During our recent stay at the Anaheim Marriott, I found such a great deal on a last minute stay that I decided to splurge for a Pool View Room...but when we arrived at check in, we were offered an 'upgrade' to a Corner Suite....but was it really an upgrade?

Lol unfortunately we found the underwear as we were packing up to leave so we were blissfully unaware for most of our stay 😬🤭

I'm doing okay. I try to focus on getting to the other side of this, but then people start saying things like "this will always be with us" and it feels like life will never be as carefree again. We were supposed to be on a US road trip right now rolling our way to Disneyland and it's hard to see the park closed and our trip in ashes. I keep telling myself that no one knows (not even the immunologists/viral specialists) what the future of covid will look like, and I hold out hope that we will return to those pre pandemic experiences. The days where we can smile at each other with our full faces and not worry about giving someone a hug! It's gotta come back right? Hopefully we will cross paths in an Anaheim hotel or in the park with this well and truly behind us! How are you guys doing?
Oh Lynne, it must be heartbreaking to have a vacation disappear like that 😢💔. I have always wanted to do a road trip down the West Coast and I think that's probably what will happen soonest for us once it's safe to travel again. I get caught up in all of the negativity more often than I'd like to admit, but one thing I come back to is how amazing this will be once we're on the other side of it. I know the world won't be exactly the same, but maybe it can be better in some ways?
Ben & I had a really rough couple years and things had been really improving for about a year before the pandemic hit so now I'm working from home for now and I try to look at it in a positive way like I can spend some extra quality time with him. The stress seems to come in waves and each time it happens I seem to get better at handling it and also appreciate all the good things more and more. It would be amazing to cross paths in Anaheim once this is all behind us! I look forward to that day!
I stayed there in June of 2011 for a high school event. I stayed in room 931, which should be 3 floors above yours. It was a 2-bedder and the bathroom had a tub shower. I actually loved it and would have given it a 4 out of 5. I really liked the pool.
Does this hotel no longer have 2 pools. Back in the late ‘80’s, early ‘90’s they did.

Hi Nicole! Yeah it’s pretty crazy to me that some hotels still charge for basic wifi. I think they offer free wifi as long as you booked directly through the hotel and you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member. I’ve been a Bonvoy member for a while and was kind of irritated that I didn’t get wifi because I booked through a third party website for this stay. Thanks for watching 💗
I would have gone with the pool view 100%! I would rather watch people having fun then buildings. I do like that they have a covered area in the pool as I tend to burn easily.
