But she is an excellent teacher, you see i dont drive, it take me almost 7 hours by bus, then go bus, than subway, than bus to her place , each way take me 3.5 hours if i dont miss anybus at all. so you can understand how good i think she is otherwise i will take all this troubles
1966 - Wow! That's a long, long time ago. I will excuse the poor video quality then. The singing is compatible to that time period. It sends me down the memory lane - pretty enjoyable.
People rarely knew that this song was sung by Miew Kan Feng those yrs , but actually was Wei Siew Sen. Actress Sem Sem also told she was mistaken as the original singer. A touching song in the good movie.
One of the best Hong Kong Cantonese pop that withstood the test of time. For me this genre ends circa 70s. I cannot withstand any more contemporary ones. It is like jazz. If you needed to be explained what is real jazz, you will likely never get it.

短評：小時候第一次聽這首歌，是許冠傑的惡搞版本：「妹愛哥情重，呢句話係發噏瘋」。接著是在某歌詞書內看到這個「為食」版本：「妹愛阿華田，哥愛朱古力，為了三文治，牛奶夾芝士」。要再到後來才聽到「正經」版，是鄧麗君唱的版本，當時還以為她才是原唱者。幾十年後才知道這歌的真正原唱者是韋秀嫻（不是苗金鳳，韋秀嫻是幕後代唱）。幾十年來的翻唱版本不計其數，個人比較喜歡鄭秀文版，經林振強重新填詞及江志仁(C.Y.Kong)重新編曲，充滿時代感，亦使《一水隔天涯》在九十年代重生。梅艷芳的版本亦很特別，把《一水隔天涯》和葉德嫻的《變》合成一首歌，別有一番fusion風味。
