    But shouldnt the fingers be littlebit more round because when playing really fast scales its hard like that

    The true grasp shouldn't involve bending the thumb joints. It comes from the base of the thumb. Real grasping is the essential.

    It would have been nice to see all 3 major cause of injuries in ONE video so I didn't have to go searching through shorts and this channel to find them (It appears to be on purpose). But OK, good to know this.

      It's common to think pianists just do things faster but not different, but actually; what he's doing is moving the hand faster than the thumb, upwards and sideways, to allow the thumb to get in position by just lifting it; the hand movement does the rest. See it like instead of the thumb reaching the key, it's the hand that heads to it before the thumb has even moved, preventing it to tense. I hope i was helpful ^^

    it's sad but you can't really play fast with legato like this, holding the pedal doesn't sound the same. and even if u release quick and move your thumb fast you get an accent on the transition. bit better for slow playing
