    Thanks! We were able to get our customer straightened out where he had got the plates mixed up!

    Excellent tutorial....I will be rebuilding my CT90 clutch in the following weeks and this is the most helpful video I've seen yet.
    Good job.

    I have a buddy that is giving me a 68 trail 90. Starts right up with a half kick. However shifting is god aweful. Thanks for this video. I think it needs a new clutch but I will try to pull it apart to figure out whats wrong.

    Thanks for the video. Simple. Easy. Straight to the point. My kind of video. Thanks also for the links to stuff you mentioned in the video as well. Makes it super easy.

    Thank you so much for the detailed tutorial! Very in depth. But one question: let's say the clutch was slipping before pulling the engine apart, like if the clutch is worn out and slipping, would you be able to rotate the gear both ways or would it still not spin the other way?

    The ct200 clutch is almost identical, for those that are wondering

    What's with you and these Trail 90s ? 🙄😂 Good to see a breakdown of another type of clutch basket👍 Awesome point on using JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) bits on Japanese bikes🤣🤣🤣 It never gets addressed, Ive seen sooo many guys strip out heads with a Philips tip, but enough about Makirio Carburetors 🤣 Good job on having the right tool for the right job. 🔧👏 So whats the next bike ? DRZ400 or KLR650 ?🤔 Those will keep you busy heh😲 Tx4V 👍

      I just can't help but want a little trail 90 to cruise on! They are just too fun and versatile to ignore. Since I found the newer trail 90 I will likely gift the older project to a friend.
      I've got less time on my hands, so I'm doing away with the Vulcan project as the top end was wrecked. In the next few weeks I'll release this weekend's journey. I've got 2 days to buy and fix a $500 dirtbike before I put it through some tough trails! Keep an eye out for that one! Let's just say it's red and it burns oil 😁

    Thank you for the video! One of the bent out tips on my snap ring broke off. Could I still use it? Short term perhaps?

    • @2wheelin
      @2wheelin  Před rokem +1

      I wouldn't trust any broken clips or snap rings inside my engine. It's such a small and inexpensive part to replace, and if it came apart it could destroy the engine.

    Can you tell by looking at the adjusting screw for the clutch if your clutch plates are worn?

    • @nealblackburn8628
      @nealblackburn8628 Před 2 lety +1

      no because the adjustment thread is not in the case it is in a part that pushes up against the clutch

    Hey thanks for this video! I’m sure I’ll be watching it several times. My clutch is turning both ways and does not turn easily. Any tips?

      You may have really gunky/worn or stuck together clutch plates. Try removing the clutch plates. Clean all the parts and sand the metal plates smooth if they're burnt. See if that does it

    Is it always necessary to replace the springs with new ones?
