seen these issues start to come up
Hi! we replaced our factory shocks as they are pretty rough. It was one of the first things we swapped when we took it home. We have around 8k miles on the rig and the tires appear to be wearing evenly.
You guys gonna install a Fumoto on the generator too?
Definitley will look into it. We were just talking about an oil change coming up for the generator.
What is the pump used?
This is what we used
